  • Nationals' Jeremy De La Rosa: Makes return from IL

High-A Wilmington reinstated De La Rosa (shoulder) from its 7-day injured list Wednesday.

De La Rosa made starts Wednesday and Thursday, going 1-for-8 with a double, a walk and a run scored. The outfielder had been on Wilmington's IL all season but was given the green light to join the High-A club after he completed a 16-game rehab assignment with Single-A Fredericksburg.

  • Nationals' Jeremy De La Rosa: Out with shoulder injury

De La Rosa will open the year on the injured list due to a shoulder injury, Sam Dykstra of MLB.com reports.

De La Rosa isn't much of a prospect anymore, as he was cast off the Nationals' 40-man roster this past offseason and was below league average as a hitter (91 wRC+) in 93 games last season at High-A Wilmington. Now 22, De La Rosa could be assigned to High-A or Double-A this season.

  • Nationals' Jeremy De La Rosa: Outrighted to Triple-A

De La Rosa cleared waivers Friday and was sent outright to Triple-A Rochester, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

De La Rosa has yet to advance past High-A ball in his professional career, so it's likely he returns to High-A Wilmington or moves up to Double-A Harrisburg to begin 2024. The 21-year-old outfield prospect slashed .240/.324/.361 with 42 RBI across 383 plate appearances with Wilmington this season and no longer holds a spot on the 40-man roster.

  • Nationals' Jeremy De La Rosa: Optioned to Double-A

De La Rosa was optioned to Double-A Harrisburg by the Nationals on Friday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Double-A will mark the highest level De La Rosa has reached in his young career. The 21-year-old outfield prospect split time last season between Single-A and High-A ball, slashing .280/.358/.436 between the two levels.

  • Nationals' Jeremy De La Rosa: Added to 40-man

De La Rosa was added to the Nationals' 40-man roster Tuesday.

The 20-year-old outfielder has yet to play beyond the High-A level in his young career. However, De La Roza slashed .315/.394/.505 in Single-A Fredericksburg, which is all the Nationals need to feel comfortable stashing him on their 40-man roster as he works up their farm system.

  • Nationals' Jeremy De La Rosa: Promoted to High-A

De La Rosa was promoted to High-A Wilmington on Tuesday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.

De La Rosa had an impressive performance at Single-A Fredericksburg to begin the season, slashing .315/.394/.505 with 10 homers, 57 RBI, 56 runs and 25 stolen bases. He made his debut in Wilmington on Tuesday and will attempt to replicate his success against the higher level of competition.
