Mets' Dedniel Nunez: Back with Mets
The Mets recalled Nunez from Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.
Nunez allowed one run in two innings during his MLB debut against Atlanta on April 9, and he has thrown 7.1 scoreless frames this season in the minors. He'll return to the big leagues to replace Drew Smith (shoulder), who was placed on the 15-day IL in a corresponding move.

Mets' Dedniel Nunez: Sent back to minors
The Mets optioned Nunez to Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Nunez allowed one run over two innings in his major-league debut Tuesday in Atlanta and was immediately sent back down after the game. Tyler Jay was called up from Syracuse and will take Nunez's spot in the bullpen.

Mets' Dedniel Nunez: Playing for Double-A club
Nunez (elbow) was activated from Triple-A Syracuse's 7-day injured list Thursday and assigned to Double-A Binghamton.
Nunez opened the season on the IL while he continued to recover from the Tommy John surgery he underwent last March. The 26-year-old righty made 10 rehab appearances -- including seven with Binghamton -- before the Mets ultimately chose to activate him and have him stick around with the Double-A affiliate. He's now made eight appearances with Binghamton spanning eight innings, giving up five earned runs on 10 hits and nine walks while striking out 12.

Nunez was pulled from a game last Friday with what was originally called "wrist pain" but which is evidently something much more serious. A typical recovery timeline would see him return to game action sometime in the middle of the 2022 season.
