Hyland notched 20 points (8-14 FG, 4-6 3Pt), five rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal across 22 minutes during Wednesday's 141-132 victory over Memphis. Hyland has gotten consistent playing time in the last four games and has produced. He's averaging 16.8 points and 7.0 assists in those four contests. The 22-year-old is also helping out in other categories with five steals and 13 triples over the last four games. Both Paul George (knee) and Kawhi Leonard (personal) were out Wednesday, freeing up minutes and shots. Even when Leonard comes back, Hyland has found a useful role as the season comes to a close.... Clippers' Bones Hyland: Scores team-high 18 points
Hyland amassed 18 points (7-12 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds and seven assists over 24 minutes during Saturday's 131-110 loss to the Pelicans. Hyland was productive off the bench with 27 minutes on the floor and was the lone bright spot against the Pelicans' relentless scoring barrage from beyond the arc. The VCU product is experiencing a usage spike in the wake of Paul George's (leg) injury, making him a potential streaming option as the regular season comes to a close.... See More ... See Less -
Clippers' Bones Hyland: Increases output sans George
Hyland amassed 16 points (6-13 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 0-1 FT), four rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal across 26 minutes during Thursday's 127-105 victory over the Thunder. With Paul George (knee) missing his first game since late January, many fantasy managers were anxious to see who might step up for the Clippers to try to replace his production. Hyland filled that role well Thursday, finishing third on the team in scoring and tying for the lead in assists. His 26 minutes were particularly promising given that Hyland hadn't gotten off the bench in any of Los Angeles' previous seven contests. The second-year guard has shown in the past that he can score in bunches when given the opportunity, and he could get that chance moving forward with George expected to miss multiple weeks.... Clippers' Bones Hyland: Sees 15 minutes off bench
Hyland logged 10 points (4-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists in 15 minutes during Sunday's 134-124 overtime loss to Denver. After picking up a DNP-CD against the Kings on Friday, it was good to see Hyland back in coach Ty Lue's rotation, but it looks as though he may have a difficult time achieving fantasy relevance the rest of the way. Hyland played exactly 16 minutes in each of his two games with the Clippers before the All-Star break, so barring an injury to Russell Westbrook (25 minutes played Sunday), Eric Gordon (25) and/or Terance Mann (25), the second-year guard looks to be more of a secondary option.... Clippers' Bones Hyland: Ready to debut Tuesday
Hyland will make his debut with the Clippers on Tuesday against the Warriors, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports. After being acquired from Denver at the trade deadline, Hyland appears all set to make his Clippers debut Tuesday. The second-year pro averaged 12.1 points, 2.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists across 19.5 minutes over his 41 appearances with Denver this season. Hyland figures to compete with Terance Mann for minutes at the point guard position going forward.... See More ... See Less -
Clippers' Bones Hyland: Won't make debut Friday
Hyland won't play Friday against the Bucks, Justin Russo of the 'Clip & Roll' podcast reports. Hyland was acquired by the Clippers on Thursday in a trade with the Nuggets. The guard will have some time to get acquainted with the Clippers' system and could be able to play Tuesday against Golden State.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Bones Hyland: Shipped to Clippers
The Clippers acquired Hyland from the Nuggets on Thursday in exchange for 2024 and 2025 second-round draft picks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Hyland had recently been removed from the Nuggets' rotation, not playing in any of the team's last four games. However, he was productive earlier in the season, averaging 12.1 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 rebounds in 19.5 minutes across 42 contests. He'll likely slot in as the backup point guard in Los Angeles, where he could threaten Terance Mann's standing atop the depth chart. The Clippers still have John Wall (abdomen) on the roster, but he'll be sidelined through the All-Star break and is rumored to be on the way out of L.A.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Bones Hyland: Excised from rotation
Hyland (coach's decision) went unused off the bench in Saturday's 128-108 win over the Hawks. Hyland had been listed as probable heading into Saturday with a non-COVID-19-related illness, but his lack of playing time for the second game in a row looks to be the result of him moving outside of the rotation rather than the Nuggets having any concern about his health. The second-year guard continues to circulate in trade rumors leading up to the Feb. 9 deadline, and given that he's not currently seeing minutes with the 37-16 Nuggets, a move just about anywhere else would improve his fantasy outlook.... Nuggets' Bones Hyland: Available vs. Hawks
