Marjanovic registered two points (2-2 FT) and one rebound across eight minutes during Friday's 121-115 win over the Pistons. Marjanovic sightings have been few and far between this season, although he has made three appearances over the past two weeks. It remains to be seen if he'll get more than a handful of minutes in the final four games of the campaign.... See More ... See Less

Rockets' Boban Marjanovic: Cameo appearance Friday
Marjanovic chipped in one rebound across two minutes during Friday's 114-112 win over the Pelicans. Marjanovic played for the first time in almost two weeks, logging two minutes in the win. Head coach Stephen Silas opted to go with Marjanovic for the final play of the game, utilizing his size to defend the inbounds play. A deflection resulted in the Rockets holding on for a third straight victory. While this is a bit of a feel-good story, there is obviously nothing to see here from a fantasy perspective.... Rockets' Boban Marjanovic: Rejoins Houston
Marjanovic re-signed Monday with the Rockets after clearing waivers. Marjanovic was waived Friday for procedural purposes after the Rockets needed to clear up roster room for their new additions following Thursday's trade deadline, but Houston was always expected to bring back the veteran center once he cleared waivers. The Rockets appear set to stick with Usman Garuba as the primary backup option at center behind starter Alperen Sengun, so Marjanovic doesn't look as though he'll be a factor in head coach Stephen Silas' rotation in most games.... Boban Marjanovic: Gets waived by Rockets
Marjanovic was waived by the Rockets on Thursday, Adam Spolane of Sports Radio 610 Houston reports. Marjonvic's time with the Rockets has come to an end as the team announced they're waiving the veteran center. Marjanovic saw 4.2 minutes a game in 17 games with Houston. With the center's release, the Rockets will likely finish out the remainder of the 2023 season with Usman Garuba relieving Alperen Sengun.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Boban Marjanovic: Cameo appearance Thursday
Marjanovic totaled four points (2-3 FG), three rebounds and one assist in six minutes during Thursday's 113-95 loss to Cleveland. Marjanovic made a celebrity cameo in the loss, the first time he has seen action in almost two weeks. Despite his popularity amongst fans, Marjanovic simply can't foot it with the speed of today's NBA. Based on what we have seen thus far this season, there is almost no way he plays more than about eight minutes on any given night. His fantasy value is non-existent.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Boban Marjanovic: Six points in four minutes
Marjanovic registered six points (3-4 FG), three rebounds and one assist over four minutes during Thursday's 129-114 loss to the Mavericks. Marjanovic logged four garbage time minutes in the loss, basically summing up his current role for the Rockets. Despite his per-minute upside, Marjanovic simply can't hang with the current crop of NBA talent, meaning the majority of his time is spent cheering on from the sideline. In short, his fantasy value is non-existent.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Boban Marjanovic: Seven points in five minutes
Marjanovic closed with seven points (3-3 FG, 1-1 FT) across four minutes during Thursday's 118-109 loss to San Antonio. Marjanovic made a rare appearance in the loss, taking to the court for just the eighth time this season. While his per-minute production can be highly intriguing, he simply isn't built to play a significant role. As this point, there is little chance he becomes fantasy relevant for any length of time, even in deeper formats.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Boban Marjanovic: Makes rare appearance Saturday
Marjanovic recorded one point (0-1 FG, 1-2 FT), one rebound and one steal across three minutes during Saturday's 129-117 loss to the Timberwolves. Marjanovic saw action for just the fourth time this season, bringing his season total to 13 minutes. It is clear he does not fit the Rockets' timetable and is merely making up the numbers. Given he has never been able to maintain anything close to standard league value, managers can continue to ignore him.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Boban Marjanovic: Barely plays in loss
Marjanovic recorded no stats in two minutes during Wednesday's 109-101 loss to the Jazz. While Marjanovic has played in the Rockets' last three games, he hasn't played over four minutes or scored more than three points. It's hard to see Marjanovic having much fantasy value unless there are significant injuries ahead of him.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Boban Marjanovic: Heading to Houston
