WASHINGTON (AP) Jeff Woodward scored 16 points off of the bench to lead Colgate past American 73-54 on Saturday night.

Woodward finished 7 of 9 from the floor for the Raiders (13-8, 7-1 Patriot League). Chandler Baker scored 15 points while finishing 5 of 7 from 3-point range. Keegan Records shot 7 of 8 from the field to finish with 14 points.

Matt Rogers led the way for the Eagles (11-10, 5-3) with 19 points. Jermaine Ballisager Webb added 10 points and eight rebounds for American. In addition, Lorenzo Donadio had nine points.

Colgate took the lead with 14:02 remaining in the first half and did not give it up. Woodward led his team in scoring with 10 points in the first half to help put them up 34-24 at the break. Colgate pulled away with an 8-0 run in the second half to extend a 10-point lead to 18 points. They outscored American by nine points in the final half, as Baker led the way with a team-high nine second-half points.
