Amir Albazi says he knows he's not a household name among MMA observers, but the flyweight prospect plans to change that on Saturday in the UFC Fight Night: Kara-France vs. Albazi main event against recent title-challenger Kai Kara-France. The five-round battle of ranked contenders will headline the main UFC fight card at 9 p.m. ET from the promotion's Apex facility in Las Vegas. The No. 7-ranked Albazi has won all four of his UFC appearances in dominant fashion. He can climb into the top five of the UFC rankings and possibly position himself for a title shot with a signature win.

The fight is listed as a pick'em, with both fighters offered at -110 (risk $110 to win $100) in the UFC Fight Night: Kara-France vs. Albazi odds from Caesars Sportsbook. In the co-main event, explosive featherweight prospects take the spotlight as Alex Caceres (-175) takes on Daniel Pineda (+150). UFC Fight Night: Kara-France vs. Albazi preview

Although Moreno has shown to have star power, the flyweight division needs other viable contenders, and Kara-France has shown that he might help fill the void. The 30-year-old New Zealander immediately caught the attention of MMA fans with his fearless style and charismatic demeanor.

A three-fight winning streak, which included a knockout of former champion Cody Garbrandt, earned Kara-France (24-10-1) a title shot last year and he proved he was worthy of the assignment. He took the fight to Moreno from the opening bell and appeared to be getting the best of it before the champion rallied back. Moreno scored a third-round stoppage and the bout was awarded Fight of the Night at UFC 277 last July.

The defeat did little to diminish Kara-France's reputation as a legitimate contender, but he needs a win Saturday to support his case for a potential rematch with Moreno.

Albazi (16-1) competed in Bellator and Brave CF before joining the UFC in July 2020. The Iraq-born fighter quickly moved into the top 15 in the UFC rankings behind a run that has seen him stop three of his first four opponents. A victory over Kara-France would likely move Albazi into the top-five rankings and cement his status as a title-contender. You can only see who to pick at UFC Fight Night here

Top UFC Fight Night predictions

We'll reveal one of Vithlani's UFC Fight Night predictions here: He is siding with Andrei Arlovski (+105) to get past Don'Tale Mayes (-120) in a heavyweight battle.

The iconic Arlovski (34-21-2) is a former UFC heavyweight champion who won the belt in February 2005 and successfully defended it twice. Now 44, the Russian fighter is still going strong and hasn't hinted toward any plans of retirement. He has remained active and viable, winning six of his last eight appearances.

Mayes (9-5-1) is a power puncher and a once-heralded prospect who has struggled against top competition after earning a roster spot on "Dana White's Contender Series." The 31-year-old is 2-3-1 in six UFC appearances and coming off a decision loss to fellow prospect Augusto Sakai in February.

"I see several advantages for Arlovski. He puts out more volume than Mayes, using his jab and leg kicks, and his footwork is still among the best in the heavyweight division," Vithlani told SportsLine. See who else to back here.
