Robinson saw increased run during Wednesday's win over the Cavaliers, as Bam Adebayo (hip) was out. The starting center is questionable again, and it's unclear if the organization plans to call Robinson back up if Adebayo sits.

Heat's Orlando Robinson: Shines in victory Wednesday
Robinson amassed 14 points (6-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 129-96 victory over the Cavaliers.
Robinson played starter-level minutes off the bench in the blowout victory, outplaying fill-in starter Thomas Bryant. With Bam Adebayo (hip) sidelined, it was Robinson who took full advantage of the situation. While it does appear as though he is the third-string center right now, common sense says that he should usurp Bryant at some point. Until then, he can be left alone in all standard formats.

Robinson played two minutes off the bench, tallying one foul and nothing else. Despite having a somewhat fantasy-friendly game, Robinson is simply too far down the pecking order to have any chance at putting up value this season.

Robinson made the most of Bam Adebayo's absence due to a hip problem, and while he didn't start, he outplayed Thomas Bryant by a wide margin. The chances of Robinson playing heavy minutes going forward are slim and will be even more complicated once Adebayo returns to the court. But at the very least, Robinson showed enough to potentially steal some reserve minutes from Bryant going forward.

Robinson's well-rounded performance was the key to Miami's victory. He showed an ability to stretch the floor and score inside while not committing a single turnover. The Heat had three open spots for minimum contracts and decided to use one of them in the big man, who averaged 3.7 points and 4.1 rebounds across 31 appearances during the 2022-23 season with the Heat while also featuring regularly for Sioux Falls in the G League. Plus, having Robinson on a standard deal allows the Heat to use their three two-way spots in Jamal Cain, Dru Smith and Jamaree Bouyea.

Robinson was incredible in the Skyforce's conference final loss, corralling team-highs in points, rebounds and blocks. Robinson made his first appearance with the Skyforce since December after a lengthy stint with the team's parent club and was nothing but incredible. He put together an all-around performance, tying for the team high in assists while posting second-best point and rebound totals. Although his stay in the G League will likely be brief, Robinson should remain a top option for Sioux Falls whenever he is with the team.

Robinson (thumb) finished with two points (1-2 FG), two rebounds and one assist in 11 minutes Wednesday in the Heat's 116-111 win over the Pacers.
Robinson made a speedier-than-expected recovery from a fractured right thumb, missing just two games before reclaiming the backup center role Wednesday. The rookie out of Fresno State is still signed to a two-way deal, but given that he's been a regular in the rotation since mid-December, the Heat will likely upgrade him to a standard NBA contract before the end of the season.
