York produced a goal and an assist in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets. After helping to set up Joel Farabee early in the first period to get the Flyers on the board, York wrapped up the scoring on the day with an empty-netter. It was the first multi-point performance of the season for the 22-year-old blueliner. While York is averaging a career-high in ice time with 22:18, he's lost his spot on the power play and has only two goals and six points through 18 games, giving him limited fantasy appeal.... Flyers' Cam York: Puts up helper
York logged an assist, two PIM and a plus-3 rating in Friday's 6-3 win over the Ducks. York helped out on Travis Sanheim's third-period tally, which stood as the game-winner. The assist snapped a five-game drought for York, whose lack of offense has started to cost him power-play time. The defenseman is at four points, 20 shots on net, 19 blocked shots, 16 PIM and a minus-2 rating through 14 appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Cam York: Plucks apple Tuesday
York notched an assist, two shots on goal, three blocked shots, two PIM and a minus-2 rating in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Golden Knights. York helped out on a Cam Atkinson tally in the first period. The 22-year-old York has picked up eight PIM over his last three games, which could lead to him losing his spot on the top defensive pairing if he can't show better discipline. The blueliner has two points, 12 shots on net, 11 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over six contests.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Cam York: Practicing Saturday
York (undisclosed) is back at practice Saturday, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. York was a full participant in Saturday's session after missing the past three days of practice. He has an excellent chance to quarterback the Flyers' top power-play unit this season following Tony DeAngelo's offseason departure.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Cam York: Day-to-day with undisclosed injury
York has not practiced the last two days and is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury, Sam Carchidi of Philly Hockey Now reports. York was selected 14th overall in the first round of the 2019 Draft. He managed to play in 54 games in 2022-23, scoring twice while adding 18 assists. York is slated to quarterback the top power-play unit this season and that should give him some fantasy value in 2023-24.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Cam York: Signs two-year deal
York signed a two-year, $3.2 million contract with Philadelphia on Monday. York registered two goals, 18 assists and 69 blocked shots in 54 games with the Flyers last season. The 22-year-old defender projects to be an important part of Philadelphia's blue line in 2023-24, especially after Ivan Provorov was traded to Columbus in June.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Cam York: Four points in last four games
York scored a goal and added an assist in a 5-4 overtime loss to Ottawa on Thursday. It was York's second goal of the season. His previous snipe came Dec. 13 in his third game of the season. York has delivered four points (one goal, three assists) in his last four games after putting up just 13 in his first 42 games.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Cam York: Nets assist in win
York collected an assist during Tuesday's win over Montreal. It was the second assist within the last three games for York. The 22-year-old is up to 16 points in 45 games this season. He continues to have a meaningful role with the club, averaging 19:14 of ice time per game including 1:42 on the power play.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Cam York: Picks up assist
York generated an assist in Tuesday's loss to Tampa Bay. York's offense has faded as the season progresses, having scored two points over the past 12 games. With Tony DeAngelo suspended for two games, York should be given more offensive opportunities.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Cam York: Collects assist in win
York picked up an assist in Monday's win over Calgary. The helper snapped a six-game point drought for York. He has 12 points, 24 hits, 44 blocks and a plus-9 rating in 31 games this season, while averaging 19:20 of ice time.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Cam York: Nets assist in defeat
York picked up an assist during Sunday's loss to the Jets. The assist brings York up to 10 points through 21 games on the campaign. This ties him with last year's point total, albeit in nine fewer contests. The 22-year-old is playing a meaningful role for the Flyers, averaging 19:13 of ice time -- including 1:46 on the power play.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Cam York: Helpers in consecutive contests
York provided an assist, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 4-1 win over the Ducks. York set up Morgan Frost's first-period tally, which ended up being the game-winner. With all six of his helpers coming over the last seven games, York has settled in pretty nicely after a bit of a slow start following his Dec. 8 call-up. He has seven points, six shots on goal, 17 blocked shots, nine hits and a plus-6 rating through 11 contests overall.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Cam York: Two helpers in win
York notched two assists in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Blue Jackets. He had a hand in second-period goals by Morgan Frost and Owen Tippett as the Flyers took a lead they wouldn't relinquish. York has been productive since his promotion, collecting a goal and four points in his last four games, but as yet the 14th overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft isn't seeing the consistent power-play time that would make him a true fantasy asset.... Flyers' Cam York: Nets goal in loss
York scored a goal and added four hits in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Avalanche. York got his first goal of the season in his third game, opening the scoring Tuesday. He's filled in while Tony DeAngelo (personal) has been out of the lineup. York has added a plus-3 rating, six hits and three blocked shots while taking on a top-four role, so there's a chance he could stick with the big club even once DeAngelo returns -- those two players may ultimately end up competing for power-play time.... Flyers' Cam York: Injured in AHL game
York suffered an apparent leg injury during an AHL game Sunday, Bill Meltzer of NHL.com reports. York was reportedly not able to put any weight on his leg as he was helped off the ice after the incident. The 21-year-old blueliner had four points in seven games with AHL Lehigh Valley prior to Sunday. He appeared in 30 games with the Flyers last season.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Cam York: Doesn't make Opening Night roster
York was assigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Wednesday. Although York will head to the minors to start the season, he'll likely be back with the big club sooner rather than later, as he's considered to be Philadelphia's top defensive prospect. The 21-year-old American collected three goals and 10 points through 30 games with the Flyers last campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Cam York: Won't return this season
York (lower body) won't be available for the final four games of the campaign, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. York will finish the year having tallied 10 points through 30 contests. The 21-year-old defender will likely take on a larger role with the Flyers in 2022-23.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Cam York: Still out of action
York (lower body) won't play Thursday versus the Canadiens, Olivia Reiner of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. York is set for his fifth straight absence, though he's still considered day-to-day. The defenseman's next chance to play is Sunday against the Penguins.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Cam York: Considered day-to-day
York (lower body) won't play Saturday against the Sabres and is considered doubtful for Sunday's rematch with Buffalo, Bill Meltzer of NHL.com reports. At this point it's safe to assume York will miss both games against the Sabres, but the Flyers should release an update on his status if he recovers from his lower-body injury faster than expected. Egor Zamula will likely remain in the lineup until York is ready to return.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Cam York: Suffers lower-body injury
York will not be available versus the Rangers on Wednesday after sustaining a lower-body injury. York will join fellow defensemen Rasmus Ristolainen (upper body) and Nick Seeler (lower body) on the list of injured Flyers. As a result, the team was forced to call up Egor Zamula, who will immediately step into the lineup against New York. Looking ahead to next season, the 21-year-old York should be in contention for a regular spot on the 23-man roster.... See More ... See Less
