Knicks' Miles McBride: Ruled out against Portland
McBride (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers, Stefan Bondy of The New York Post reports.
McBride will miss a fifth straight game for the Knicks on Sunday while nursing a groin injury. New York is dealing with many injuries in the backcourt, with Jalen Brunson (ankle) and Cam Cameron Payne (ankle) also ruled out for this game. The Knicks will likely lean on Delon Wright and Tyler Kolek to pick up the slack against the Trail Blazers.

Knicks' Cameron Payne: Another absence coming
Payne (ankle) will not play Sunday against the Trail Blazers.
Payne will miss a second straight game Sunday. With Miles McBride (groin) and Jalen Brunson (ankle) on the shelf as well, Delon Wright could draw another start with Tyler Kolek and Landry Shamet soaking up some reps off the bench.

Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Out again Sunday
Brunson (ankle) will not play Sunday against the Trail Blazers.
Brunson will be sidelined for a 12th game in a row Sunday. However, he's been able to do some light work at recent practices, and a return in the near future could be on the table. His next chance to play comes April 1 against the 76ers, the first leg of a back-to-back set.

Knicks' OG Anunoby: Explodes for 31 points in win
Anunoby closed Friday's 116-107 victory over Milwaukee with 31 points (9-21 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 10-10 FT), two rebounds, two assists and three steals across 36 minutes.
Anunoby carried the Knicks offensively Friday with an impressive display, and even though he's not known for being a reliable offensive weapon, he's certainly showing those traits of late. This was his fifth straight game with at least 23 points, a span in which he's averaging 28.4 points per game while shooting 53.8 percent from the floor.

Knicks' Mikal Bridges: Goes for 26 points in win
Bridges finished Friday's 116-107 victory over Milwaukee with 26 points (12-24 FG, 2-6 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists and two steals across 38 minutes.
Bridges was one of several New York players who had to step up their game due to the struggles of Karl-Anthony Towns (14 points, 6-16 FG) and the absence of Jalen Brunson (ankle). He responded by reaching the 20-point plateau for the sixth time across his streak of 11 straight games with double-digit points. Over that 11-game stretch, Bridges is averaging 21.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 55 percent from the floor and 37.5 percent from three-point range.

Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Struggles with shot despite win
Towns racked up 14 points (6-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and two steals in 32 minutes during Friday's 116-107 win over the Bucks.
Towns didn't have his best performance Friday, but other players stepped up for New York and secured the victory in a matchup with tons of playoff implications against Milwaukee. At least Towns managed to keep his double-double streak alive, and he's now achieved that feat in five straight contests. Over that five-game stretch, Towns is averaging 25.8 points, 11.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game. The star big man isn't expected to struggle for an extended stretch, though, and he'll aim to bounce back when the Knicks take on the Trail Blazers on Sunday.

Knicks' Ariel Hukporti: Not yet practicing
Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau said Tuesday that Hukporti (knee) isn't doing much in practice other than individual work, Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News reports.
Hukporti is on the mend from surgery to address a torn meniscus, which he underwent Feb. 28. Though Hukporti hasn't experienced any reported complications in his recovery, the rookie isn't guaranteed to make it back on the court before the end of the regular season. Even when healthy this season, Hukporti has largely been outside of the rotation, appearing in 25 games while averaging 8.7 minutes.

Knicks' Delon Wright: Promoted to starting role
Wright will be in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Bucks, Steve Popper of Newsday reports.
The Knicks are thin in their backcourt, as they'll be without Jalen Brunson (groin), Miles McBride (ankle) and Cameron Payne (ankle). This means Wright is essentially the "next man up" in the depth chart, so he'll get the nod as the nominal point guard. Wright has made just two starts this season, logging 27 and 33 minutes in a two-game stretch between Nov. 13 and Nov. 16 against the Pistons and Hornets, respectively. The Knicks went 1-1 in those games, with Wright tallying seven points, seven rebounds, 14 assists, three steals and three blocks in total.

Payne (ankle) will not play Friday against the Bucks.

Knicks' Miles McBride: Won't play Friday
McBride (groin) will not play Friday against the Bucks.

Knicks' Mikal Bridges: Dishes out nine assists Wednesday
Bridges racked up 17 points (7-16 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, nine assists and one steal in 40 minutes during Wednesday's 126-113 loss to the Clippers.
Bridges has failed to reach the 20-point mark in three of his last five appearances, but the veteran forward still posted a solid line in this game due to his passing. The nine assists were a season-high mark in that category for Bridges, who averaged 21.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 0.9 steals per game across his last 10 appearances.

Knicks' OG Anunoby: Puts up 28 points in loss
Anunoby contributed 28 points (11-17 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 126-113 loss to the Clippers.
Anunoby is going through his most prolific stretch of the season, and the veteran wing has emerged as a reliable scoring option for the Knicks in the absence of Jalen Brunson (ankle). This was his fourth straight game with 23 or more points, and he's now reached the 20-point threshold in seven of his last nine contests, averaging 22.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.1 steals and 0.9 blocks per contest in that span.

Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Massive stat line not enough
Towns closed with 34 points (11-20 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 14 rebounds, four assists and two steals over 39 minutes during Wednesday's 126-113 loss to the Clippers.
The Knicks had to rely heavily on Towns in this matchup, and while he had a tough assignment in Ivica Zubac, the star center posted an impressive line en route to his fourth consecutive game with a double-double or triple-double. Towns has seven double-doubles and one triple-double in his 12 appearances in the current month, and he should continue to operate as the Knicks' go-to option on offense as long as Jalen Brunson (ankle) remains sidelined. Over that 12-game stretch, Towns is averaging 25.0 points, 10.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.0 steals per game.

Knicks' Cameron Payne: Won't return Wednesday
Payne has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's game against the Clippers due to a right ankle sprain.
Payne sustained the ankle injury during the first quarter and attempted to play through the injury. However, Tyler Kolek replaced him in the starting lineup coming out of halftime, and he's now been ruled out. Kolek should see plenty of action the rest of the way, while Delon Wright and Landry Shamet could also see an uptick in minutes. Payne's next chance to play will come Friday against Milwaukee.

Knicks' Miles McBride: Out again Wednesday
McBride (groin) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Clippers.
McBride will miss a third straight game due to a left groin contusion but remains day-to-day ahead of Friday's game in Milwaukee. With Jalen Brunson (ankle) also sidelined, Cameron Payne should start at point guard again while Tyler Kolek sees playing time off the bench.

Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Not listed on injury report
Robinson (ankle) isn't listed on New York's injury report for Wednesday's game against the Clippers.
Mitchell sat out Tuesday's win over Dallas, but as expected, he'll be back in action for the second half of New York's back-to-back set. Over his last six appearances, the backup big man has averaged 5.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks in 18.2 minutes per game.
