Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Scratched from lineup Friday
Freeman (personal) has been scratched from the Dodgers' lineup for Friday's game against the Astros, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
Freeman was originally slated to start at first base and bat third Friday, but he is flying back home to be with his family with his son in the hospital, per Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times. There is no timeline on when Freeman may return to the club. Cavan Biggio will slide to first base Friday while Gavin Lux enters the lineup at second base, per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports.

Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Homers in Sunday's win
Freeman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 9-6 win over the Red Sox.
Freeman crushed a first-pitch fastball from Kutter Crawford to right-center field to get the Dodgers on the board in the first inning. He now has three homers in his last six games and is up to 16 for the year. Freeman is one of three hitters in the majors with a strikeout rate below 15.0 percent and an ISO greater than .200. The 34-year-old is slashing .292/.305/.503 with 66 RBI, 61 runs and a 58:66 BB:K in 438 plate appearances this year.

Freeman went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Friday's 4-1 win over the Red Sox.
The Dodgers hadn't mustered much offense until the eighth inning. Coming up with the bases loaded, Freeman cashed in with a blast off Brennan Bernardino. This was Freeman's 15th homer of the year, and he's hit four of them while adding 19 RBI over his last 18 games. The first baseman is at a .291/.394/.497 slash line with 65 RBI, 58 runs scored, 25 doubles and five stolen bases across 98 contests this season.

Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Homers in win
Freeman went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-3 win over the Tigers.
Freeman hit a solo home run off Tarik Skubal in the fourth inning and added a single in the eighth. He went 0-for-10 in a tough series against the Phillies but rebounded with his fourth multi-hit effort in 10 July games. On the season, the eight-time All-Star is hitting .294 with 14 homers, 59 RBI, 56 runs scored and four steals across 415 plate appearances.

Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Swipes bag in Sunday's loss
Freeman went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's loss to the Brewers.
Freeman walked in the third and stole second base but was left there stranded with the bases loaded. It was just his fourth swipe of the year and his first since June 5. The 34-year-old has started off July well at the dish, tallying eight hits, six RBI and a 5:5 BB:K over his first six games of the month. It's a continuation of what he's been doing all season long, as he's slashing .301/.406/.506 with 13 homers, 58 RBI, 55 runs and a 54:61 BB:K in 399 plate appearances.

Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Three-run shot in loss
Freeman went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer and two walks in Wednesday's loss to the Diamondbacks.
Freeman put the Dodgers ahead with a three-run blast in the bottom of the first and proceeded to reach base four times in the contest in a losing effort. It was the first baseman's 13th long ball of the season and the fourth in his last 15 games. Over that latter stretch he's batting .327 (18-for-55) with 14 RBI and 10 runs scored. Freeman has also recorded multiple hits in back-to-back games and in three of his last four.
