Henderson (concussion) is out for Sunday's game against the Lakers. A concussion will keep Henderson on the sidelines for the final game of the 2024-25 season. The second-year guard showed some flashes of brilliance throughout the campaign, but his fantasy upside was often limited by his role in the rotation. He ends the campaign with averages of 12.7 points and 5.1 assists per game, and aside from a slight regression compared to his rookie year, he also started in only 10 of his 66 regular-season appearances.... Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Unavailable for Friday
Henderson (concussion) is out for Friday's game against Golden State. Henderson hasn't suited up since March 27, when he was put into the league's concussion protocol. He'll have one final opportunity to play against the Lakers during Sunday's regular-season finale.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Remaining out for Wednesday
Henderson (concussion) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Jazz. Henderson will miss his sixth consecutive contest while going through the league's concussion protocol. The second-year guard's next chance to suit up will come Friday against Golden State, which is Portland's penultimate game of the season.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Remains out for Sunday
Henderson (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Spurs. Henderson will miss a fifth straight game for the Trail Blazers due to a concussion. The second-year guard's next opportunity to get back on the floor for Portland will be Wednesday against the Jazz.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Ruled out for Friday
Henderson (concussion) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Bulls. Henderson is set to miss his fourth consecutive game due to a concussion. In his absence, Dalano Banton has taken on a larger role in the backcourt, which is expected to continue with Henderson still out and Anfernee Simons (forearm) listed as questionable.... See More ... Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Ruled out for Tuesday
Henderson (concussion) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Hawks. Henderson will miss a second straight game due to a concussion he presumably suffered during last Thursday's loss in Sacramento. The backup point guard finished that contest with six points (2-8 FG) and six assists in 24 minutes off the bench. In his absence, Dalano Banton and Matisse Thybulle are candidates for increased playing time.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Strong showing in loss
Henderson posted 18 points (6-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds and six assists in 30 minutes during Tuesday's 122-111 loss to the Cavaliers. Henderson has had a pretty tough month overall, but Tuesday's game was a step in the right direction. Over his last 13 games, Henderson has shot 37.6 percent from the field to go with averages of 13.3 points, 4.2 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.7 three-pointers in 37.6 minutes per game.... See More ... Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Huge night from second unit
Henderson registered 30 points (10-16 FG, 4-4 3Pt, 6-10 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal over 37 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 114-113 overtime loss to the Knicks. The 30 points represented Henderson's best scoring performance since he rained 39 down on the Nets on Jan. 14. The third overall pick in the 2023 Draft has developed a little more consistency of late, scoring in double digits in 11 of the last 12 games and averaging 15.3 points, 4.4 assists, 3.0 boards, 2.1 threes and 1.0 steals over that span, but he's still a long way from living up to his pedigree.... Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Leads team with 22 points
Henderson supplied 22 points (8-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds and three assists across 25 minutes during Friday's 107-89 loss to the Thunder. Although Henderson is unlikely to supplant Anfernee Simons this season, the youngster is clearly Portland's point guard of the future. He was forced into a starting role for 36 games last season, and his numbers have dipped due to a reduced role with the second unit during the 2024-25 season. With Portland's playoff hopes all but eliminated, it would not be surprising to see Henderson take on an expanded role down the stretch.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Provides spark off bench in OT loss
Henderson amassed 15 points (5-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), four rebounds, six assists and one steal across 33 minutes during Sunday's 133-129 overtime loss to Cleveland. Henderson provided a nice spark off the Portland bench Sunday, leading all second unit players in scoring, threes made and assists in an offensive showcase. Henderson has connected on three or more threes in 12 outings, nine of which have come off the bench. He has also connected on three-plus threes in four of his last five appearances.... See More ... Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Game-high nine assists Friday
