Los Angeles Lakers All-Star guard had an in-game trick shot for the ages against the Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center on Wednesday, corralling an alley-oop pass and flipping in a lay-up over his own head while falling to the ground.

The play started midway through the third quarter, with Bryant being defended by Mavericks guard Jason Kidd on the right block. Bryant set up a backdoor cut and received a pass over the top to the rim from Lakers big man Pau Gasol. Bryant caught the ball on the left side of the hoop as Kidd fouled him from behind, flipping the ball backwards over his own head as he crashed to the floor. The shot banked cleanly in and Bryant was given the and-one.

The bucket gave the Lakers a 68-55 lead with just less than seven minutes remaining in the third quarter. L.A. went on to win 109-93. Bryant finished with a game-high 30 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal on 11-for-18 shooting in 34 minutes.
