  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Retreats to bench

Gueye won't start Monday's game against the Clippers, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports. Gueye drew a spot start Saturday and fared well, but he'll return to his typical bench role with Jalen Johnson back in action Monday. The Washington State product is averaging 5.2 points and 4.6 rebounds in 15.0 minutes over his last five appearances as a reserve.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Leads Atlanta in start

Gueye amassed 21 points (8-12 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block across 34 minutes in Saturday's 122-102 win over the Lakers. Gueye got the starting nod for the injury-plagued Hawks, posting a team- and career-high 21 points. He also knocked down four three-pointers for just the second time in his career. Additionally, the 22-year-old dished out a career-high mark in assists after totaling eight in his first nine regular-season appearances. He'll likely continue to provide a spark off the bench, though Gueye is a likely candidate to step into the starting five whenever Jalen Johnson (quadriceps) is sidelined.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Flirts with double-double in win

Gueye produced 13 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-3 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, one block and three turnovers in 30 minutes off the bench during Friday's 111-107 win over Orlando. Gueye got some extended run in this one with Kristaps Porzingis (illness) unavailable and both Jalen Johnson and Onyeka Okongwu dealing with foul trouble, and he made the most out of the opportunity. He brought some great energy and grit to the second unit, but it's worth noting he only saw five minutes off the bench in the season opener when Porzingis was healthy. There's a lot of talent here, but he's currently buried on the depth chart.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Off injury report for Wednesday

Gueye (rest) is off the Hawks' injury report for Wednesday's game against the Raptors, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Gueye will return to game action after sitting out Thursday's preseason loss to the Rockets. The 22-year-old big man is expected to provide frontcourt depth for the Hawks this season behind Jalen Johnson, Kristaps Porzingis and Onyeka Okongwu.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Scores in double figures

Gueye totaled 12 points (5-5 FG, 2-5 FT), four rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 26 minutes during Tuesday's 120-95 Play-In Game loss to the Magic. Gueye was a bright spot in a disappointing overall showing from the Hawks. The forward offers solid per-minute upside in fantasy, but he's seen just 21.4 minutes over his last five outings. In that span, Gueye has posted averages of 7.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks on 56.5 percent shooting from the field.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Career-high 18 boards

Gueye chipped in 10 points (4-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 18 rebounds, two assists, one block and three steals in 33 minutes during Friday's 124-110 victory over the 76ers. Coming off a 12-rebound effort against the Nets on Thursday, Gueye did even better on the boards Friday as he hauled in a career-high 18 rebounds, nine of which came on the offensive side of the floor. Gueye has averaged 7.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.0 steals over 20.4 minutes per game over his last five outings.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Bench role against Utah

Gueye will come off the bench during Sunday's game against the Jazz, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. After starting the last four games for the Hawks, Gueye will be in the second unit for Atlanta on Sunday against Utah. In four games in a reserve role this season, Gueye is averaging 5.3 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 37.5 percent from the field.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Moving to bench role

Gueye isn't starting Thursday's game against the Heat. Gueye will come off the bench for the first time since Feb. 7, as the Hawks have elected to change up the starting five. The Washington State product has been quiet across the board of late, averaging 4.1 points and 3.0 rebounds in 14.6 minutes over his last seven appearances. Vit Krejci will be penciled into the starting lineup in Gueye's place.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Muted performance in loss

Gueye notched two points (1-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and three blocks over 17 minutes during Sunday's 122-114 loss to the Nets. Gueye posted a dud of a fantasy line Sunday, but his fantasy managers should consider cutting him some slack. Over his last seven outings, Gueye has been a top-100 fantasy player in nine-category formats in just 19.2 minutes with 7.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.7 blocks.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Starting Tuesday

Gueye will start in Tuesday's game against the Bucks, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Gueye will return to the starting five after receiving a DNP in Monday's win over Memphis. The 22-year-old has started in each of his last seven appearances, averaging 4.4 points and 1.9 rebounds across 13.7 minutes per contest.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Not starting Monday

Gueye will come off the bench in Monday's game against Memphis, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Dominick Barlow will supplant Gueye in the starting five Tuesday, marking his first contest coming off the bench since Feb. 7. In seven consecutive starts, the forward had averaged 4.4 points and 1.9 rebounds across only 13.7 minutes per contest.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Back with parent club

The Hawks recalled Gueye from the G League's College Park Skyhawks on Monday. Gueye will rejoin the Hawks for Monday's game in Orlando after he had been assigned to the G League ahead of Saturday's 125-111 win over the Wizards. The Hawks chose to hold the second-year big man out Saturday because he had already seen significant playing time in both of the previous two days, as he logged 34 minutes for College Park in Thursday's win over the Birmingham Squadron before joining Atlanta and producing 15 points, 12 rebounds, four blocks and two steals in 23 minutes in Friday's win over the Bucks. In the wake of his big performance Friday, Gueye may have made a case for a more permanent spot in the rotation, though he likely won't be in line for major minutes in Monday's game in any case since the Hawks have all of their key forwards and centers available aside from Jalen Johnson (shoulder).

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Retreats to bench

Gueye isn't in the starting five for Saturday's game versus the Pacers, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Gueye will be replaced by Dominick Barlow in the starting lineup Saturday. Gueye is averaging 2.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 10.0 minutes during his three appearances coming off the bench this season.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Drops 11 points in spot start

Gueye racked up 11 points (5-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt), seven rebounds and one block in 22 minutes during Tuesday's 100-96 loss to Houston. Gueye was unexpectedly named a starter Tuesday, filling in for Zaccharie Risacher, who was resting on the second night of a back-to-back. It was the first start of Gueye's career and just the fourth time he has appeared in a game all season. There is no reason to think he will step into a consistent role assuming the Hawks can stay relatively healthy.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Returns from G League

The Hawks recalled Gueye from the G League's College Park Skyhawks on Saturday, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Gueye will be back with Atlanta ahead of Saturday's NBA Cup game against the Bucks, but he's unlikely to be included in the rotation.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Returns to NBA

The Hawks recalled Gueye from the G League's College Park Skyhawks on Wednesday. Gueye was available for Wednesday's 108-100 win over the Knicks but went unused off the bench. The 22-year-old big man has been a regular contributor for College Park this season, averaging 9.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 27.4 minutes.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Returns from G League

Atlanta recalled Gueye from the G League's College Park Skyhawks on Friday, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Gueye was assigned to the G League on Friday and recalled the same day. The 21-year-old will be available off the bench for Friday's game against the Kings but isn't a lock to be included in head coach Quin Snyder's rotation, even with injuries piling up for Atlanta.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Assigned to G League

Gueye was assigned to the G League's College Park Skyhawks on Friday, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Gueye will join the Skyhawks Friday, though he could be recalled as soon as Friday's night game against the Kings, according to Rowland. The 21-year-old has appeared in just one contest for the Hawks this season, during which he scored two points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) across three minutes.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Cleared to play

Hawks general manager Landry Fields said Monday that Gueye (hip) will be ready for training camp this week, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports. Gueye had a very quiet rookie season for the Hawks, playing 11 regular-season games with averages of 2.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.6 blocks. With Atlanta's considerable depth at center, Gueye is unlikely to crack the rotation to open the new campaign.

  • Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Won't play Thursday

Gueye (elbow) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Mavericks, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports. Gueye hasn't suited up since late October due to his elbow injury, and he'll be sidelined again Thursday. He recently progressed to full-contact workouts, but it's unclear whether he'll return to game action before the end of the regular season.