Henderson totaled 12 points (4-9 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, nine assists, one block and three steals in 27 minutes during Friday's 121-102 win over the Nets. Henderson supplied a full stat line Friday, also reaching double figures in scoring in his fifth straight game. Over his last eight contests, the 2023 lottery pick has averaged 11.6 points, 5.0 assists, 2.1 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 2.1 three-pointers in 25.7 minutes. Turnovers could remain an issue for the second year-guard, however, and Henderson's overall fantasy upside will remain capped while he consistently functions from Portland's second unit as long as Anfernee Simons is healthy.... Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Questionable for Thursday
Henderson (ankle) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Lakers. Henderson missed the Trail Blazers' last game before the All-Star break due to an ankle sprain, and it seems the second-year guard has yet to recover completely from the injury. Henderson is averaging 11.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game since the beginning of February.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Dealing with ankle sprain
Henderson has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets due to a right ankle sprain. Henderson exited Monday's loss to the Nuggets with what has now been diagnosed as a right ankle sprain. The second-year point guard's next chance to play will come after the All-Star break against the Lakers on Feb. 20. With Henderson sidelined, Dalano Banton and Shaedon Sharpe are candidates for an uptick in playing time.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Exits with ankle injury
Henderson won't return to Monday's game against the Nuggets due to a right ankle injury. He totaled six points (2-5 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds and three assists in 25 minutes before leaving. Henderson didn't do much with another chance in the starting lineup, and his night got even worse when he checked out of the game for good with 9:33 remaining in the fourth quarter. The Blazers will likely re-evaluate him Tuesday before deciding on his availability for the team's final game before the All-Star break Wednesday in Denver.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Good to go
Henderson (ankle) is available for Saturday's game against the Timberwolves, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports. Henderson has shaken off a questionable tag and will suit up for a 30th straight game. Over his last seven appearances (one start), he's averaged 15.4 points, 6.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 26.5 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Iffy for Saturday
Henderson (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's game against Minnesota. Henderson is in danger of missing his first contest since Dec. 6 due to right ankle soreness. If the second-year pro is sidelined, Shaedon Sharpe and Dalano Banton could see a bump in minutes. Over his last five outings (one start), Henderson has averaged 14.6 points, 7.0 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 2.0 three-pointers and 1.6 steals across 25.6 minutes per game. He has shot 43.5 percent from beyond the arc in that five-game span.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Pulls down eight boards
Henderson closed with 17 points (7-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt), eight rebounds, five assists and one steal across 28 minutes during Tuesday's 112-89 win over the Pacers. Henderson matched his career-best mark of eight rebounds as the Trail Blazers continued their hot streak -- the team has won nine of their last 10 games. During that stretch, Henderson has been a ninth-round value in nine-category formats with 14.5 points, 5.6 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 2.0 three-pointers.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Shines in starting role
Henderson registered 23 points (7-16 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and two steals across 32 minutes during Thursday's 119-90 victory over Orlando. Henderson returned to the starting lineup due to the absence of Jerami Grant (ankle) and delivered an impressive stat line, showing an improvement compared to the growing pains he endured in his rookie year. The second-year guard averaged 14.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game across 16 appearances in January, including five starts.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Slides back to bench Thursday
Henderson will come off the bench in Thursday's game against the Magic. The second-year pro will retreat to the bench after starting in the club's last two outings with Anfernee Simons and Toumani Camara both missing a matchup. Henderson has started in four of the Trail Blazers' last five outings, during which he has averaged 22.4 points, 7.8 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 34.8 minutes per contest.... See More ... Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Comes close to triple-double
Henderson racked up 25 points (8-15 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 6-8 FT), seven rebounds, eight assists and two steals over 38 minutes during Sunday's 113-102 victory over the Bulls. Henderson moved to the starting lineup for this contest due to the absence of Anfernee Simons (elbow), and the second-year guard extended his impressive stretch of play. Since going scoreless in a loss to the Pistons on Jan. 7, Henderson has scored at least 20 points in four of his last seven contests, averaging 19.6 points, 6.1 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.3 steals per contest....
