  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Suffers torn ACL

Irving (knee) suffered a torn ACL during Monday's loss to the Kings, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. This is a devastating injury for the 32-year-old guard, who was attempting to will the Mavericks to the postseason following the trade of Luka Doncic and subsequent injury to Anthony Davis (thigh). For the remainder of this season, guards like Spencer Dinwiddie, Max Christie, Dante Exum and Jaden Hardy (ankle) will presumably take on more usage. However, this is an injury that will extend into next season and will most likely keep Irving out until around the 2026 New Year.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Won't return Monday

Irving won't return to Monday's matchup against the Kings due to a sprained left knee, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports. Irving was unable to walk off the court under his own power after sustaining the left knee injury on a drive to the basket. He finished the game with seven points (2-4 FG, 3-3 FT), one rebound and one assist before exiting to the locker room in the first quarter. The superstar will likely undergo further testing before Wednesday's game against the Bucks, and with Irving sidelined for the remainder of Monday's game at the very least, Jaden Hardy and Spencer Dinwiddie are candidates to see a bump in minutes.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Helped back to locker room Monday

Irving exited to the locker room after sustaining an apparent left knee injury during the first quarter of Monday's game against the Kings, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports. Irving appeared to injure his left knee while driving to the basket, and he stayed down for an extended period with teammates and medical staff surrounding him. The superstar was unable to walk off the court under his own power, though he stayed in the game to shoot two from the charity stripe before the medical staff came back out and helped him to the locker room. Jaden Hardy and Spencer Dinwiddie are candidates for an uptick in playing time if Irving is unable to return.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Hits for game-high 31 in loss

Irving ended with 31 points (9-23 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 11-11 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal across 38 minutes during Saturday's 132-117 loss to Milwaukee. The veteran guard led all scorers on the night as he delivered at least 30 points for the fifth time in seven appearances since Anthony Davis (thigh) was shut down. Over that stretch, Irving has averaged 30.7 points, 6.3 boards, 3.9 assists, 3.4 threes, 1.6 steals and 1.0 blocks while operating mainly as a solo act in the Dallas offense.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Stuffs stat sheet in win

Irving recorded 25 points (11-24 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals across 38 minutes during Thursday's 103-96 win over the Hornets. Irving's 25 points led the team and stuffed the stat sheet Thursday. Over his last nine games, the superstar guard has averaged a stellar 27.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.9 steals, 1.1 blocks and 3.0 three-pointers in 39.4 minutes. As long as the 32-year-old can handle such heavy workloads, Irving should continue experiencing a boost in usage and fantasy value as the focal point of Dallas' offense until Anthony Davis (adductor) comes off the shelf.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Logs 35 points in losing effort

Irving posted 35 points (12-27 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 6-6 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, two blocks and three steals over 40 minutes during Tuesday's 107-99 loss to the Lakers. Irving rose to the occasion in Los Angeles as he faced his former teammate, but it wasn't enough to seal a win for the short-handed Mavericks. Irving was once on LeBron James' wish list, but Doncic's arrival and Austin Reaves' standout play makes an eventual reunion for the duo unlikely in the offseason. In the meantime, Irving's output will be essential as the team struggles to stay relevant in the playoff race.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Scores 35 points in win

Irving (shoulder) finished with 35 points (11-22 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 8-8 FT), four assists, two rebounds and one block over 37 minutes in Friday's 111-103 win over the Pelicans. Irving sat out the Mavericks' final game before the All-Star break Feb. 13 against the Heat due to a sore right shoulder, but the missed contest didn't disrupt his excellent run of play, as he turned in his third straight game with at least 30 points while connecting on half of his shot attempts and going percent from the charity stripe. He has scored at least 30 points in each of his last three games, and over that span he has shot 51.4 percent from the field and 48.3 percent from beyond the arc. Irving's efforts have helped the Mavericks win five of their last six games.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Makes impact in All-Star Game

Irving (shoulder) logged seven points (3-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and two steals in eight minutes of action during Sunday's 41-25 All-Star Game final win over Chuck's Global Stars. Irving made his presence felt in limited action in both games of the All-Star mini-tournament, totaling 11 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals in just 15 minutes across the two contests. Irving has been dealing with a shoulder issue of late, but it seems as if he should be available when the Mavericks return to play Friday against the Pelicans.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Ruled out Thursday

Irving (shoulder) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Heat, Christian Clark of The Athletic reports. After dropping 42 points in Wednesday's win against the Warriors, Irving won't play in the second game of a back-to-back Thursday against the Heat. Klay Thompson (foot) has also been ruled out for this game against Miami. However, Dante Exum (Achilles) has been cleared to play and could have an increased workload with Spencer Dinwiddie, Jaden Hardy and Max Christie.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Nabs questionable tag

