  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Modest results in loss

Sabonis chipped in 11 points (3-12 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds and three assists over 31 minutes during Wednesday's 131-117 loss to the Clippers. Sabonis has had some shaky performances on the scoreboard recently, and he's been held below 12 points in three of his last five appearances. While he's generally been able to salvage his fantasy production through his rebounds or assists, he struggled in those areas Wednesday with season-low marks in each category. He's shot just 45.3 percent from the floor over his last five outings, averaging 13.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and 6.4 assists in 34.8 minutes per game.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Dazzles on defense against Wolves

Sabonis closed with 15 points (7-15 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals in 39 minutes before fouling out of Friday's 124-111 win over the Timberwolves. The five steals-plus-blocks were a season high for Sabonis, who also delivered his 12th double-double (plus one triple-double) in 15 games. The 27-year-old big is enjoying a strong start to 2023-24 overall, averaging 19.9 points, 12.3 boards, 7.0 assists, 1.0 blocks, 0.9 steals and 0.5 threes while shooting 62.0 percent from the floor and 41.2 percent from three-point range.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Another stellar outing

Sabonis notched 23 points (8-11 FG, 7-10 FT), nine rebounds, six assists and one block across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 117-112 loss to the Pelicans. Sabonis ended one rebound short of an eighth straight double-double, but it was still another stellar all-around performance for the veteran center. Over his last eight games, Sabonis has averaged 23.5 points, 11.9 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.0 blocks in 36.1 minutes per game. Aside from the rebounds, those would all be Sabonis' career-high marks, so it's clear the lefty big man is playing at an extremely high level to start 2023-24.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Sniffs triple-double in loss

Sabonis registered 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-3 FT), 10 rebounds and eight assists across 31 minutes during Monday's 129-93 loss to the Pelicans. Given how poor the Kings' offense looked in this game, Sabonis delivered a decent performance -- he connected on 50 percent of his shots and ended just two assists away from reaching a triple-double. Fantasy managers would expect better scoring numbers from one of the most productive big men in the league over the last few seasons, but he should be able to bounce back moving forward.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Records another double-double

Sabonis logged 32 points (13-15 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-10 FT), 13 rebounds and six assists across 35 minutes during Sunday's 129-113 victory over the Mavericks. Sabonis had a tough stretch earlier this month but has managed to bounce back admirably, as he has delivered three straight double-doubles while shooting an elite 74.5 percent from the field in that span. The return of De'Aaron Fox has softened the offensive burden on Sabonis' shoulders, but he's thriving as the team's second option behind the electric floor general.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Posts efficient double-double

Sabonis contributed 27 points (9-13 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 14 rebounds, seven assists and one block in 35 minutes during Friday's 129-120 win over San Antonio. Sabonis has been a consistent force for the Kings in recent weeks, as he's posted five consecutive double-doubles while topping 20 points in four of those appearances. During that time, he's averaged 24.6 points, 12.6 rebounds and 9.2 assists in 37.4 minutes per game. Although De'Aaron Fox is back in action in the backcourt, Sabonis' frontcourt role hasn't diminished, and he should continue to be an integral part of the team's plans.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Explodes for another triple-double

Sabonis racked up 29 points (13-19 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 16 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and one block across 39 minutes during Wednesday's 125-110 victory over the Lakers. Sabonis notched his second triple-double in less than a week and his eighth double-double of the season in a convincing victory. He was able to move with little resistance in the interior, as it was apparent that Anthony Davis' hip injury was hindering his mobility somewhat. Sabonis is proving to be almost matchup-proof to begin the season and can easily be considered one of the most productive centers in the league through the first month of the season.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Double-doubles with 10 assists

Sabonis chipped in 23 points (8-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-11 FT), nine rebounds, 10 assists and two blocks across 35 minutes during Monday's 132-120 victory over Cleveland. The hits keep coming for Sabonis, as he was one rebound shy of his second consecutive triple-double. The elite big man is averaging 7.3 assists per game, and thanks to his massive rebound totals, triple-double bonuses are always possible. He's averaging a double-double with 18.0 points and 12.4 rebounds over nine games.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Logs first triple-double of season

Sabonis registered 17 points (7-15 FG, 3-6 FT), 13 rebounds, 13 assists, two blocks and a steal across 38 minutes during Friday's 105-98 win over the Thunder. Sabonis turned in his 15th triple-double with the Kings in the victory. The milestone was just around the corner, as Sabonis has collected more assists than usual amid the absence of De'Aaron Fox. The win makes the Kings 1-0 in West Group C of the In-Season Tournament.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Flirts with triple-double in win

Sabonis registered 27 points (11-14 FG, 5-7 FT), 11 rebounds, nine assists, one block and one steal across 40 minutes during Wednesday's 121-118 overtime win over Portland. Sabonis got back on track after two subpar games in Houston. The much-improved Rockets had an answer for Sabonis, but he outplayed Portland's Deandre Ayton inside and helped out his teammates with nine assists. The increased assists are likely due to De'Aaron Fox's (ankle) absence, as the Kings need more help with ball distribution with Fox out of action.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Limited impact Monday

