Williams accumulated zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two rebounds and one steal across 15 minutes during Wednesday's 109-90 Play-In Game loss to the Heat. Williams had a disappointing 2024-25 campaign, shooting a career-low 39.7 percent from the field. The 23-year-old forward averaged 9.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 25.0 minutes across 63 appearances, including 36 starts, this season. While Williams is still a quality defender, it appears he may have lost his long-term starting spot to Matas Buzelis.... See More ... See Less

Bulls' Patrick Williams: Slides back to bench
Williams will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against Miami. Williams drew a spot start Tuesday with Chicago down several starters, but he'll rejoin the reserves Wednesday with the team close to full health. In his last eight appearances off the bench, Williams has averaged 8.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists across 22.8 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Lights it up from deep to lead team
Williams produced 21 points (7-11 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, five assists and one steal over 26 minutes during Tuesday's 135-113 loss to the Cavaliers. Williams led Chicago offensively in Tuesday's contest, leading all players in scoring and threes made while handing out a team-high-tying assist total in an offensive showcase. Williams set a new season high in scoring, crossing the 20-point mark for the first time this year. He also matched a season high in threes made, doing so on two occasions.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Enters starting lineup Tuesday
Williams is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers. The Bulls are missing most of their key starters Tuesday, opening up an opportunity for Williams to crack the first unit. It'll be the 2020 first-rounder's first start since Jan. 25, and Williams has averaged 7.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.6 blocks and 0.5 steals in 26.2 minutes through his last 14 games as a starter.... Bulls' Patrick Williams: Leads bench in scoring in win
Williams provided 15 points (6-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and two steals in 27 minutes during Sunday's 131-117 win over the Hornets. Williams provided a nice lift off the Bulls bench in Sunday's contest, leading all bench players in scoring while swiping a team-high-tying pair of steals in a two-way performance. Williams has recorded 15 or more points in seven outings, three of which have occurred off the bench.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Leads second unit in victory
Williams supplied 14 points (5-8 FG, 4-7 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and one block across 23 minutes during Saturday's 146-115 victory over the Lakers. Williams led the bench during an efficient performance Saturday, recording double-digit points for just the third time over his last 10 appearances. The 23-year-old has been a mainstay with the second unit since Jan. 27, which isn't expected to change moving forward. Williams has made seven appearances following a nine-game absence due to right quadricep tendinosis, averaging 7.6 points and 2.9 rebounds across 21.3 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Cleared to play Thursday
Williams (quadricep) is available for Thursday's game against the Kings. Williams missed nine straight games coming out of the All-Star break due to right quadricep tendinosis, but he's suited up in each of the Bulls' last five games, averaging 6.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 19.4 minutes per contest. Chicago initially listed Williams as probable for the second leg of its back-to-back set, but the forward will get the green light to suit up Thursday following an 18-minute outing in Wednesday's 127-121 loss to the Suns.... Bulls' Patrick Williams: Probable for Thursday
Williams (quadriceps) is probable for Thursday's game against the Kings. After playing 18 minutes against the Suns on Wednesday, Williams appears likely to play in the second leg of this back-to-back set. He's been hard to trust in fantasy formats, hitting 37.8 percent from the field for the season.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Will be limited Thursday
Williams (quadricep) will operate under a minutes restriction of around 24 minutes during Thursday's game against Brooklyn, Cody Westerlund of 670TheScore.com reports. Williams made his return from a nine-game absence due to right quad tendinosis in Monday's win over the Pacers, during which he recorded two points (1-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 0-2 FT), three rebounds and one assist across 13 minutes. The 23-year-old forward should still be expected to operate off the bench, where he has been a mainstay across the club's last 10 outings.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Ties season low with two points
Williams registered two points (1-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 0-2 FT), three rebounds and one assist across 13 minutes during Monday's 121-103 win over the Pacers. After missing nine games for the Bulls, Williams returned to the floor in Monday's win against the Pacers. Unfortunately, it was a forgettable performance for the 23-year-old forward, who finished the game with a season-low two points in 13 minutes off the bench.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Cleared to play Monday
