The Bryant Bulldogs are out to extend their home-court dominance when they take on the Brown Bears in a non-conference matchup in Smithfield, R.I., on Friday. The Bulldogs (6-1), who finished 22-10 a year ago and advanced to the NCAA Tournament, are 26-2 at home since the start of the 2020-21 season. The Bears (3-4), who finished tied for sixth in the Ivy League at 5-9 and were 13-16 overall last season, are 7-9 on the road since the start of last year. Brown has won 17 of the 20 previous meetings, although Bryant registered a 65-59 win in 2021-22.

The game from Chace Athletic Center is set for 6 p.m. ET. Bryant is averaging 95.7 points per game, while Brown averages 65.4. Why Bryant can cover

Junior guard Earl Timberlake has been a big spark to the Bulldogs' offense. He has reached double figures in all seven games and has registered two double-doubles. Timberlake scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in an 89-70 win at Dartmouth on Nov. 11, and had 15 points and 13 rebounds in a 91-85 win at Florida International. He is coming off a 17-point, eight-rebound effort in a 98-44 win over Framingham State on Monday. For the season, he is averaging 15.3 points, eight rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

Senior forward Antwan Walker has been red hot of late, registering two double-doubles in the past three games. In a 73-72 win at Syracuse on Saturday, he scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. He had 13 points and 10 rebounds in a 98-88 victory over Detroit Mercy on Nov. 21. Walker averages 13.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.6 blocks, 1.1 assists and one steal per game.

Why Brown can cover

The Bears have three players averaging in double figures, led by sophomore guard Kino Lilly Jr. He has reached double digits in all seven games, including a 32-point performance in a 70-63 win over Maine on Sunday. He is coming off a 16-point game in Tuesday's win over Central Connecticut State. For the season, he is averaging 17 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

Also powering Brown is senior guard Paxson Wojcik, who has reached double figures in each of the last three games, and in six of seven. He scored a season-high 17 points in a 73-62 loss to UMass Lowell on Nov. 23. Wojcik has a pair of double-doubles, scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in a season-opening 80-65 loss to Vermont on Nov. 7, and scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 boards in a 75-70 loss to Loyola-Maryland on Nov. 13. For the season, he is averaging 11.9 points, seven rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
