Yankees' Cam Schlittler: Punches out 10 in Game 1
Schlittler (1-0) earned the win in Game 1 of the AL Wild Card Series against the Red Sox on Tuesday. He struck out 10 and allowed two hits and one walk across 6.1 scoreless innings.
The right-hander registered 24 whiffs while throwing a career-high 117 pitches, 77 of which went for strikes. Schlittler prevented Boston from even reaching second base against him as he continued his September dominance, which saw him post a 1.20 ERA, 0.63 WHIP and 38:7 K:BB in 30 frames over his last five starts of the regular season. If the Yankees can punch their ticket to the ALDS, Schlittler tentatively lines up to start Game 2 against the Rays.

Yankees' Cam Schlittler: Starting Game 1 of Wild Card Series
Schlittler will start against the Red Sox on Tuesday in Game 1 of the American League Wild Card Series.
There had been some talk that New York might go with lefty Max Fried in the series opener, but manager Aaron Boone ultimately settled on Schlittler as his Game 1 starter. Schlittler is the favorite to win the AL Cy Young Award after he went 14-6 with a 1.95 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 239:49 K:BB over 193.2 innings for the Yankees during the regular season.

Yankees' Cam Schlittler: Lighter workload in no-decision
Schlittler took a no-decision Thursday against the Rays, striking out five while allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks in three innings.
With the postseason looming, the Yankees took it easy on the American League Cy Young frontrunner Thursday. Schlittler tossed just 70 pitches Thursday, setting him up to draw the start in the American League Wild Card Series. Schlittler completes a fabulous regular season that saw him post a 1.95 ERA, which is the third best in Yankees history, 0.92 WHIP and 239:49 K:BB over 193.2 innings.

Yankees' Cam Schlittler: Fans six in no-decision
Schlittler didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Diamondbacks after allowing three runs (one earned) on three hits and three walks while striking out six over six innings.
Schlittler was uncharacteristically wild in this one. Even though he held Arizona hitless through four innings, his own throwing error contributed to two unearned runs on Jordan Lawlar's two-out triple in the fifth. He received a 3-2 lead in the sixth but issued consecutive walks before Corbin Carroll's sacrifice fly tied the game. The three walks were his highest output since he issued five across 5.2 innings against Boston on Aug. 28, but he still posted a quality start. Schlittler, who has had a dominant season across the board, owns a 1.94 ERA and 234:47 K:BB across 32 starts and 190.2 innings in 2026. He's expected to make his final start of the season next week at home against the Orioles.

Yankees' Cam Schlittler: Twirls gem in 14th win
Schlittler (14-6) notched the win Sunday against the Mets, allowing one hit and two walks in six scoreless innings. He struck out eight.
Schlittler was dominant for the Yankees on Sunday, keeping the crosstown rivals out of the hit column until the fifth inning. It's worth noting the star right-hander was hit by a Bo Bichette comebacker to finish the sixth inning and headed directly to the clubhouse, per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com, but his day was likely finished anyway after he threw 94 pitches. He'll look to extend his streak of starts with one run or zero allowed to eight his next time out in Arizona, where he'll take a 1.95 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 228:44 K:BB over 184.2 innings.

Yankees' Cam Schlittler: Punches out 10 in dominant win
Schlittler (13-6) came away with the win Tuesday against the Rockies, allowing one run on three hits while striking out 10 across seven innings. He did not issue a walk.
The only blemish on Schlitter's line was a solo home run by Adael Amador in the third inning, but it was an otherwise spectacular outing for the American League Cy Young candidate. It was the fourth time this season (and third since the All-Star break) that Schlitter logged double-digit strikeouts, and he's allowed one run or zero in eight of his last nine starts. Among qualified starters this season, the Yankees right-hander ranks second in ERA (2.01), fourth in both WHIP (0.92) and opposing average (.189) and fifth in strikeouts (220) over 178.2 innings. Schlittler's next start is tentatively slated for this weekend at home against the Mets.