Williams (quadriceps) is available for Monday's game against the Pacers, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports. Williams missed the Bulls' last nine games due to right quadriceps tendinosis. He has progressed enough in his recovery to return Monday, though Johnson notes that Williams will likely operate under a minutes restriction. Williams has played in 45 games (35 starts) this season and is averaging 9.1 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists over 26.2 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Not playing Saturday
Williams (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Heat, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. It'll be the 10th game in a row that Williams will miss while dealing with right quadricep tendinosis. His next opportunity to play will be Monday against the Pacers.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Unlikely to play Saturday
Williams (quadriceps) is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game versus the Heat. Williams is expected to miss his 10th straight contest Saturday due to a right knee injury. Matas Buzelis, Kevin Huerter and Julian Phillips should continue to receive increased playing time in his absence.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Downgraded to out
Williams (knee) won't play in Thursday's game versus the Magic. Williams' absence streak will extend to nine games Thursday after being downgraded from questionable to out due to a right knee injury. His next chance to suit up is Saturday's matchup with Miami.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Could return for upcoming road trip
Bulls head coach Billy Donovan said Sunday that Williams (knee) will begin ramping up this week and could be available for the team's two-game road trip that begins Thursday in Orlando, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports. Williams was sidelined for Sunday's 127-112 loss to the Pacers, marking his sixth straight absence due to a right quadricep tendinitis in his right knee. Based on Donovan's comments, Williams will remain out Tuesday versus the Cavaliers, but if he's able to practice Wednesday, the 23-year-old forward might be back in action versus the Magic or for the final game of the road trip Saturday in Miami. Williams' eventual return could result in fewer minutes being available for Matas Buzelis and Julian Phillips.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Out at least two weeks
The Bulls announced Thursday that Williams received a platelet-rich plasma injection to address tendinosis in his right knee and will be re-evaluated in two weeks. Williams initially injured his knee in the Bulls' final game before the All-Star break Feb. 12 versus Detroit, and he had already been ruled out in advance of Thursday's matchup with the Knicks. Though Williams' injury was thought to be a shorter-term concern, he'll now remain out for the remainder of February before potentially returning to action next month, depending on how he responds to treatment. Williams' absence could allow Matas Buzelis to take on expanded minutes in the frontcourt, while reserves Julian Phillips and Dalen Terry could also benefit from larger roles.... See More ... Bulls' Patrick Williams: Ruled out for Thursday
Williams (knee) will not play Thursday against the Knicks. Williams banged his knee in the final game before the All-Star break. K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reported that Williams practiced fully both Tuesday and Wednesday, however, so there's a good chance he could be ready to return Saturday against the Suns. Matas Buzelis is likely to soak up some extra minutes in the meantime.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Exits early with knee injury
Williams has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's game against the Pistons due to a right knee injury. Williams will end the contest with three points (1-2 3Pt), one rebound, one assist, one steal and one block across 18 minutes off the bench. With Williams idle, expect Matas Buzelis, Jalen Smith and Julian Phillips to see more run. The Bulls don't play again until Feb. 20.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Modest production in loss
Williams chipped in eight points (2-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and two rebounds in 20 minutes during Saturday's 132-111 loss to Golden State. Williams has operated off the bench for seven straight games, and while his production was strong at first, he's fallen flat the last two games. Williams' role in the rotation remains safe, but his place in the pecking order for usage seems to be slipping. He's attempted eight or fewer shots in three of his last four games.... See More ... Bulls' Patrick Williams: Best showing in January
Williams recorded 16 points (6-11 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one block in 30 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 122-100 loss to the Celtics. The 16 points tied Coby White to lead the Bulls on the night, and it represented Williams' best scoring effort since he hit for 17 against the Hornets on Dec. 30. The fifth-year forward has come off the bench the last two games as Chicago coach Billy Donovan has rolled with a small-ball lineup of four guards/wings and Nikola Vucevic, and it's not clear how long the experiment might last. However, Williams has seen at least 28 minutes of court time in each contest, so the switch to the second unit doesn't seem to have impacted his workload.... See More ... See Less
