  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Drops season-high 28 points

Lowry produced 28 points (9-15 FG, 7-10 3Pt, 3-4 FT), one rebound and three assists in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 129-96 victory over the Cavaliers. Lowry scored a season-high 28 points Wednesday, only the fourth time he has scored in double digits all season. Given he had scored a total of 19 points in his previous four games combined, managers should view this as an outlier. However, he is inside the top 100 for the season, thanks primarily to his steal and assist numbers. He isn't for everyone but should still warrant roster consideration, especially in deeper leagues.

  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Eight points, six assists in win

Lowry closed Monday's 118-100 victory over the Bulls with eight points (3-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt), five rebounds and six assists across 27 minutes. Lowry turned in a serviceable performance Monday, continuing his meaningful start to the season. With the Heat very short on point guard options, Lowry has been able to carve out consistent minutes at a time when many thought he might fade quietly into the background. He is far from the player he once was, but as long as he is starting, Lowry warrants attention as an assists streamer at the very least.

  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Plagued by fouls

Lowry amassed zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound and two assists over 15 minutes during Tuesday's 111-105 win over Charlotte. Lowry picked up two fouls before the first minute of play had concluded. Finishing with four fouls in just 15 minutes, he was never able to establish a rhythm Tuesday. Lowry is a candidate to return to his normal workload Thursday against Brooklyn.

  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Not listed on injury report

Lowry (rest) isn't listed on Miami's injury report for Tuesday's matchup against the Hornets, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Lowry sat out Sunday's win over San Antonio for rest purposes, but he'll be back in action Tuesday. Over his last eight appearances, the veteran point guard has averaged 9.0 points, 5.5 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 31.1 minutes per game.

  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Ruled out Sunday

Lowry has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Spurs due to rest purposes, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. The Heat are playing the second half of a back-to-back set Sunday, so Lowry will miss his first game of the season despite not being on the team's initial injury report. Miami will be shorthanded in the backcourt Sunday with Tyler Herro (ankle) and Caleb Martin (knee) also out, so Dru Smith and Duncan Robinson could see plenty of run.

  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Scores 17 once again

Lowry ended Saturday's 117-109 victory over the Hawks with 17 points (4-8 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 5-5 FT), two rebounds, four assists and one steal in 33 minutes. Lowry struggled offensively in the opening weeks of the season, but it seems he's turning a corner after putting up 17 points in back-to-back games. The veteran floor general needs to keep this scoring pace up to remain valuable in fantasy since he's also averaging 5.1 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.3 steals per contest.

  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Sniffs triple-double in win

Lowry finished Wednesday's 108-102 victory over the Grizzlies with 17 points (5-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 11 rebounds, nine assists and one steal in 35 minutes. Lowry bounced back from five straight games with single-digit scoring numbers and delivered his best outing of the season by a wide margin, posting season-high numbers across the board and finishing just one assist shy of a triple-double. Lowry holds a secondary role in the offensive scheme and should be Miami's third-best option in a best-case scenario behind Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, but he's still more than capable of putting up strong performances from time to time.

  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Struggles against Lakers

Lowry logged five points (2-6 FG, 1-5 3Pt), four rebounds, five assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Monday's 108-107 victory over the Lakers. Lowry is clearly past his prime and is not contributing enough, particularly in the scoring column, to be a factor in most fantasy formats. The veteran is averaging only 5.4 points per game while shooting 40 percent from the field. That said, he can still have value in category-based formats since he's putting up 4.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.4 steals per contest as well.

  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Balanced showing as floor general

Lowry accumulated 13 points (5-7 FG, 3-4 3Pt), eight rebounds, five assists and one block across 32 minutes during Friday's 119-111 loss to Boston. Lowry finished second on the team in rebounds and assists while finishing as one of four Heat players with a double-digit point total in Friday's loss. Lowry, who has played 32 minutes in each game so far, responded strong from a scoreless outing Wednesday in the regular-season opener against Detroit, posting strong marks in scoring, rebounds and assists.

  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Remains in starting lineup

Lowry will start Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Pistons. Lowry started a few preseason games with Jimmy Butler out, but his role wasn't clear heading into the regular season. Caleb Martin (knee) is expected to be limited, so once he's back to 100 percent, he could replace Lowry in the starting lineup.

