Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Headed back to Padres camp
Kim will rejoin San Diego for spring training in Arizona with Korea eliminated from the World Baseball Classic, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Though Kim went just 3-for-16 during WBC play, all three of his hits left the park, and he tallied five runs along with six RBI. He also struck out just one time and walked twice. Kim should resume playing in Cactus League contests shortly as he prepares to open the regular season as the Padres' starting second baseman.

Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Absent from Wednesday's lineup
Kim isn't starting Wednesday against the Giants, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Kim is in the midst of a three-game hitting streak in which he's gone 5-for-11 with a homer, a double, three RBI, two runs and a stolen base. He'll get a breather while Jake Cronenworth starts at shortstop and bats cleanup.

Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Goes deep Sunday
Kim went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the White Sox.
Kim accounted for San Diego's only run in the loss with his 416-foot solo shot to left field in the seventh inning. It was his 11th homer of the campaign and his first extra-base hit of any kind since Sept. 25. Kim has posted a .249/.322/.380 slash line along with 57 RBI, 57 runs and 11 stolen bases over 148 games in his second major-league season.

Kim went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Friday's 3-1 loss to the White Sox.
Kim hit just .207 (19-for-92) in September, adding three home runs, four doubles, seven RBI, eight runs scored and two steals in 25 contests. The shortstop nonetheless has maintained a near-everyday role. He's at a .248/.320/.375 slash line with 11 steals, 10 homers, 56 RBI and 56 runs scored through 146 games this season.

Kim delivered hitting out of the leadoff spot Sunday. He recorded three hits for the second time in his last 10 games, during which he is batting .316 with two home runs, five RBI and seven runs scored. He is slashing .252/.322/.382 through 142 contests on the season.

Kim went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-0 win against St. Louis.
Kim produced the only long ball in the contest, going deep to left field in the fourth inning. It was his second homer in his past four games and his 10th of the season. Kim recently underwent an 0-for-18 slump at the plate but has bounced back by going 6-for-18 over his subsequent five contests.
