Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt addressed a request made by safety Bernard Pollard to be released, saying that there's "no decision to be made" while the safety recovers from Achillies surgery, The Tennessean reports.

"Those are the kinds of things that go on this time of year, so that is not uncommon,'' Whisenhunt said of Pollard's request. "He's not healthy right now, so there is no decision to be made."

Pollard has been rehabbing away from the team's facility in recent weeks, according to the report. He's scheduled to make $3.1 million in 2015 in the final year of his two-year deal. The Titans would save $3.2 million in cap space by releasing the safety.
