Celtics' Jordan Walsh: Called up to NBA squad
Boston recalled Walsh from the G League's Maine Celtics on Monday, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.
With Al Horford (rest) and Derrick White (personal) unavailable, Walsh and JD Davison have been elevated to provide extra depth. Walsh is still looking to make his NBA regular-season debut.

Celtics' Jordan Walsh: Receives third DNP in three games
Rookie Jordan Walsh has yet to receive any playing time over Boston's first three games of the season.
It was particularly distressing to not see Walsh enter Monday's blowout win over the Wizards. The Celtics were up big early, having led 42-19 after the first quarter. Walsh was the only reserve to not play Monday night. The second-round draft pick clearly hasn't earned coach Joe Mazzulla's trust. The rookie might need to play well with the Maine Celtics of the G League before he sees much run with Boston.

Celtics' Jordan Walsh: Near double-double
Walsh tallied 25 points (10-20 FG, 2-7 3PT, 3-6 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and a steal during 31 minutes of Wednesday's 95-90 Summer League win over the Lakers.
Walsh finished with a game high in points while shooting 50 percent from the field, coming up two rebounds shy of a double-double. Though it's been only a few Summer League games, Boston may have gotten a steal in Walsh, who was selected 38th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft.

Celtics' Jordan Walsh: Impresses in NBA debut
Walsh tallied 18 points (6-11 FG, 4-6 3PT, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two steals and one block over 31 minutes of Saturday's 99-88 loss to Miami during Summer League.
Walsh filled the role of a three-and-D wing Saturday, burying a team-high four triples while collecting three steals-plus-blocks. The Arkansas product is primarily known for his high motor and defensive prowess but led the Celtics in points Saturday. Though he'll face stiff competition to crack the rotation for one of basketball's deepest teams, Walsh could find himself playing meaningful minutes early on if he continues to impress.

Celtics' Jordan Walsh: Drafted by Boston in second round
Walsh was selected by the Kings with the 38th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and subsequently traded to the Celtics in exchange for Colby Jones.
Walsh spent just one season in the collegiate ranks and averaged 7.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 24.4 minutes per game at Arkansas. The 19-year-old is an athletic defender with plenty of length, but he could require some time to develop before he sees consistent minutes at the professional level.