Irving is listed as questionable for Thursday's game versus the Heat due to right shoulder soreness. Irving is coming off a 42-point performance but could sit out the second leg of Dallas' back-to-back Thursday due to a shoulder issue. With Klay Thompson (foot) and Dante Exum (Achilles) also questionable, Spencer Dinwiddie, Jaden Hardy and Max Christie could all receive increased playing time.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Pours in 42 in Wednesday's win

Irving had 42 points (15-25 FG, 7-10 3Pt, 5-5 FT), seven rebounds and one steal across 40 minutes during Wednesday's 111-107 win over the Warriors. It was the veteran guard's best scoring effort since he rained down 46 points on the Trail Blazers in his final outing of 2024. The seven made three-pointers were also a new season high for Irving, who has delivered at least 25 points in five of his last seven appearances while averaging 27.3 points, 6.4 boards, 4.3 assists, 2.9 threes and 1.9 steals. He attempted more than 20 field goals in all five of those performances, and Irving's shot volume should remain sky high with Luka Doncic now a Laker.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Leads all scorers with 34 points

Irving (shoulder) closed with 34 points (11-21 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 10-11 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal over 42 minutes during Tuesday's 118-116 loss to Philadelphia. Irving went toe-to-toe with fellow superstar guard Tyrese Maxey on Tuesday, but the former's game-high 34 points were not enough for the Mavericks in his return from a one-game respite with shoulder soreness. It was Irving's ninth game of the season with at least 30 points, and he's averaging 26.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.7 threes across his last nine appearances. Until Anthony Davis (abdomen) is ready to make his team debut, the Dallas offense should continue to run through Irving.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Off injury report for Tuesday

Irving (shoulder) is off the injury report for Tuesday's game against Philadelphia. Irving missed Sunday's loss to Cleveland due to right shoulder soreness, though he'll return to game action Tuesday. The superstar has averaged 22.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 0.8 steals in 37.0 minutes per contest over his last five outings.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Questionable for Sunday

Irving (shoulder) has been listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cavaliers. After a strong outing in Friday's loss against the Pistons, finishing with a team-high 28 points, Irving could be watching from the sideline during Sunday's game in Cleveland. If the one-time NBA champion is ruled out against the Cavaliers, the Mavericks could turn to Spencer Dinwiddie to shift over to point guard. Jaden Hardy, Quentin Grimes and Dante Exum could also see a bump in minutes.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Scores 13 points

Irving chipped in 13 points (4-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds and five assists across 28 minutes during Monday's 130-108 victory over Washington. The Mavericks took care of business early, allowing Irving to rest up down the stretch. Given his struggles with a back injury, that could increase the likelihood of him playing against the Pelicans on Wednesday. The Mavericks tend to be cautious during back-to-back sets with their key players.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Game-high 36 points in loss

Irving dropped 36 points (12-21 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 8-8 FT), nine assists and four rebounds in 38 minutes during Wednesday's 115-114 loss to the Timberwolves. The star guard put together his best performance since returning from a back injury last week, with his nine assists matching his season high. He also paired volume with efficiency en route to his fourth-highest point total of the season. So long as Luka Doncic (calf) remains out, the scoring load will largely fall to Irving, who's more than capable of heating up in the lead role. He'll look to keep rolling Thursday against the Thunder.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Leads on both ends in defeat

Irving finished Monday's 110-105 loss to the Hornets with 33 points (11-24 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 8-9 FT), four rebounds, three assists and three steals across 41 minutes. Irving paced Dallas on both ends of the court in Monday's afternoon battle, leading all Mavericks in scoring, threes made and steals over a team-leading minute total. Irving has crossed the 30-point mark in seven contests this season, adding three or more steals in two of those outings. Over his last two appearances, Irving has posted at least 25 points with three threes made in both contests.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Scores 25 points in return

Irving ended Friday's 106-98 win over the Thunder with 25 points (9-19 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one steal in 39 minutes. Irving missed the 119-116 loss to the Pelicans on Wednesday but returned with a solid performance in this Friday matchup, carrying the Mavs to a win over the Thunder. The veteran floor general has been dealing with a back injury that has limited him to just three outings since the beginning of January, so his lack of availability is the biggest issue for fantasy managers who continue to trust in what Irving can bring to the table.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Good to go against OKC

Irving (back) is available for Friday's game versus the Thunder and won't have any restrictions, Eddie Sefko of the Mavericks' official site reports. Irving has been upgraded from questionable to available Friday despite a lingering back injury. Irving averages 23.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.4 steals in 36.4 minutes across his last 10 appearances.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Questionable for Friday

Irving (back) has been listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Thunder. Irving has missed six of the Mavericks' last seven games due to a back issue. Dallas has only won two games during his absence, as the team has found it challenging to compete without the veteran guard and Luka Doncic (calf). Spencer Dinwiddie could get another start if Irving can't return to the floor Friday.
