  • Giants' Landen Roupp: Heading back to Triple-A

The Giants optioned Roupp to Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday. He'll give up his spot on the 26-man active roster for right-hander Daulton Jefferies, who was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move and is expected to serve as the primary pitcher out of the bullpen in Wednesday's game against the Red Sox. Following his call-up from Sacramento last Wednesday, Roupp made two relief appearances for the Giants and gave up three earned runs over 3.1 innings.

  • Giants' Landen Roupp: Rejoins big club

The Giants recalled Roupp from Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday. Roupp was optioned to Triple-A on Tuesday, but he'll be back with the Giants one day later after Blake Snell (adductor) was placed on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. Snell had been slated to start Wednesday's game against the Mets, and though Ryan Walker is now set to serve as the Giants' opening pitcher, Roupp is likely to be part of the Giants' pitching plan either as a multi-inning reliever. Each of his eight appearances with the Giants this season have come out of the bullpen, with Roupp posting a 4.35 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 7:4 K:BB across 10.1 innings.

  • Giants' Landen Roupp: Optioned to Triple-A

The Giants optioned Roupp to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports. Roupp will be pushed off the big-league roster following the acquisition of Mitch White from Toronto. Roupp allowed five earned runs across 10.1 innings during his first career stint in the majors and could return later in the year to give San Francisco's bullpen a fresh arm if needed.
