  • Bucks' Jae Crowder: Slated to miss two months

Crowder suffered a left adductor and abdominal tear during Saturday's loss to the Magic and will undergo surgery Tuesday, Tim Bontemps of reports. Crowder is expected to miss at least eight weeks. Crowder was already ruled out for Monday's matchup against Chicago, but it appears the injury was more serious than initially anticipated. This is a tough blow to Milwaukee's wing group, which is already shorthanded given Khris Middleton (knee) hasn't been able to handle a full workload to begin the campaign. In Crowder's absence, Bobby Portis, Pat Connaughton and MarJon Beauchamp are candidates for increased bench roles.

Crowder totaled 10 points (3-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 120-118 win over Detroit. Crowder earned a starting nod Wednesday with Khris Middleton (knee) sidelined, finishing as one of seven Bucks players with a double-digit point total in the win. After a bit of a slow start to the season, Crowder has picked up his play as of late, tallying at least 10 points and five rebounds in three straight contests.

Malik Beasley had a quiet evening and Khris Middleton played only 21 minutes as he continues to find his legs, so credit to Crowder for stepping up for the Bucks. Crowder will be rested during Tuesday's preseason game against the Thunder, Justin Garcia of the Milwaukee Bucks Radio Network reports. • Bucks' Jae Crowder: Goes for 14 points in loss

Crowder had 14 points (6-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and a steal across 21 minutes in Tuesday's 108-102 preseason loss to the Grizzlies. The Bucks rested several projected starters in this game, and Crowder took advantage of the opportunity to show what he can do with extended minutes. Preseason stats aren't going to translate to the regular season, though, and Crowder is expected to operate as a frontcourt backup with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton set to occupy the forward spots. Thus, Crowder shouldn't have a lot of fantasy upside once the regular season begins.

  • Bucks' Jae Crowder: Available Thursday

Crowder (calf) will play in Thursday's game against the Celtics, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports. • Bucks' Jae Crowder: Won't play Wednesday

Crowder (calf) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Pacers. Crowder will sit out the first half of a back-to-back set Wednesday, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him back in action Thursday against Boston. Khris Middleton (knee) and Joe Ingles (knee) are both questionable, so Pat Connaughton could be in store for a major role if Middleton and/or Ingles joins Crowder on the sidelines.

Crowder (calf) played 12 minutes and logged two points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist in Monday's 126-117 win over the Pistons. Crowder handled a light role off the bench in his return to action after missing the past five games with left calf soreness. Since joining the Bucks at the trade deadline, Crowder has averaged 18.6 minutes per game over his 11 appearances, so he isn't expected to see a major uptick in playing time even once he's further removed from the calf injury.

  • Bucks' Jae Crowder: Cleared for action

Crowder (calf) is available for Monday's game against the Pistons. As expected, Crowder has been upgraded from probable to available and will suit up for the first time since March 14.
