Drysdale (lower body) is not playing Sunday versus the Bruins. Drysdale will miss his third straight game with the lower-body issue. Urho Vaakanainen will take a turn on the top pairing while Tristan Luneau sits as a scratch on the second half of a back-to-back.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Unavailable Saturday
Drysdale (lower body) won't play Saturday versus Arizona, per Alyson Lozoff of Bally Sports West. Drysdale has two assists, three hits and a block in two games this season. This will be his second straight absence due to his lower-body injury. Drysdale's next opportunity to play will be Sunday against Boston.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Dealing with lower-body injury
Drysdale is day-to-day with a lower-body injury, coach Greg Cronin told Derek Lee of The Sporting Tribune on Thursday. Drysdale has two assists, three hits and a block in two games this season. If he can't play Thursday versus Dallas, then Tristan Luneau will likely draw into the lineup.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Assists in consecutive games
Drysdale notched an assist in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Hurricanes. Drysdale has an assist in each of the first two contests this season. He set up the first of Frank Vatrano's three goals in Sunday's win. Drysdale has added three shots on goal, three hits and a plus-2 rating in a top-four role. He's not showing any rust after missing 11 months due to shoulder surgery and a contract negotiation during training camp.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Records helper in opener
Drysdale notched an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Golden Knights. Drysdale missed nearly all of camp as an unsigned restricted free agent, and he hadn't played a regular-season game since Oct. 28 of last year due to a shoulder injury. Despite the long layoff, he looked solid in his 22:54 of ice time in the Ducks' opener. The 21-year-old defenseman figures to be a top-four fixture on a fairly inexperienced blue line, and that should also come with some power-play time. While he went plus-1 Saturday, he may struggle to stay positive in that category while playing for a team projected to finish near the bottom of the standings.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Signs three-year contract
Drysdale and the Ducks agreed on a three-year contract for $6.9 million, according to Darren Dreger of TSN. Drysdale sat out most of training camp as an unsigned restricted free agent after being limited to just eight games last season due to shoulder surgery. The talented blueliner was drafted sixth overall in 2020 and could be a 35-40 point performer in 2023-24.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Sitting out to start camp
Drysdale (contract dispute) is not with the Ducks to begin training camp Thursday, Eric Stephens of The Athletic reports. Drysdale played in just eight games last season due to shoulder surgery. He was lifted from injured reserve in May, which makes it safe to assume he is now healthy, but he won't be with the Ducks until he gets a new contract. The 21-year-old defenseman is an unsigned restricted free agent, and it's expected he'll take a bridge deal. The Ducks' first regular-season game is Oct. 14 versus the Golden Knights.... See More ... Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Lifted from IR
Drysdale (shoulder) was activated from injured reserve Wednesday, per CapFriendly. Drysdale missed nearly all of the season, recording just eight appearances before undergoing shoulder surgery in October. The 21-year-old defenseman is seemingly healthy now and should be a full go for the Ducks' training camp in September, where he'll look to resume a top-four role heading into 2023-24.... See More ... Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Unlikely to return this season
Drysdale (shoulder) is not expected to get into any games late in the season, Eric Stephens of The Athletic reports. Drysdale underwent shoulder surgery early in the season, which carried a 4-6 month recovery timeline. With the Ducks far out of the playoff race, they're understandably cautious with future franchise cornerstone's health and won't risk him playing in meaningless contests. Drysdale should be at or near 100 percent for training camp in September.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Out 4-6 months
Drysdale is expected to be out 4-6 months after suffering a torn labrum in his left shoulder last Friday against Vegas. Anaheim announced that Drysdale will undergo surgery in the near future. The 20-year-old defender averaged 17:37 of ice time in the Ducks' first eight games of the 2022-23 season. He didn't pick up a point during that span, but was credited with eight shots on goal, six blocks and seven hits. Drysdale was moved to injured reserve, according to the NHL media site.... Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Unavailable Sunday
Drysdale (upper body) will not play Sunday against the Maple Leafs, Lisa Dillman of The Orange County Register reports. Drysdale was injured during Friday's loss to Vegas and will now miss at least one contest. The 20-year-old blueliner is averaging 17:37 of ice time per game but has yet to score a point. Colton White will skate in his absence.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Puts up assist in loss
Drysdale notched an assist and two shots on goal in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Stars. Despite some growing pains, Drysdale put together a solid rookie year with four goals and 28 assists in 81 appearances. The defenseman also had 137 shots on net, 72 blocked shots and a minus-26 rating in a top-four role. He's got the talent to be a productive scorer at the NHL level, but he'll need to take strides defensively in 2022-23 -- no easy task on a Ducks team likely to still be rebuilding for another season or two.... Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Hits 30-point mark
Drysdale had a two-assist night Saturday in a 5-3 win over Philadelphia. With a minus-21 rating, Drysdale still has a ways to go toward tightening up his defensive game. But his offensive game isn't in question. The 20-year-old now has 30 points, including 26 apples, in 72 games this season. Drysdale's future is bright.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Finds assist in win
Drysdale recorded an assist, seven shots on goal, four blocked shots and a plus-4 rating in Friday's 5-0 win over the Coyotes. Drysdale and Cam Fowler were the Ducks' most effective defense pairing in this contest, and the former's assist came on the latter's second-period goal. The seven shots marked a new personal best for a single game for Drysdale. The 19-year-old is up to 28 points, 111 shots, 65 blocked shots and a minus-18 rating through 69 contests in a top-four role.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Lucks into fourth goal
Drysdale scored a goal, blocked three shots and added two hits in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Stars. Drysdale actually shot the puck wide on his goal, but the carom off the boards bounced into the net off Stars goalie Jake Oettinger. This was Drysdale's first goal since Dec. 1, a span of 43 appearances in which he racked up 14 assists. The 19-year-old blueliner has 27 points, 104 shots on net, 61 blocked shots and a minus-22 rating through 68 games in his first full campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Plucks apple in loss
Drysdale notched an assist and four shots on goal in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Predators. Drysdale had a shot in the first period that generated a rebound for Derek Grant to score on. The assist was Drysdale's second in four games since he was a healthy scratch March 12 versus the Devils. The 19-year-old blueliner has had his growing pains defensively with a minus-18 rating, but he's also showed his scoring skill with 26 points and 100 shots on net through 64 outings.... See More ... Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Earns assist after healthy scratch
Drysdale notched an assist and two hits in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Islanders. Drysdale was a surprising healthy scratch Saturday versus the Devils as Josh Manson returned from injured reserve. This turned out to be a one-game decision, with Drysdale back in the lineup Sunday. He helped out on an Isac Lundestrom tally in the second period. Drysdale has been solid in his rookie season with 25 points, 92 shots on net, 55 blocked shots and a minus-18 rating through 61 appearances. The 19-year-old probably won't be watching from the press box very often going forward, so he's still safe to roster in deeper redraft formats as well as dynasty leagues.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Adds another power-play helper
Drysdale logged a power-play assist in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Golden Knights. Drysdale has opened March with power-play helpers in consecutive games. The 19-year-old defenseman has earned 24 points in 57 contests this season, and 11 of his 21 assists have come with the man advantage.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Jamie Drysdale: Sets up game-winner on power play
Drysdale notched a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Bruins. Drysdale had the primary assist on Trevor Zegras' game-winning goal at 19:38 of the third period. That's a scoring line Ducks fans should get used to seeing for the next few years. Drysdale reached the 20-assist mark on the play, and he's at 23 points, 88 shots on net, 55 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating in 56 appearances overall.... See More ... See Less
