Quero was invited Friday to the major-league side of Brewers camp this spring, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Quero won't come close to cracking the Opening Day roster in Milwaukee -- he's yet to appear in a game above High-A ball -- but a stint in MLB camp might prove valuable in the long term. The 20-year-old catcher has flashed impressive power and speed so far in the lower minors, and his defensive work behind the plate drew high praise in the 2022 Arizona Fall League.

Brewers' Jeferson Quero: Shakes off shoulder injury

Quero (shoulder) has gone 2-for-15 with a solo home run and a walk in four games since returning to the High-A Wisconsin lineup.
Quero was sidelined for just over a week with right shoulder soreness but never required a trip to the 7-day injured list. He's been able to make two of his four starts at catcher since returning to action, so the shoulder doesn't appear to be affecting him when he throws.

Quero was promoted to High-A Wisconsin on Monday.
Quero earned a trip to the next level by posting a respectable .746 OPS over 75 games with Single-A Carolina and punctuating that run with a sizzling 16-for-36 (.444) stretch. Quero will not turn 20 until October yet is already considered the best catching prospect in the Brewers system.

Quero (shoulder) has appeared in three games for Low-A Carolina, going 5-for-12 with a double, triple, walk, four runs and four RBI.
Quero has picked up one start as a designated hitter and two at catcher, with his usage behind the dish indicating that he's made a full recovery from the surgery he required last fall to address a separated left shoulder. The Brewers' top catching prospect is in the midst of his first year of full-season ball after he played exclusively in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League in 2021.