Hyland (illness) is available for Saturday's tilt against the Hawks, Harrison Wind of TheDNVR.com reports. Hyland's role has diminished significantly since mid-December, and he was a DNP-CD during Thursday's win over the Warriors. Plus, it's been reported the Nuggets are exploring trading him. So, he may not see the floor despite being available.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Bones Hyland: Probable Saturday
Hyland is probable for Saturday's matchup against the Hawks due to an illness. Hyland's role has diminished significantly since mid-December, and he was a DNP-CD during Thursday's win over the Warriors. Plus, it's been reported the Nuggets are exploring trading him. So, even if he's cleared Saturday, it's not guaranteed he'll play.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Bones Hyland: Invisible in win
Hyland ended Tuesday's 122-113 victory over the Pelicans with two points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and one assist in five minutes. Hyland's Tuesday result may be a strong indication of Denver's plans for the upcoming trade deadline, as Jamal Murray's resurgence has made the VCU product's services expendable. Hyland could find himself in a better situation if he is dealt, but it's still too early to consider him as a waiver-wire add if he's available in your league.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Bones Hyland: Scores 15 points off bench
Hyland chipped in 15 points (5-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal across 25 minutes during Wednesday's 107-99 loss to the Bucks. Hyland reached the 25-minute mark for the first time since late December and took advantage of the opportunity, as he scored in double digits for the first time since Jan. 11. He'd been dealing with some efficiency issues, and his numbers have been affected by that, as Hyland is averaging a mere 10.9 points per game while shooting 41.7 percent from the field in January.... Nuggets' Bones Hyland: Good to go Wednesday
Hyland (finger) will play Wednesday against the Bucks, Mike Singer of The Denver Post reports. Hyland will return following a one-game absence. He should see plenty of touches Wednesday, as the Nuggets are out four starters. When seeing at least 24 minutes, Hyland has averaged 20.9 points, 5.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals.... Nuggets' Bones Hyland: Iffy for Wednesday's contest
Hyland (finger) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Bucks. A sprained left finger kept Hyland sidelined for the first half of Denver's back-to-back set Tuesday, and the second-year point guard is officially a question mark for Wednesday. He's one of five Nuggets listed as questionable, so Denver may be extremely shorthanded for a matchup against the Bucks, who recently got Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo back from multi-game absences due to knee injuries. If Hyland is ruled out again, his next chance to suit up won't come until Saturday in Philadelphia.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Bones Hyland: Out vs. Pels
Hyland (finger) is out for Tuesday's matchup against the Pelicans, Mike Singer of The Denver Post reports. A sprained left finger will keep Hyland out for the first time since Nov. 30. In his absence, more minutes should be available for Ish Smith and Christian Braun.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Bones Hyland: Questionable Tuesday
Hyland (finger) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Pelicans, Mike Singer of The Denver Post reports. Hyland injured the finger Friday and played through the injury Sunday, although he played just 11 minutes in the contest. If he were to miss, Bruce Brown and Ish Smith would be in line for more minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Bones Hyland: Given green light to play
Hyland (finger) will be available for Sunday's game versus Oklahoma City. Hyland was one of several Nuggets players on the injury report heading into Sunday, but he'll ultimately play through the sprained finger on his left hand that picked up during Friday's win over Indiana. Jamal Murray (hip) is also active for Denver, though Nikola Jokic (hamstring) and Michael Porter (personal) are unavailable, so Hyland could absorb some of the scoring burden.... See More ... Nuggets' Bones Hyland: Questionable vs. Thunder
Hyland (finger) is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Thunder. Hyland exited Friday's win over the Pacers due to a sprained finger, and it's unclear if he'll play Sunday. With Jamal Murray (hip) also questionable, Denver could be thin in the backcourt. That could lead to increased run for Ish Smith.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Bones Hyland: Injures finger Friday
Hyland left Friday's 134-111 victory over the Pacers early after spraining a finger on his left hand, Nuggets beat writer T.J. McBride reports. Hyland accumulated five points (2-5 FG, 1-4 3PT), two rebounds and one steal across nine minutes prior to exiting the game. The severity of his injury is not known, but his status for Sunday's matchup with the Thunder is now up in the air. Ish Smith would be in line for increased minutes backing up Jamal Murray at point guard if Hyland ultimately has to miss any time.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Bones Hyland: Playing Wednesday
Hyland (ankle) will take the floor for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves. Hyland was handed a probable tag ahead of the contest and will play as expected. With Jamal Murray (ankle) also active, Hyland should handle his typical backup point guard duties.... See More ... See Less
