Nashville Predators goalie Pekka Rinne has hit a little bit of a slump over the past few games, but he still managed to turn in one of the best saves of the NHL season so far when he made a sprawling goal-line stick save on Coyotes rookie Max Domi on Tuesday night.
With the Coyotes on the man-advantage in the first period, Domi attempted to knock home a rebound after Rinne kicked the puck back into the slot. Even though Domi didn't get all of the shot, it still looked like it was going to slide the puck into an open net as Rinne attempted to recover from the initial save that came from the opposite side of the ice.
That is when this happened.

It can't possibly get any closer than that. We're probably talking about centimeters here when it comes to the difference between a goal and a highlight reel save.
The play had to be reviewed to make sure the entire puck didn't cross the line and the league concluded that it did not.
The Coyotes would eventually beat Rinne to take a 2-1 lead into the third period thanks to goals from Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Kyle Chipchura.
The Predators though would score four consecutive goals to pick up the 5-2 win.
