Top Buddy Hield News

  • Warriors' Buddy Hield: Drains four triples in Game 3

Hield provided 14 points (5-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt), four rebounds, five assists and two blocks in 32 minutes during Saturday's 102-97 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Hield was sharp from beyond the arc, but his scoring contributions weren't enough to prevent the loss as Minnesota recovered its home-court advantage for the time being. Hield should continue to play at a high level for the Warriors and most of his fantasy upside should come from his scoring and three-point shooting. He's scored in double digits while making at least four threes in each of his last four appearances.

  • Warriors' Buddy Hield: Scores 15 points in Game 2 loss

Hield recorded 15 points (5-14 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 29 minutes during Thursday's 117-93 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Hield didn't have his best performance Thursday, but he still ended up being one of the best players for Golden State in a game where the entire offense struggled. He should remain one of the team's go-to options on offense, especially as an outside threat, while Stephen Curry (hamstring) remains out.

  • Warriors' Buddy Hield: Steps up late in Game 1 win

Hield accumulated 24 points (7-19 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one steal over 40 minutes during Tuesday's 99-88 win over Minnesota in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Hield finished just two rebounds shy of a double-double, but perhaps more important than that was that he drained a couple of key three-pointers late when the Warriors needed him the most. Hield could embrace a bigger role on offense in case Stephen Curry (hamstring) is unable to play in Game 2 on Thursday. The veteran sharpshooter endured a slow start to the postseason but has scored in double digits in four of his last six appearances.

  • Warriors' Buddy Hield: Erupts for 33 points

Hield notched 33 points (12-15 FG, 9-11 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal over 37 minutes during Sunday's 103-89 victory over the Rockets in Game 7 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Hield was incredibly efficient Sunday, missing only three of his 15 field-goal attempts while drilling nine three-pointers. This ties an NBA record in a Game 7, set by Donte DiVincenzo last postseason with the Knicks. Hield's 33 points crushed his previous playoff-best total (20) set in 2024 while playing for the 76ers.

  • Warriors' Buddy Hield: Hits for 15 in Monday's start

Hield accumulated 15 points (6-15 FG, 3-9 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists and two steals in 30 minutes during Monday's 109-106 win over the Rockets in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Making his first start since Feb. 12, Hield played at least 30 minutes for the first time since March 3 and supplied solid secondary scoring. The veteran wing dropped five threes and 17 points off the bench in a Game 3 win, and he appears to have moved ahead of the struggling Moses Moody in the Warriors' rotation heading into Game 5 on Wednesday.

  • Warriors' Buddy Hield: Starting Monday

Hield will start in Monday's Game 4 against the Rockets, John Dickinson of 95.7 The Game San Francisco reports.

The sharpshooter will replace Quinten Post in the starting five Monday. Hield is coming off an efficient 17-point performance in Saturday's Game 3 victory, and in three appearances during the first round, he has averaged 8.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.0 three-pointers, 1.3 steals and 1.0 assists across 20.0 minutes per contest.

  • Warriors' Buddy Hield: Chips in 17 points off bench

Hield chipped in 17 points (6-13 FG, 5-11 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and three steals over 29 minutes during Saturday's 104-93 victory over the Rockets in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Hield logged single-digit points in each of his last four games, but he stepped into a larger offensive role in Game 3 due to Jimmy Butler (pelvis) being ruled out. Hield did most of his damage from three-point range and finished as the Warriors' second-leading scorer behind Stephen Curry (36). Golden State will need Hield's efficiency to make a deep playoff run, and the 2016 first-round pick would continue to have a big role off the bench if Butler cannot play in Game 4 on Monday.

  • Warriors' Buddy Hield: Posts 16 points from bench

Hield racked up 16 points (6-14 FG, 4-10 3Pt), four rebounds and one block over 23 minutes during Friday's 103-86 win over the Trail Blazers.

Hield connected on 40 percent of his shots beyond the arc in the victory. When Hield's sharpshooting skills are dialed in, he's capable of massive totals, but his success is entirely dependent on his usage. His minutes occasionally dip below 20, which usually isn't enough time to get into a groove. The first unit will play max minutes in the playoffs, thus likely diluting Hield's results.

  • Warriors' Buddy Hield: Team-high 20 points in loss

Hield dropped 20 points (7-14 FG, 6-11 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and a steal in 25 minutes off the bench during Sunday's 106-96 loss to the Rockets.

With Stephen Curry managing just three points all night, Hield was tasked with picking up the slack to keep the Warriors in this game. The veteran sharpshooter put together a valiant effort, with his six triples qualifying as his second-highest mark of the season. Unfortunately for his fantasy managers, Hield failed to contribute much in other areas of the stat sheet. Although he's shooting a solid 38.2 percent from beyond the arc since the All-Star break, he's averaging just 9.9 points per game in that same span, making him an unreliable fantasy option.

  • Warriors' Buddy Hield: Scores 19 in blowout win

Hield ended Sunday's 148-106 win over the Spurs with 19 points (8-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt), five rebounds, four assists and three steals in 25 minutes.

Hield was one of several Warriors who stood out in this huge win over the Spurs, and he was particularly efficient with his shooting across the board. Hield has scored in double digits in four of his last six outings coming off the bench, but his upside will be limited as long as he remains in a second-unit role. He might be worth targeting as a streaming flier in some formats, but it's risky to start him on a regular basis.

  • Warriors' Buddy Hield: More opportunities coming

Hield racked up eight points (1-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal across 19 minutes during Thursday's 117-114 victory over Toronto.

With Stephen Curry dealing with a pelvis injury that will force him to miss the beginning of Golden State's road trip, Hield could have more opportunities coming his way. He's been trending up in recent weeks, averaging 10.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.4 three-pointers in 20.3 minutes per contest.

  • Warriors' Buddy Hield: Goes missing in win

Hield racked up three points (1-7 FG, 1-7 3Pt), two rebounds and one steal in 15 minutes during Saturday's 97-94 victory over New York.

Hield was a non-factor in the win, an all too familiar trend this season. After a solid start to his career in Golden State, Hield has been unable to deliver consistent production. In fact, he has now scored double-digit points only six times in the past 14 games. Through 67 games played, he is averaging 11.4 points per game, his lowest mark since his rookie season back in 2016-17.

  • Warriors' Buddy Hield: Puts up big line in win

Hield finished with 20 points (7-10 FG, 6-9 3Pt), two rebounds, seven assists, one block and two steals in 25 minutes during Monday's 130-120 victory over the Trail Blazers.

This was the 10th game of the season with at least 20 points from Hield. However, his production has been all over the place, making him a volatile fantasy option. Over his last 10 games, Hield has averaged 11.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.9 steals and 2.2 three-pointers.
