NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Some shooters really don't like Memorial Gymnasium, the Southeastern Conference's oldest basketball gym.

Not Auburn graduate Jaylin Williams.

He hit every shot he attempted scoring 21 points as 13th-ranked Auburn coasted to its 10th straight victory routing Vanderbilt 80-65 Wednesday night. Coach Bruce Pearl said he thought Williams was "phenomenal," noting he shot 8 of 12 in his last game on the raised court where many shooters struggle.

"That's pretty strong in Memorial," Pearl said. "But just obviously let the game come to him and plays the right way."

Williams finished three off his career-high and was at his best in the first half. He knocked down five shots, including a pair of 3s, and five free throws, and his dunk with 19 seconds left helped the Tigers take a 41-24 lead into halftime.

The graduate added a pair of buckets in the second half to stay perfect from the floor. Johni Broome scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Auburn, and Dylan Cardwell added 12 points. Aden Holloway had 10.

Williams said he didn't realize he hadn't missed a shot until after making his first five. Then a teammate kidded him to only take layups to stay perfect.

"Things ended up pretty good for me," Williams said.

Vanderbilt coach Jerry Stackhouse said Williams had an "unbelievable game" but not unusual.

"Scouting this team two games ago, he was nine for nine," Stackhouse said of Williams. "So it's not a fluke. He's as good as advertised."

Auburn (15-2, 4-0 Southeastern Conference) came in tied for Division I's seventh-longest active winning streak at nine. This is Auburn's longest streak since winning 19 straight during the 2021-22 season, including a 10-0 start to SEC play.

Each of Auburn's wins this season has been by at least 11 points, and Auburn trailed only briefly at 16-14. Then the high-scoring Tigers got going. Cardwell hit a pair of free throws tying it up for the second and final time. Tre Donaldson followed with a layup starting a 23-4 spurt putting Auburn in control.

Vanderbilt (5-12, 0-4) has lost four straight and joins Missouri as the only winless teams in SEC play. Tyrin Lawrence led the Commodores with 15 points. Jason Rivera-Torres added 14, Ezra Manjon had 12 and Malik Pressley 11.

Auburn led by as much as 66-44 on a 3-pointer from Lior Berman. Vanderbilt got within 70-57 with 4:11 left, but Williams found Denver Jones with a behind the back pass for a 3 from the left corner to answer.
