Three Miami players were named ACC Players of the Week after the Hurricanes’ wild 44-37 win over NC State.

QB Stephen Morris set an ACC record with 566 passing yards to win Offensive Back of the Week. Morris matched a school record with five touchdown passes. Morris threw for 271 yards in the first quarter, the most by an FBS quarterback in a quarter since 2004, and he’s thrown for 1002 yards in the last two weeks.

Despite giving up 37 points to the Wolfpack, two Hurricanes defensive players were honored.

Gionni Paul was named Linebacker of the Week. He had a forced fumble and 11 tackles in his first career start. Coming into the game, Paul, a sophomore, had a total of 11 tackles in his career. He’s the second straight Miami linebacker to win the award.

Linebacker Eddie Johnson, who was named Linebacker of the Week last week, was honored as the ACC Rookie of the Week. Johnson had seven tackles, two forced fumbles and a pass breakup. It’s the third time in five weeks a Miami player has won the honor. Running back Duke Johnson won two rookie awards.

Florida State also had three players honored in the weekly awards.

Bryan Stork was named Offensive Lineman of the Week after the Seminoles' like cleared the way for 424 yards of total offense in a 30-17 win at South Florida. He graded out at 77 percent and didn’t allow a sack. Teammate Menelik Watson won the award last week.

For the second time in three weeks, Cornellius “Tank” Carradine won Defensive Lineman of the Week. Carradine had nine tackles, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble.

Kicker Dustin Hopkins moved into second place on the all-time ACC scoring list to earn Specialist of the Week. He followed teammate Lamarcus Joyner, who won the award as a kick returner last week.

Boston College WR Alex Amidon won Receiver of the Week with 193 yards and two touchdowns against Clemson.

Duke S Jordon Byas became the second Blue Devil in three weeks to earn Defensive Back of the Week honors. CB Ross Cockrell won two weeks ago. Byas had a career-high 11 tackles in Duke’s win at Wake Forest.
