The Los Angeles Times reports that the Clippers have agreed to a two-year deal under the Bi-Annual exception for Lakers free agent guard Jordan Farmar.

The Clippers lost free agent Darren Collison to the Kings earlier this week, but Farmar represents what could be considered an upgrade. Farmar averaged 10.1 points and 4.9 assists per game in just 22 minutes per game last season for the Lakers. He played in just 41 games as part of the rash of injuries the Lakers suffered.
He shot just 42 percent from the field, but is a bigger, more capable defender and better playmaker. He should thrive in Doc Rivers' system behind Chris Paul, and is a very capable shooter, nailing 44 percent of his threes last season.
The Clippers had been pursuing Nets free agent Paul Pierce. No word on if this deal will limit those efforts which the Nets have largely rejected through declining various sign-and-trade options. Farmar turns 28 next season.
