  • Brewers' Jackson Chourio: On base four times

Chourio went 2-for-3 with two walks, a home run, two RBI, three runs and a stolen base in Saturday's 12-5 win over the Cardinals.

The rookie outfielder entered the contest with five strikeouts and no hits over his previous 11 plate appearances, but he busted out of that mini slump in a big way Saturday. Chourio has endured some ups and downs through his first 17 big-league games, but he's been productive overall with four homers, four steals, 13 RBI, 10 runs and a .719 OPS.

  • Brewers' Jackson Chourio: Goes deep, swipes bag

Chourio went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, two runs scored, a stolen base and a walk in Monday's loss to San Diego.

Chourio belted a two-run shot in the second inning. It was his third long ball of the year and first since April 6. The highly-touted rookie knocked 22 homers with 44 steals in the minors last year and he displayed that impressive power-speed combo Monday. Chourio is now slashing .259/.305/.444 through 59 plate appearances.

  • Brewers' Jackson Chourio: Getting Sunday off

Chourio is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

He'll exit the starting nine for the second time in 14 games this season while Milwaukee rolls out an outfield of Joey Wiemer, Blake Perkins and Sal Frelick from left to right. Chourio went 1-for-11 with three strikeouts while starting in the first two games of the series in Baltimore.

  • Brewers' Jackson Chourio: Productive in win

Chourio went 1-for-3 with two RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over the Reds while also drawing a walk.

Chourio drew a walk on five pitches to open the game and proceeded to steal second base before coming home on a Christian Yelich home run two batters later. The right-fielder would then go on to score a second time while also driving in two runs, the first on a single and the second on a sacrifice fly. Chourio has now hit safely in four consecutive games and in 10 of 11 contests overall to open the season. Additionally, he's also recorded at least one RBI in all but three games.

  • Brewers' Jackson Chourio: Receives first day off

Chourio is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game in Cincinnati.

It's the first day off this season for the 20-year-old wunderkind. With Chourio getting a breather, Sal Frelick will occupy right field and Blake Perkins will cover center.

  • Brewers' Jackson Chourio: Pops first big-league homer

Chourio went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-3 loss to the Twins.

Hitting leadoff against Chris Paddack, Chourio struck out in both his at-bats against the right-hander but then greeted Daniel Duarte with a blast to center field three pitches into the fifth inning. The rookie outfielder is 7-for-20 to begin his career with a homer, a steal and four RBI in five games, but a 1:6 BB:K offers at least a small yellow flag that leaner times could be ahead as pitchers build a book on Chourio.

  • Brewers' Jackson Chourio: Moves up to leadoff versus righty

Chourio will bat leadoff and start in right field in Wednesday's game against the Twins.

Chourio hit leadoff on Opening Day versus a lefty but then batted ninth for the next three games against right-handers. However, he's now been vaulted to the top of the batting order Wednesday versus righty Chris Paddack, with Sal Frelick moving down to the No. 6 spot. Chourio has earned the prime spot by going 6-for-16 with three RBI, a stolen base and a 1:4 BB:K over his first four contests. Frelick, meanwhile, is off to a 1-for-13 start.

  • Brewers' Jackson Chourio: Continues piling up hits

Chourio went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Sunday's victory over the Mets.

The 20-year-old has started all three games the Brewers have played to date, and he has hardly been overmatched, as he reached base twice in all three contests. Chourio hit ninth against right-handed starters Saturday and Sunday after hitting leadoff against a lefty in the opener, and that arrangement will likely continue for the time being. However, he could certainly find himself hitting higher against righties if he continues displaying the skills that made him one of the top prospects in baseball.

  • Brewers' Jackson Chourio: Secures first MLB hit

Chourio went 1-for-3 with an RBI, a walk and a stolen base during Friday's 3-1 win over the Mets.

The Brewers trusted their top prospect to lead off in his MLB debut, and he was able to check off plenty of career firsts during Friday's victory. Chourio drew a four-pitch walk during his first big-league plate appearance, which was immediately followed by his first stolen base. He later tallied his first career hit on a single in the top of the fifth inning, and a fielder's choice allowed him to secure his first RBI in the seventh. The 20-year-old outfielder still needs to prove he can succeed consistently against MLB pitchers, but Friday's performance was certainly promising.

  • Brewers' Jackson Chourio: Batting leadoff in debut

Chourio is starting in right field and batting leadoff for Friday's opener against the Mets.

He will surely bat lower in the order against right-handers, but with lefty Jose Quintana on the bump for the Mets, Chourio gets the call at the top of the lineup in his major-league debut. The 20-year-old will also play some center field for the Brewers but will be in right field for this one.
