  • Hawks' Luke Kennard: Signs with Atlanta

Kennard agreed to a one-year, $11 million deal with the Hawks on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Kennard will join Atlanta after spending the past two-plus seasons with Memphis. The sharpshooter will provide the club with depth on the wing behind Dyson Daniels, Jalen Johnson (shoulder), Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Zaccharie Risacher. Kennard appeared in 65 regular-season outings (11 starts) in 2024-25, averaging 8.9 points, 3.3 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.7 three-pointers while shooting 43.3 percent from downtown across 22.6 minutes per game.

  • Grizzlies' Luke Kennard: Dishes three assists in Game 4

Kennard posted four points (2-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt), three rebounds and three assists over 18 minutes during Saturday's 117-115 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Even with Ja Morant (hip) being ruled out for Game 4, Kennard didn't see an increased role off the bench compared to the 33 minutes he played in Game 3. Kennard spent most of the year as a reserve for the Grizzlies (though he did start in 11 games) and he finished the regular season averaging 8.9 points, 3.3 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 0.8 steals over 22.6 minutes per game while connecting on 43.3 percent of his three-point attempts. Kennard will enter the offseason as an unrestricted free agent.

  • Grizzlies' Luke Kennard: Officially good to go

Kennard (Achilles) is available for Saturday's Game 4 versus the Thunder. Kennard has been upgraded from questionable to available Saturday despite dealing with right Achilles soreness. Due to Ja Morant (hip) being ruled out, Kennard may receive an increased role in Game 4.

  • Grizzlies' Luke Kennard: Iffy for Saturday

Kennard is listed as questionable for Saturday's Game 4 versus the Thunder due to right Achilles soreness. Kennard is in danger of missing Game 3 due to an Achilles issue. With Ja Morant (hip) deemed doubtful, Memphis could be left with Scotty Pippen as the team's only available point guard against Oklahoma City.

  • Grizzlies' Luke Kennard: Increased role in Game 3 loss

Kennard had five points (2-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt), five rebounds, three assists and three steals over 33 minutes during Thursday's 114-108 loss to the Thunder in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Kennard logged 33 minutes, sliding up in the rotation after Ja Morant left the game early due to a hip injury. Despite the promotion, Kennard struggled on the offensive end, scoring no more than five points for the third playoff game. Should Morant miss Saturday's Game 4, Kennard could be the primary beneficiary, at least from a minutes standpoint.

  • Grizzlies' Luke Kennard: Held to four points in loss

Kennard totaled four points (2-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and one block in 18 minutes during Tuesday's 118-99 loss to the Thunder in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Although he's shooting 50 percent from the field in the playoffs, the Grizzlies are using the veteran sharpshooter very sparingly. Through the opening two games, Kennard is averaging 4.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.5 blocks and 0.5 three-pointers in 15.0 minutes per contest.

  • Grizzlies' Luke Kennard: Not listed on injury report

Kennard (knee) is off the injury report for Tuesday's Play-In Game against Golden State. Kennard missed the club's regular-season finale in Sunday's win over Dallas due to right knee soreness, though he's set to return for Tuesday's Play-In Game. The 28-year-old has averaged 5.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists across 22.5 minutes per game in his last 10 appearances.

  • Grizzlies' Luke Kennard: Won't play Sunday vs. Dallas

Kennard (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Mavericks. Kennard will miss Sunday's regular-season finale due to right knee soreness, but he should be ready to go for the start of the Grizzlies' postseason run, potentially as soon as Tuesday for the start of the Play-In Tournament. With Kennard, Desmond Bane (groin), Ja Morant (shoulder) and Scotty Pippen (back) all out, the door is open for Yuki Kawamura, Cam Spencer, Vince Williams and John Konchar to all see increased playing time.

  • Grizzlies' Luke Kennard: Not likely to play vs. Dallas

Kennard is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Mavericks due to right knee soreness. The Grizzlies have already locked up a spot in the Play-In Tournament, so there's no point in risking some of their regular rotation members, and Kennard fits that mold as a dangerous sharpshooter, regardless of whether he starts or comes off the bench. The doubtful tag suggests Kennard might not play, and if he ends up being ruled out, Cam Spencer, John Konchar and Vince Williams could see more time in the backcourt. Other players such as Scotty Pippen (back), Desmond Bane (groin) and Ja Morant (shoulder) are also carrying doubtful tags.

Kennard was back in the rotation, scoring double-digit points for the first time in the past 10 games. It's been an up-and-down season for Kennard, who at one point played a key role, starting four consecutive games in early February. Through 65 games, he has averaged 8.9 points, 3.3 assists and 1.7 three-pointers in 22.6 minutes per game.

Kennard (back) won't play Monday against the Suns. Kennard will miss his second game in a row and remains day-to-day for the Grizzlies. His next chance to play comes Wednesday against the Jazz. • Grizzlies' Luke Kennard: Doubtful for Sunday

Kennard is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Pelicans due to low back soreness. The veteran guard's potential absence could lead to the Grizzlies leaning on Scotty Pippen to shoulder a heavier load off the bench. Kennard had appeared in each of the Grizzlies' last 27 games, averaging 10.1 points, 3.7 assists, 2.7 rebounds, 1.9 three-pointers and 0.8 steals in 23.4 minutes per contest.

Kennard is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Spurs due to left lower back soreness. Kennard is in danger of missing his first game since Jan. 4 due to a back issue.