Sabonis amassed eight points (3-4 FG, 2-3 FT), eight rebounds and five assists across 30 minutes during Monday's 122-97 loss to the Rockets. Sabonis failed to record a double-double for the first time this season, but perhaps more importantly, he was outplayed by Alperen Sengun for the second time in less than a week. Sabonis must bounce back when the Kings take on the Trail Blazers on Wednesday, as the team needs more out of him, especially if De'Aaron Fox (ankle) remains out.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Double-doubles in loss

Sabonis finished with 11 points (5-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-4 FT), 15 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal over 31 minutes during Saturday's 107-89 loss to the Rockets. Sabonis went toe-to-toe with Alperen Sengun in a game where the entire Sacramento starting unit struggled, and while Sabonis had a decent stat line on the surface, he ended up being outplayed by Sengun when common sense dictates it should've been the other way around. Sabonis will continue to rack up stats every game and will remain valuable for fantasy purposes, but he needs to step up and be more of a leader when the team struggles, especially in games where De'Aaron Fox (ankle) is out. For what is worth, Sabonis now has five double-doubles in five outings while dishing out five or more assists in all but one of those performances.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Two assists shy of triple-double

Sabonis accumulated 23 points (8-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-12 FT), 11 rebounds and eight assists over 37 minutes during Wednesday's 102-101 loss to the Warriors. Sabonis was expected to perform well against the undersized Warriors, and he delivered despite the loss. Sabonis has posted double-doubles in every game this season and got perilously close to a triple-double against Golden State. The inflated assist total was likely due to the absence of De'Aaron Fox (ankle). Sabonis is now averaging 19.0 points, 14.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists in 34.8 minutes per game this year.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Logs third straight double-double

Sabonis fouled out of Sunday's 132-127 overtime win over the Lakers after recording 12 points (5-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-3 FT), 15 rebounds, five assists and one steal across 34 minutes. Sabonis fouled out late in the fourth quarter, but he had already left his impression on the game before exiting. Sabonis has had a solid start to the season, averaging 17.7 points, 15.0 rebounds and 5.7 assists over his first three games.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Posts big double-double Friday

Sabonis closed Friday's 122-114 loss to Golden State with 19 points (7-15 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 18 rebounds, seven assists and three steals over 36 minutes. Sabonis led all players with 18 boards in the contest, adding 19 points to notch his second straight double-double to begin the season. The big man also led Sacramento with seven assists, teasing his triple-double potential. Sabonis finished second in the NBA in that category with 14 triple-doubles last season, and he's started the current campaign looking like he hasn't missed a beat with averages of 20.5 points, 15.0 rebounds and 6.0 dimes through two contests.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Starting in season opener

Sabonis (rest) is in the starting five for Wednesday's game versus the Jazz, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports. No surprises here, as Sabonis sat out Sacramento's preseason finale for rest purposes but will suit up Wednesday. Sabonis will replace JaVale McGee in the starting five.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Taking night off

Sabonis (rest) will not play in Thursday's preseason game against the Jazz. Sabonis will get a break after appearing in four preseason games. He looked sharp in those exhibitions, averaging 12.0 points, 10.2 rebounds and 6.0 assists. He should be fresh for Opening Night on Oct. 25 against Utah.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Records another double-double

Sabonis logged 12 points (4-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-8 FT), 10 rebounds and eight assists across 34 minutes in Wednesday's 116-115 preseason loss to the Warriors. Double-doubles will be a regular occurrence for Sabonis, who led the league in double-doubles last season ahead of elites like Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Sabonis' move to Sacramento has turned the Kings into a legit contender, and his first full season with the club exceeded expectations. Unanimous Coach of the Year Mike Brown will keep Sabonis on the floor as much as possible as they attempt to make the playoffs for a second consecutive year.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Delivers double-double

Sabonis finished with 19 points (8-11 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds and five assists across 25 minutes in Sunday's 121-115 preseason overtime loss to the Warriors. Sabonis is an absolute double-double machine, and he keeps racking them up even in the preseason. The star big man has averaged a double-double in each of his last four seasons and aims to keep that streak going in 2023-24 as well.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Dominant in preseason loss

Sabonis recorded 10 points (3-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-7 FT), 16 rebounds and five assists in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 109-101 preseason loss to the Lakers. Sabonis posted a fairly well-rounded stat line during Sunday's preseason opener against the Raptors, but he saw increased playing time Wednesday and posted a solid double-double against the Lakers. The 27-year-old played through a fractured thumb over the second half of the 2022-23 campaign but was still a stellar contributor, averaging 19.1 points, 12.3 rebounds and 7.3 assists in 34.6 minutes per game over 79 appearances. He indicated in early October that he's fully healthy, so it seems unlikely that he'll face any restrictions to begin the regular season.
