Zeller (nose) isn't listed on the Heat's injury report for Tuesday's game against the Raptors. Zeller has missed six straight games since breaking his nose, but it appears the veteran center will return to action Tuesday. Across his first 10 appearances for Miami, Zeller posted 4.7 points and 3.5 rebounds in 13.0 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less

Heat's Cody Zeller: Still out Saturday
Zeller (nose) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Nets, Adam Lichtenstein of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Zeller continues to deal with a broken nose and will miss a sixth consecutive game, but coach Erik Spoelstra recently said that he expects the big man to return "sooner than later." Zeller's next opportunity to suit up will be Tuesday in Toronto.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Cody Zeller: Remains out
Zeller (nose) is out for Wednesday's game against the Knicks, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Zeller is slated to miss a fifth straight game due to a broken nose. He underwent surgery last week to correct the issue, and head coach Erik Spoelstra said the center should be back "sooner than later," but the Heat haven't released any firm timetable for Zeller's return. His next chance to suit up will come Saturday versus Brooklyn.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Cody Zeller: Out again Sunday
Zeller (nose) is out for Sunday's game against the Pistons, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Zeller recently underwent a procedure on his broken nose and will miss a fourth straight game. However, head coach Erik Spoelstra said the center should be back "sooner than later," so Zeller shouldn't remain out much longer. His next chance to suit up will come Wednesday against New York.... Heat's Cody Zeller: Won't play Saturday
Zeller (nose) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Chicago. Zeller underwent a procedure on his broken nose Friday, but coach Erik Spoelstra said the center should be back "sooner than later." The 30-year-old will be forced to miss at least one game, while it's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Sunday's matchup against Detroit.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Cody Zeller: Undergoes procedure Friday
Zeller underwent a procedure on his broken nose Friday, and head coach Erik Spoelstra said the results were positive and the big man should be back "sooner than later," Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. Zeller has already missed back-to-back games due to the broken nose, and his status for Miami's upcoming back-to-back this weekend remains unclear, though he can presumably be considered doubtful for those matchups after undergoing surgery Friday. After that, the Heat don't play again until a home contest Wednesday versus New York, which may be a reasonable return date for the veteran center. Before suffering the injury, Zeller averaged 5.0 points and 3.7 rebounds in 14.0 minutes across his first nine appearances with his new squad.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Cody Zeller: Expected to return soon
Coach Erik Spoelstra said Wednesday that he hopes Zeller (nose) will be able to return in "a couple of days," Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. Zeller will miss his second straight game Wednesday after breaking his nose against Orlando. He is expected to play in the same face mask he used last season as a Trail Blazer. Zeller's next chance to suit up is Saturday's matchup with the Bulls.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Cody Zeller: Won't play Wednesday
Zeller (nose) has been ruled out for Wednesday's contest against the Grizzlies, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. Zeller will miss a second straight game after breaking his nose during Saturday's loss to Orlando. In his absence, Omer Yurtseven should operate as the backup center behind Bam Adebayo.... Heat's Cody Zeller: Out Monday
Zeller (broken nose) won't play Monday against the Jazz. Zeller broke his nose Saturday, so he'll need to allow the swelling to go down and be fitted with a mask before he can return. With him out, perhaps Omer Yurtseven will be able to earn some limited minutes behind Bam Adebayo.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Cody Zeller: Exits with facial cut
Zeller suffered a laceration under his right eye and won't return to Saturday's game against the Magic, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Zeller is receiving stitches under his right eye and will undergo a scan as the Heat look to determine the extent of his injury. If Zeller misses time beyond Saturday, Omer Yurtseven could step in as the backup center to Bam Adebayo. Zeller finished Saturday's game with two points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two rebounds in four minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Cody Zeller: Solid outing off bench
