Recently signed to a 10-day contract, guard Jabari Brown is doing everything he can to prove he belongs on the Lakers' roster.

Brown, who didn't make the Lakers' roster out of camp, scored nine points off the bench in Sunday's 91-86 loss to the Hawks. Coach Byron Scott said it was a good sign to see the young guard show more aggressiveness on the court, too.

“He is one of those guys next year who will belong in this league,” Scott said, via Inside the Lakers. “He guards people and is a tough kid. Offensively, he takes what you give him. He makes good decisions too, which is important. So I think he has a place in this league.”

With guard Nick Young still dealing with a knee injury, it's possible Brown signs a second 10-day contract. From there, Brown will hope to earn a spot for the rest of the season.

“I’m a player who can help them moving forward,” Brown said. “I’m a guy you can put in, help bring in energy, and make good things happen.”
