  • Clippers' Marcus Morris: Offers little in spot start

Morris posted nine points (3-13 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one block and one steal in 25 minutes during Saturday's 112-100 loss to the Suns in Game 4 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals. After re-entering the rotation for the first time in nearly a month and playing 20 minutes in the Clippers' 129-124 loss in Game 3, Morris moved into the starting lineup for Game 4 but wasn't able to provide much of a spark while LA was without Kawhi Leonard (knee) for the second game in a row. With Paul George (knee) already out for the series and Leonard looking questionable at best for Tuesday's Game 5, the Clippers will need a better effort from Morris and some of their other supporting players if they are to stave off elimination.

  • Clippers' Marcus Morris: Loses starting job

Morris (illness) is expected to come off the bench for the Clippers for the remainder of the season once he returns to health, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports. Morris was forced to miss Monday's contest against Chicago due to illness, and Nicolas Batum made the most of his chances by knocking down eight triples to lead the team in scoring. This appears to have been the final straw for head coach Ty Lue, who after the game stated that he expects to roll with Batum as the starting power forward down the stretch.