Zeller closed Saturday's 117-109 win over the Hawks with 13 points (4-4 FG, 5-6 FT) and two rebounds across 12 minutes. Zeller continues to garner a marginal role behind Bam Adebayo since joining the Heat, but he made a strong offensive impact in limited playing time Saturday. Across six appearances with Miami, the veteran backup is averaging 6.7 points and 2.5 rebounds in 14.0 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Cody Zeller: Expected to sign with Miami
Zeller plans to sign with Miami on Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Zeller is coming off the worst statistical campaign of his career, mostly due to a knee injury, and despite being healthy, he's yet to find a team this season. The veteran center was a productive frontcourt player in eight seasons with the Hornets before being relegated to a deep bench role with Portland last year. The Heat are also bringing in Kevin Love, so expect some corresponding moves to open up two roster spots before either free-agent signing is finalized.... See More ... See Less -
Cody Zeller: Works out for Lakers
Zeller worked out for the Lakers last week, NBA writer Marc Stein reports. The Lakers are looking to shore up depth at center, with Zeller working out for the team last week and DeMarcus Cousins auditioning next week. Zeller has struggled with injury issues throughout his career, and his 2021-22 campaign with Portland was cut short after 27 appearances due to knee surgery. He saw 13.1 minutes per game and averaged 5.2 points and 4.6 rebounds. Even if Zeller signs with the Lakers, it's unlikely he'll be relevant in fantasy.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Cody Zeller: Let go by Utah
The Jazz waived Zeller on Saturday, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports. Zeller being waived is a good indication that the Jazz feel confident in the development of rookie Walker Kessler. Zeller averaged 5.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 13.1 minutes over 27 games for the Trail Blazers last season. The Jazz still need to shed one more player to bring their roster down to 15 players.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Cody Zeller: Inks deal with Jazz
Zeller agreed to a deal with the Jazz on Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Zeller fills a hole for the Jazz at center after Utah traded away Rudy Gobert. While rookie Walker Kessler is expected to start during the team's rebuild, the veteran big man should be in line to be the backup center and receive plenty of minutes. He averaged 5.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 13.1 minutes across 27 games in 2021 for Portland.... See More ... See Less -
Cody Zeller: Let go by Portland
The Trail Blazers waived Zeller (knee) on Tuesday. With Portland bringing in four new players and sending out three in the deal the team completed with the Pelicans earlier Thursday, Zeller was cut loose to get roster down to the standard 15 players. The veteran center recently underwent surgery to address a patellar fracture, and he was expected to be sidelined until at least April. Trendon Watford is expected to continue serving as the primary backup to starting center Jusuf Nurkic.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Cody Zeller: Waived by Blazers
Zeller (knee) was waived by the Trail Blazers on Tuesday, Jay Allen of NBC Sports Northwest Rip City Radio 620 reports. After undergoing knee surgery and being given an 8-to-10-week timetable, Zeller was ultimately waived by the Trail Blazers. He's a free agent this summer, though it remains to be seen how many teams will be interested given his extensive injury history.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Cody Zeller: Out 8-to-10 weeks after surgery
Zeller (knee) underwent surgery Tuesday to address a patellar injury and is expected to miss 8-to-10 weeks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. The oft-injured center will miss a considerable chunk of time due to a right knee injury that he was previously trying to manage without going under the knife. He's appeared in just 27 games this season and last appeared in more than 60 games in 2016-17. At best, Zeller will return in time to play a handful of games before the regular season ends, but it's not clear if that would even make sense if the Trail Blazers are out of playoff contention. If we've seen the last of Zeller this season, he'll end his first campaign in Portland with averages of 5.2 points and 4.6 rebounds in 13.1 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Cody Zeller: Remains sidelined Tuesday
Zeller (knee) is out Tuesday against Minnesota, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports. Zeller will miss a seventh straight game due to a sore right knee. Whether he'll be available for Wednesday's game against Dallas remains to be seen.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Cody Zeller: Won't play against Toronto
Zeller (knee) is out Sunday against the Raptors, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports. Zeller will be unavailable for a sixth consecutive game due to right knee soreness. His next chance to suit up will be Tuesday against Minnesota.... See More ... See Less
