Mitchell accumulated 11 points (5-11 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six assists and four steals across 29 minutes during Saturday's 121-113 win over the Jazz. Mitchell got the start Saturday in place of De'Aaron Fox, who missed the contest due to a hamstring injury. Mitchell couldn't match Fox's typical level of production, but he did fine with 11 points and six assists while racking up four steals. Fox's injury isn't thought to be serious, so Mitchell will likely return to a bench role soon.... See More ... See Less

Kings' Davion Mitchell: Starting for injured Fox
Mitchell will start Saturday's game against the Jazz, Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento reports. With the Kings sitting De'Aaron Fox (hamstring) out of an abundance of caution, Mitchell will get the nod at point guard. In seven starts this season, he's averaged 9.6 points, 3.6 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 29.0 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Davion Mitchell: Scores 13 points in blowout
Mitchell posted 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist across 19 minutes during Tuesday's 132-109 loss to the Celtics. Mitchell sank at least three triples for the sixth time this season and scored more points than he had in his previous five appearances put together. After a strong rookie season, the backup point guard's overall production has significantly dipped this year, but he has improved his efficiency, posting career highs in field-goal, three-point and three-throw percentage.... Kings' Davion Mitchell: Slides back to bench
Mitchell will return to the second unit for Thursday's game against the Knicks. Mitchell saw a spot start his last time out with De'Aaron Fox sidelined due to a hamstring issue but will rejoin the reserves with Fox back in action. In his last four games off the bench, Mitchell has averaged 4.0 points and 2.3 assists across 13.5 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Davion Mitchell: Supplies passable line as starter
Mitchell provided 15 points (6-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt), six assists, one rebound and one steal across 32 minutes in Monday's 123-108 win over the Pelicans. While appearing on the top unit for the second time in four games in place of De'Aaron Fox (hamstring), Mitchell didn't supply an eye-popping line, but his efficient shooting made his overall output better than what he had provided in most of his previous six starts this season. Fox is expected to be back in action for the Kings' next game Thursday versus the Knicks, putting Mitchell in line to move back to the bench while seeing a steep reduction in playing time.... Kings' Davion Mitchell: Starting Monday
Mitchell will enter the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Pelicans with De'Aaron Fox (hamstring) unavailable, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports. Over six starts this season, Mitchell has compiled averages of 8.7 points, 2.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.3 triples and 1.3 turnovers per contest on 46.7 percent shooting. He will draw a favorable matchup against New Orleans, but he's still more of a deep league option.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Davion Mitchell: Plays well in start
Mitchell finished with 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt), one rebound, four assists, one block and one steal in 33 minutes during Tuesday's 123-117 victory over the Thunder. Mitchell was moderately productive Tuesday, sliding into the starting lineup with De'Aaron Fox ruled out due to a wrist injury. Although his numbers won't set the world on fire, this was actually one of Mitchell's best games of the season. Despite having started a handful of games thus far, he typically struggles to have any sort of tangible impact. Until Fox returns to action, Mitchell is at least worth a look in slightly deeper formats.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Davion Mitchell: Gets starting nod
Mitchell is in the starting five for Tuesday's game versus the Thunder, Chris Biderman of The Sacramento Bee reports. Mitchell will replace De'Aaron Fox (wrist) in the starting lineup Tuesday. The second-year guard is averaging 7.4 points, 3.0 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 27.6 minutes across his previous five starts this season.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Davion Mitchell: Two points in 14 minutes
Mitchell amassed two points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and two assists across 14 minutes during Sunday's 124-115 win over the Thunder. Mitchell didn't add much in his time on the floor Sunday night. He may still see double-digit minutes each game, but the young guard really only provides enough fantasy value as a streaming option when the team becomes shorthanded, allowing him to get that added usage. In the meantime, he doesn't need to be rostered in almost any league.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Davion Mitchell: Back to bench
Mitchell will return to the second unit for Monday's game against the Rockets, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports. De'Aaron Fox (personal) is back after a two-game absence, which will prompt Mitchell's return to the second unit, and his value will take a significant hit. The Sacramento starting five will be comprised of Fox, Kevin Huerter, Harrison Barnes, Keegan Murray and Domantas Sabonis on Monday.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Davion Mitchell: Drops dud in spot start
