Knicks' Miles McBride: Game-time call Saturday
Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau labeled McBride (groin) as a game-time call for Saturday's contest versus the Wizards, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
McBride is dealing with a left groin contusion. The 24-year-old guard has started the last seven games for New York while Jalen Brunson (ankle) has been on the mend, averaging 12.6 points, 5.1 assists, 2.7 rebounds, 2.6 three-pointers and 1.3 steals in 34.0 minutes per contest during that stretch.

Knicks' Miles McBride: Sitting out Saturday
McBride (groin) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Wizards, Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News reports.
Cameron Payne will likely start at point guard in place of McBride, who had been filling in for Jalen Brunson (ankle) on the top unit in each of the last seven games. While Payne should see the brunt of the minutes at point guard, the Knicks could also make room in the rotation for either Tyler Kolek or Delon Wright as Payne's backup.

Knicks' Miles McBride: Questionable for Saturday
McBride (groin) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Wizards.
McBride was also listed as questionable due to the groin injury before suiting up in Thursday's loss to the Hornets. The 24-year-old posted nine points (4-10 FG, 1-6 3Pt), six assists, three rebounds and one block across 36 minutes. If McBride joins Jalen Brunson (ankle) on the sideline Saturday, Cameron Payne and Tyler Kolek are candidates for an uptick in playing time.

Knicks' Miles McBride: Deemed questionable Thursday
McBride is listed as questionable for Thursday's game versus the Hornets due to a left groin contusion.
McBride has started in the Knicks' last six contests in place of Jalen Brunson (ankle). After logging 31 minutes in Wednesday's 120-105 loss to the Spurs and finishing with 11 points (4-14 FG, 3-8 3Pt), five assists and three rebounds, McBride is nursing an injury that puts his status in jeopardy for the second leg of a back-to-back set. If McBride is sidelined Thursday, Cameron Payne would likely replace him in the starting five.

McBride totaled 11 points (4-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt), one rebound, five assists, two blocks and four steals across 38 minutes during Wednesday's 114-113 overtime win over Portland.
Making his third straight start in place of Jalen Brunson (ankle), McBride tied his season high in pilfers while recording multiple steals and blocks in the same game for the second time in 2024-25. The fourth-year guard has put up numbers when in the starting five, averaging 15.5 points, 5.3 assists, 3.5 threes, 3.0 boards, 2.5 steals and 1.3 blocks in 36.5 minutes when needed in a bigger role. McBride registered zero points (0-6 FG, 0-4 3Pt), five rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 21 minutes during Thursday's 113-109 overtime loss to the Lakers.
Despite this scoreless dud, McBride is going to be a potential pickup in fantasy formats with Jalen Brunson spraining his ankle late in this contest. In his only start of the season, McBride racked up 23 points, six rebounds, three assists, three blocks, three steals and five triples. It remains unclear if Brunson will be able to give it a go Friday against the Clippers.

McBride provided 23 points (9-19 FG, 5-12 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists, three blocks and three steals across 42 minutes during Thursday's 113-111 overtime win over the Bulls.
McBride got his first start of the season Thursday due to the absence of Josh Hart (knee), and the former was excellent on both ends of the court. The 23-point output was a new season-high mark while recording at least three tallies in each of the five major categories. McBride should remain in a starting role until Hart is ready to return, although his status for Friday's game against the Cavaliers remains in the air.
