Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Sheds walking boot
Kuminga (ankle) wasn't wearing a walking boot Wednesday but remains in the middle stages of his recovery, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.
Kuminga suffered a significant lateral right ankle sprain Jan. 4 and was set for re-evaluation three weeks after the injury. He had been wearing a walking boot since but was spotted Wednesday without it for the first time. Kuminga is still not close to returning, and the update doesn't necessarily mean he's ahead of schedule. However, it's worth noting he has been making progress in his recovery.

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Out at least three weeks
Kuminga will be re-evaluated in three weeks after an MRI confirmed that he sustained a significant lateral right ankle sprain in Saturday's 121-113 win over the Grizzlies, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.
Head coach Steve Kerr had already been ruled Kuminga out for Sunday's game against the Kings, and after the young forward was sent in for tests, the Warriors learned they'll be without him for additional time beyond that. Given that the three-week timeline is merely a re-evaluation date, Kuminga's absence will most likely extend into February, and possibly through the All-Star break. Kyle Anderson, Moses Moody, Buddy Hield and Lindy Waters are all candidates to see increased playing time for as long as Kuminga is sidelined.

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Done for night
Kuminga won't return to Saturday's game against the Grizzlies with a right ankle sprain, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports. He finished with 13 points (4-6 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), two rebounds, two assists and three turnovers in 19 minutes.
Kuminga landed awkwardly on his right ankle a couple of minutes before halftime before being ruled out for the game. He was walking with a significant limp after checking out of the game, and he stayed in the back in the locker room during halftime to apply ice to his injured ankle. He should be considered questionable at best for Sunday's game against the Kings.

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Ankle sprain deemed significant
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said that the right ankle sprain Kuminga suffered in Saturday's 121-113 win over the Grizzlies is "significant," and the forward is slated to undergo an MRI on Sunday, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.
Kerr went ahead and ruled Kuminga out for Sunday's game against the Kings, and the fourth-year player will most likely miss time beyond that. A firm timeline for Kuminga's return won't be established until the MRI results are read, but Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com speculates that the 22-year-old will miss the entirety of Golden State's upcoming four-game road trip that begins Thursday in Detroit. Kuminga posted 13 points (4-6 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), two rebounds and two assists in 15 minutes before leaving early Saturday, and he had enjoyed an extended run of productive play prior to that with averages of 20.9 points, 6.2 boards, 2.7 assists, 1.4 three-pointers, 0.8 steals and 0.8 blocks in 30.7 minutes over 14 games dating back to the beginning of December. His upcoming absence will likely pave the way for Kyle Anderson to re-enter the rotation, and players such as Buddy Hield, Lindy Waters and Moses Moody could also see their roles expand.

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Goes to locker room
Kuminga left Saturday's game versus the Grizzlies with 2:27 left in the second quarter after an awkward landing, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.
Kuminga appeared to tweak his ankle and limped to the locker room. Until the Warriors provide an update, fantasy managers should consider him questionable to return.

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Efficient 20 points in win
Kuminga contributed 20 points (8-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one steal across 25 minutes during Thursday's 139-105 win over Philadelphia.
With his 20-point effort Thursday, Kuminga extended his streak to 16 consecutive games in double-digit scoring figures. During that span, the former first-rounder is averaging 20.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.9 steals, 0.7 steals and 1.4 threes in 29.8 minutes. Kuminga is shooting just 66.0 percent from the charity stripe over this frame, however, so he remains a more appealing fantasy option in points leagues despite righting the ship after a slow start to the season.

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Logs double-double from bench
Kuminga ended Monday's 113-95 loss to the Cavaliers with 18 points (4-15 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 10-14 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 32 minutes.
Most of the starting five struggled during Monday's loss, but Kuminga had a successful night against Cleveland's interior. The duo of Trayce Jackson-Davis and Kuminga limited Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen to only 19 points and 16 rebounds combined, which is excellent considering the duo's usual production. Deficiencies elsewhere in the lineup torpedoed the team's chances, but the successful night inside is a good sign amid the Warriors' current slump.

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Ties career high with 34 points
Kuminga closed Saturday's 109-105 win over the Suns with 34 points (12-20 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 8-12 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one steal across 34 minutes.
Kuminga scored 34 points for a second straight game Saturday, with his last point coming from the free-throw line to give the Warriors a one-point lead late in the fourth quarter. Kuminga continues to see plenty of playing time and opportunities on the offensive side of the floor despite coming off the bench, and head coach Steve Kerr said after Saturday's game that he feels like Kuminga is "turning a corner," per Anthony Slater of The Athletic. For the month of December, Kuminga has averaged 21.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists over 31.0 minutes per game.

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Notches career-high 34 points
Kuminga closed Friday's 102-92 loss to the Clippers with 34 points (11-19 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 11-14 FT), 10 rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block across 37 minutes.
Kuminga kept the Warriors competitive Friday with a career-high scoring haul. Despite coming off the bench, Kuminga received a season-high minutes total while reaching double figures in the scoring column for the 13th straight game. While his offensive output has been encouraging, his lack of peripheral statistics have been somewhat of an issue, as Kuminga is averaging just 4.8 rebounds and 0.9 steals for the season. Expect Kuminga's usage and playing time to take a significant hit Saturday against the Suns if both Stephen Curry (knee) and Draymond Green (back) are back in action after sitting out the front end of the back-to-back set.

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Thrives off bench in loss
Kuminga logged 26 points (9-16 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 6-9 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and one block over 30 minutes during Monday's 111-105 loss to the Pacers.
The Warriors suffered their fourth loss across their last five games, but Kuminga was impressive on both ends of the court and finished with a team-high 26 points. The fourth-year forward has performed well both as a starter and off the bench, and he's been a reliable fantasy producer even if he's lacked consistency at times. Kuminga is averaging 18.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game over his last six appearances.

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Shifting to bench
Kuminga will come off the bench Thursday against the Grizzlies, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.
Kuminga has been putting together a strong stretch of play, but the Warriors have elected to roll with Draymond Green as the starting power forward Thursday. Kuminga should still be in store for a healthy workload having put up 20 points in three straight appearances.

Kuminga totaled 20 points (9-15 FG, 2-3 3Pt), three rebounds and six assists over 30 minutes during Sunday's 143-133 loss to the Mavericks.
Kuminga continues to start for the Warriors and is in the midst of one of the best stretches of his career. Over his last five games, he's averaging 20.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.2 blocks, 0.7 steals and 1.7 three-pointers on 49.1 percent from the field and 40.0 percent from beyond the arc.
