Magic's Jalen Suggs: Strong two-way performance
Suggs recorded 22 points (9-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, three assists and two steals in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 139-120 victory over Washington.
Suggs' strong start to the season continued Wednesday, helping the Magic to their eighth consecutive victory. He has scored doublecdigits in 11 straight games, collecting at least one steal in all but one game all season. Although his value is heavily weighted toward his defensive contributions, he is doing more than enough to be considered a must-roster player in all formats.

Magic's Jalen Suggs: Limited impact Friday
Suggs notched 10 points (3-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one steal over 28 minutes during Friday's 113-96 victory over the Celtics.
Suggs was sharp from deep, but he didn't offer much else in a game where Paolo Banchero and Moritz Wagner grabbed all the headlines for the Magic. Suggs has emerged as a consistent scoring weapon for an on-the-rise Orlando team and has delivered double-digit points in each of his last nine appearances, averaging 14.1 points per game in that span.

Magic's Jalen Suggs: Nears 20 points in return
Suggs provided 18 points (6-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 18 minutes during Sunday's 128-116 win over the Pacers.
Suggs returned to the lineup after missing the previous game, finishing two points short of the 20-point mark while ending as one of six Magic players with a double-digit point total. Suggs has recorded 18 or more points in three games this season, including three of his last five outings.

Magic's Jalen Suggs: Active and starting Sunday
Suggs (knee) is in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against Indiana.
Suggs missed Friday's victory over Chicago due to left knee soreness, but he's been cleared and will join the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Pacers. He will start alongside Anthony Black with Markelle Fultz (knee) missing his fourth straight game.

Magic's Jalen Suggs: Upgraded to probable
Suggs (knee) is now listed as probable for Sunday's game versus the Pacers.
Suggs is expected to return to action Sunday after missing Orlando's previous game with left knee soreness. If the 22-year-old guard is upgraded to available, Gary Harris or Anthony Black will likely head back to the bench.

Magic's Jalen Suggs: Iffy for Sunday
The Magic list Suggs (knee) as questionable for Sunday's game against the Pacers.
Suggs was sidelined for the first time all season in Friday's 103-97 loss to the Bulls, sitting on account of a sore left knee. Markelle Fultz (knee) also remained out for a fourth straight contest, paving the way for Cole Anthony to see a season-high 37 minutes off the bench behind fill-in backcourt starters Anthony Black (11 minutes) and Gary Harris (29 minutes). The Magic are already ruling Fultz out for Sunday's game, but if Suggs is cleared to play against Indiana, he should take back a starting spot from either Harris or Black.

Magic's Jalen Suggs: Ruled out Friday
Suggs (knee) won't play in Friday's game versus the Bulls.
Suggs has been downgraded from questionable to out Friday due to left knee soreness. Gary Harris will start in his absence. Suggs' next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with Indiana.

Magic's Jalen Suggs: Game-time decision Friday
Suggs will be a game-time decision Friday against the Bulls due to general soreness, Dan Savage of the Magic's official site reports. He's officially listed as questionable.
Per Savage, Suggs has taken a few bumps and bruises from hits and falls the last couple of games and may need a night off. If he's sidelined, the Magic will be shorthanded in the backcourt, as Markelle Fultz (knee) remains out, so Anthony Black, Cole Anthony, Gary Harris and Joe Ingles would all be candidates for increased roles.

Magic's Jalen Suggs: Contributes in close win
Suggs put up 10 points (2-8 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five assists, three steals and two rebounds in Wednesday's 96-94 thriller over Chicago on Wednesday.
Suggs has now scored in double digits in his last five games, averaging 14.2 points, 3.4 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 30.4 minutes during that span. Although his offensive efficiency is not quite there, the third-year guard certainly makes up for it on the defensive end (2.2 steals and 0.5 blocks on the season). Suggs will continue to warrant starting minutes, barring a significant change, so his production moving forward still hinges on his efficiency.

Magic's Jalen Suggs: Serviceable again in loss
Suggs supplied 10 points (4-13 FG, 2-7 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 124-104 loss to the Nets.
Suggs went just 4-of-13 from the floor but salvaged his night with another strong defensive showing. After a slow start to the season, he has emerged as a must-roster player thanks to his ability to rack up elite steal numbers. He was forced from this game due to an apparent arm injury but was able to return. Managers should keep an eye on the injury report ahead of Wednesday's game against the Bulls just in case the injury flares up overnight.

Magic's Jalen Suggs: Shines at both ends Thursday
Suggs posted 21 points (7-10 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 3-6 FT), two rebounds, one assist and six steals over 31 minutes during Thursday's 120-119 loss to the Hawks.
Suggs had his best game of the season by a wide margin, recording season-high marks in points and steals. The scoring output is particularly significant considering how much he'd struggled in his previous outings. Suggs needs to be more consistent and improve his efficiency, however, as he has scored 15 or more points just twice while shooting a meager 40.5 percent from the field.

Magic's Jalen Suggs: Another mediocre performance
Suggs closed Monday's 117-102 loss to the Mavericks with 10 points (4-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal in 24 minutes.
Suggs' combination of defensive intensity, offensive connectivity and plus-athleticism is a strong foundation, but his inability to carve out an effective shot diet is a detraction to his fantasy viability. Suggs will likely continue to see a sizable workload, but improving upon his 32.7 percent three-point shooting from last season is imperative.

Magic's Jalen Suggs: Misses last-second shot
Suggs ended with 15 points (4-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one steal across 26 minutes during Monday's 106-103 loss to the Lakers.
Suggs had a chance to send the game to overtime, but his fade-back jumper missed the mark. Monday marked Orlando's first loss of the season, and it already looks like they'll make fewer notches in the loss column with a very diverse and effective offense. Suggs hasn't blown up yet, but a game of 20 points or more should be just around the corner for the talented guard.

Magic's Jalen Suggs: Limited results in opener
Suggs had eight points (3-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt) and four rebounds over 21 minutes during Wednesday's 116-86 victory over Houston.
Suggs and the rest of Orlando's starters didn't see excessive playing time during Wednesday's regular-season opener, but it was discouraging to see the 2021 first-rounder open the year with an inefficient performance from the floor. He averaged 9.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 23.5 minutes per game last year and should be able to handle a relatively similar role this season, but it's possible rookie Anthony Black pushes for playing time at some point despite logging just five minutes Wednesday.