  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Starting against Rockets

Lowry is in the starting lineup for Friday's preseason game against the Rockets, Jackson Gatlin of Locked on Rockets reports. Lowry was given the night off for rest Wednesday, but he's not dealing with any injuries. It remains to be seen if he'll be the starting point guard on Opening Night, but he figures to play around 20 minutes regardless of his role.

Lowry (rest) won't play in Wednesday's preseason game against the Nets, Tim Reynolds of Associated Press reports. Lowry is one of a handful of players sitting for Miami. • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Absent from injury report

Lowry (rest) isn't listed on the injury report for Sunday's preseason matchup against Memphis. Lowry didn't travel with the team to San Antonio for Friday's preseason matchup, but he's back in the starting lineup Sunday. However, the veteran point guard shouldn't play more than 20-25 minutes.

  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Won't travel with team

Lowry won't play in Friday's preseason game against the Spurs, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. There hasn't been an indication that Lowry is dealing with an injury, so he's likely sitting out Friday's matchup for rest purposes. It's not yet clear whether he'll begin the regular season as Miami's starting point guard, but his next chance to prove his case during the preseason will be Sunday against the Grizzlies.

  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Uncertain to start in 2023-24

Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra was non-committal Tuesday about Lowry being the team's starting point guard entering the regular season, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. After returning from an extended absence due to a knee injury in late March of last season, Lowry made his final 11 appearances of the regular season off the bench while the Heat stuck with Gabe Vincent as their starting point guard. Though Vincent signed with the Lakers in the offseason and wasn't directly replaced, Lowry looks as though he may have to fend off Tyler Herro for the starting gig at point guard. Herro has seen the majority of his minutes at shooting guard throughout his career, but if the Heat are comfortable with his playmaking and ability to initiate the offense, he could end up manning the point while Lowry comes off the bench and Josh Richardson likely settles into a starting role on the wing. Before settling on a starting point guard for opening night, expect Spoelstra to experiment with different lineup configurations during the preseason.

  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Near double-double off bench

Lowry contributed 12 points (4-13 FG, 4-9 3Pt), nine rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals in 34 minutes during Monday's 94-89 loss to the Nuggets in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Lowry accepted his bench role with grace and was an integral part of Miami's run to the Finals by leading the second unit. He wasn't a prolific producer during the playoffs, but his contributions always seemed to be timely. Across 23 postseason appearances, Lowry averaged 9.2 points, 4.4 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals with 42/37/93 shooting splits.

  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Modest production in loss

Lowry posted eight points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals across 18 minutes during Saturday's 104-103 loss to the Celtics in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals. With Gabe Vincent (ankle) back in the starting lineup, Lowry returned to his usual bench role for Game 6. The veteran guard scored his most points since Game 1 and recorded tallies in each defensive category for the third time during the Eastern Conference Finals, but his fantasy upside remains limited due to his current spot in Miami's rotation.

  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Returns to bench

Lowry will rejoin the reserves for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Lowry drew a spot start in Game 5 but managed just five points and two rebounds over 30 minutes. With Gabe Vincent (ankle) healthy and back in action, Lowry will be pushed back to his typical bench role in which he averaged 6.8 points, 4.5 assists and 4.3 rebounds across 25.2 minutes per game from Games 1 through 4.

  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Struggles in start Thursday

Lowry closed Thursday's 110-97 loss to the Celtics in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals with five points (2-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist over 30 minutes. Lowry moved into the starting lineup with Gabe Vincent (ankle) ruled out but failed to make the most of his opportunity. Despite the final score being a moderate 13-point margin, the Heat were never really in this one, allowing the Celtics to edge closer to leveling the series. Vincent's status for Game 6 is unknown at this point, but should he be forced to miss the game, Lowry would likely remain in the opening unit.

  • Heat's Kyle Lowry: Starting sans Vincent

Lowry will start Thursday's Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals versus Boston, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Lowry will draw the start for Thursday's tilt with Gabe Vincent (ankle) sidelined. Though Lowry has been coming off the bench in the playoffs, he has been able to make an impact with the second unit, averaging 6.8 points, 4.5 assists and 4.3 rebounds over 25.2 minutes per game in the Eastern Conference Finals.