Marjanovic was traded Wednesday along with Trey Burke, Marquese Chriss, Sterling Brown and the 26th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft to the Rockets from the Mavericks in exchange for Christian Wood, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. In what appears to be the first big-name trade of the offseason, Marjanovic is heading to Houston after spending the previous four years with the Mavericks. The center played a minimal role for Dallas this past season, however, and averaged 4.5 points and 1.8 rebounds in just 22 games. Marjanovic will likely play behind Alperen Sengun and Usman Garuba on a Rockets squad that is heavy with frontcourt depth.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Boban Marjanovic: Back in mix during blowout
Marjanovic amassed eight points (3-5 FG, 2-2 FT) and six rebounds over 12 minutes during Friday's 128-78 win over the Trail Blazers. Marjanovic played double-digit minutes for just the fourth time during the campaign and for the first time since Dec. 4. The Serbian big man has made 21 appearances this season and is averaging 4.5 points and 1.8 rebounds in 5.7 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Boban Marjanovic: Plays in first game since December
Marjanovic played three minutes in Friday's 107-98 win over the 76ers, finishing with two points (1-1 FG), one foul and no other statistics. Though Marjanovic cleared the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols back on Jan. 8, he hadn't appeared in any games for Dallas until getting light minutes Friday. Even if Kristaps Porzingis and Maxi Kleber miss additional time with their respective knee injuries, Marjanovic doesn't look like he'll be featured regularly in head coach Jason Kidd's rotation.... Mavericks' Boban Marjanovic: Clears protocols
Marjanovic has been cleared of the league's health and safety protocols ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Bulls, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports. Marjanovic has been sidelined since Dec. 29. While he's cleared protocols, it remains to be seen whether he'll have any restrictions Sunday against Chicago.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Boban Marjanovic: Placed in COVID-19 protocols
Marjanovic was placed in the league's health and safety protocols Wednesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Marjanovic and Brandon Knight were the latest Mavericks to be sidelined due to COVID-19 protocols, bringing Dallas' total to nine players currently sidelined. In Marjanovic's absence, Moses Brown and Marquese Chriss will likely be the primary backups to starting center Dwight Powell.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Boban Marjanovic: Gets off the bench Friday
Marjanovic had four points (2-4 FG), three rebounds and one block in eight minutes during Friday's 107-91 loss to the Pelicans. Marjanovic made a rare appearance in Friday's loss, sliding in as the backup center with Kristaps Porzingis ruled out due to a knee injury. As usual, Marjanovic was able to contribute in limited minutes, but there isn't much to see from a fantasy perspective.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Boban Marjanovic: Pops for 17 points in victory
Marjanovic ended with 17 points (8-10 FG, 1-4 FT), five rebounds and one block in 15 minutes during Wednesday's 109-108 victory over the Spurs. This was a Boban special where he came out of nowhere to drop a season-high in scoring against a depleted Spurs frontcourt. He is one of the best per-minutes players in the league but simply cannot stay on the court long enough to have any lasting value. Congratulations if you managed to stream him, but be prepared for his shift back to spectating for the next game.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Boban Marjanovic: Out Thursday
Marjanovic (back) is out Thursday versus San Antonio. Marjanovic's status was probable hours ago but regressed. Willie Cauley-Stein and Maxi Kleber will receive almost all the backup playing time to starting center Dwight Powell.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Boban Marjanovic: Improves to probable
Marjanovic (back) is probable Thursday versus San Antonio. Despite being questionable earlier, Marjanovic is probable less than two hours before the Mavericks game Thursday. The center could play about 10 minutes (like he did Tuesday versus Houston) if available.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Boban Marjanovic: Questionable vs. San Antonio
Marjanovic is questionable for Thursday's game against the Spurs due to lower back tightness. Marjanovic has only appeared in one game this season, playing nine minutes. With Kristaps Porzingis (back) already ruled out, however, Marjanovic could certainly see the court again if he's deemed healthy.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Boban Marjanovic: To re-up with Dallas
Marjanovic agreed to re-sign with the Mavericks on Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Marjanovic has spent the past two seasons with the Mavericks, playing a depth role at center. In his 77 appearances (eight starts) with Dallas, he's averaged 5.8 points and 4.2 rebounds. His role shouldn't change in 2021-22. After playing a third season in Dallas, the Mavericks will possess Marjanovic's full Bird rights next summer.... See More ... See Less
