Seahawks vs. Rams: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game

The Seattle Seahawks will host the Los Angeles Rams to start their respective 2023-2024 campaigns. Kickoff is scheduled at 4:25 p.m. ET on September 10th at Lumen Field.

One of the more interesting stats to watch in this game could be penalties, as these teams couldn't have been more different last year. The Rams finished last season ranked second overall in penalties, having averaged 4.5 per game. The Seahawks, on the other hand, didn't do so hot: they were ranked 26th with 6.2 per game.

Looking back to last season, Los Angeles struggled throughout, finishing with a less-than-stellar 5-12 record. On the other hand, the Seahawks assembled a winning record last year, finishing the season 9-8.

The Rams will be fighting an uphill battle on Sunday as the experts have pegged them as the 5.5-point underdog. They finished last season with a 6-11 record against the spread.

That disadvantage in the odds might be especially worrying for Los Angeles considering the team was a sub-par 2-9 as the underdog last season. While their fans probably aren't happy about it, betting on the team to lose was the smart play last year, and bettors who put $100 on that outcome every game finished the season up $1,572.86. The Seahawks will open their season as the favorite, and the team was 3-3 as such last season.
