Oklahoma and Memphis went back down the stretch in an incredible game in Norman. The Sooners fell behind by 3 with just under 15 seconds left in regulation. But it wasn't over.

Sooners veteran leader Jordan Woodard responded on the other end by flashing his icy veins to knock down this 3-pointer -- off the glass! -- to send it to overtime.

The question is: Up 3 points, why not foul?!

Memphis could have sent OU to the line with a foul. In a worst-case scenario, Memphis would have gotten the ball up by 1 point with around five seconds left. If you get that, all you need is a clean inbound and you can safely put the game away with free throws. Or at least make them chuck in a half-court shot.

Instead, they played it out and paid the price out by going to overtime.

Sure, Memphis went on to win the game 99-94, but that's not the point. It continues to be the wrong move to give teams a shot to tie the game in these situations.

Always foul up 3 points. Always.
