NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Who said the Tennessee Titans were lacking in the wide receiver department? On Sunday, Titans wideout Nick Westbrook-Ikhine caught five passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns, and helped power the Titans to a 17-10 win over the Denver Broncos.
Ryan Tannehill completed 19 of 36 passes for 255 yards and two touchdowns, while Derrick Henry was held in check with just 53 rushing yards on 19 carries. Russell Wilson completed 21 of 42 passes for 286 yards, one touchdown and one interception, but he was sacked six times and was under pressure on virtually every drop back. Tennessee's defense recorded a whopping 18 QB hits. Wilson's one touchdown pass was caught by Jalen Virgil -- a 66-yard bomb in the second quarter that marked the first career catch for the undrafted rookie out of App State.
The Broncos offense went flat in the second half, recording just 106 yards in the final two quarters. Wilson did get the Broncos to the Tennessee 21-yard line with just seconds remaining in the game, but the Titans defense stood tall and picked off Wilson in the end zone.
With this win, the 6-3 Titans solidified their hold on the AFC South, while the Broncos fall to 3-6. The Broncos return to Denver next week, and will host the rival Las Vegas Raiders. As for the Titans, they are on a short week in Week 11, as they will travel to Green Bay to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.