Mitchell totaled three points (1-5 FG, 1-4 3Pt), one rebound and one assist in 22 minutes during Friday's 107-104 loss to the Pacers. Mitchell moved into the starting lineup Friday, taking over for De'Aaron Fox, who was out due to personal reasons. While seen as a potential stream candidate, Mitchell came up empty, continuing a trend of poor production when starting. At this point, he simply isn't an impactful player. Even managers in deeper formats may be better off looking for upside when scouring the waiver wire.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Davion Mitchell: Will start Friday
Mitchell will draw the start Friday against the Pacers, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports. Mitchell was the logical candidate to get the starting nod once it was announced De'Aaron Fox would sit out Friday's tilt, and Kings head coach Mike Brown confirmed has confirmed that will be the case. Mitchell has averaged 8.0 points, 4.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds over 29.0 minutes in his three previous starts this season.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Davion Mitchell: Muted role continues in loss
Mitchell finished with four points (2-3 FG), three rebounds, five assists and one steal in 18 minutes during Saturday's 117-110 loss to the Timberwolves. Mitchell played fewer than 20 minutes for the 10th time in his past 11 games, serving up a giant plate of nothing. For a player known as an elite defensive stopper, Mitchell has been unable to translate that into tangible fantasy production. He is currently averaging just 0.5 steals per game for the season, a number that certainly won't get it done when it comes to fantasy value.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Davion Mitchell: Provides lift off bench
Mitchell supplied 19 points (7-8 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound and one steal in 20 minutes off the bench in Sunday's 132-119 win over the Spurs. Mitchell's 19 points gave him his second-best total of the season and exceeded his scoring production from the previous four games combined. With the Kings having enjoyed better health than any team this season, Mitchell has rarely had the opportunity to seize hold of major minutes for an extended period of time, and he'll likely remain stuck in a limited bench role so long as all of De'Aaron Fox, Kevin Huerter and Malik Monk steer clear of long absences.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Davion Mitchell: Out due to illness
Mitchell is a late scratch for Friday's game against the Pistons due to an illness. There was no indication until an hour and a half before tipoff that Mitchell was at risk of missing Friday's game. It will be his first absence of the season. In his stead, backup point guard minutes should be available for Matthew Dellavedova.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Davion Mitchell: Shifts back to bench
Mitchell will appear off the bench Tuesday versus the Sixers, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports. Mitchell seemed an obvious candidate to return to a bench role, with De'Aaron Fox cleared for a full workload Tuesday. Mitchell should see a slight dip in his workload as a result but shouldn't see a major change in his overall production.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Davion Mitchell: Offers little despite spot start
Mitchell finished Friday's 106-95 win over the Cavaliers with eight points (3-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and six assists over 33 minutes. Mitchell moved into the starting lineup Friday but failed to come through with the goods. He has been relatively disappointing despite a few opportunities to play a more prominent role this season. Until he proves otherwise, Mitchell can safely be left on the waiver wire, even if he sticks in the starting lineup for any length of time.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Davion Mitchell: Gets starting nod
Kings coach Mike Brown said Mitchell is in the starting five for Friday's matchup with Cleveland, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports. Mitchell will move into the starting lineup Friday with De'Aaron Fox (foot) out. The second-year guard will make just his second start of the season.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Davion Mitchell: Meaningful contributions Sunday
Mitchell ended Sunday's 110-101 win over Chicago with nine points (3-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, five assists, one block and three steals over 24 minutes. Mitchell saw a few extra minutes in the win, putting up low-volume contributions across the board. Despite being a constant in the rotation, Mitchell has been unable to translate his defensive upside into fantasy value. He is outside the top 300 for the season, putting him well off the radar when it comes to standard or even deeper formats.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Davion Mitchell: Starting for Fox
Mitchell will start Wednesday's game against the Heat, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports. With De'Aaron Fox (knee) sidelined, Mitchell will join the starting five as expected after recording 23 points, four rebounds and three steals in 31 minutes during Monday's win over the Hornets. Mitchell should continue to operate as the team's starting point guard going forward until Fox is able to return to the court.... See More ... See Less
