White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Headed to Arizona for rehab
Moncada (adductor) plans to head to extended spring training in the coming days to continue his rehab, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
Moncada is just over a week removed from suffering a left adductor strain but is already feeling much better. The process will be deliberate, though, as he's on the 60-day injured list and isn't expected to return to action until around the All-Star break.

White Sox general manager Chris Getz said Friday that the club is optimistic Moncada (adductor) can return sometime after the All-Star break, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.
Moncada was given an initial timetable of 3-to-6 months to return from an adductor strain, and it sounds like he'll have a shot to make it back closer to the early side of that timeline. The third baseman was shifted to the 60-day injured list Friday. Lenyn Sosa has assumed third base duties for the White Sox.

The White Sox placed Moncada on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a left adductor strain. He's expected to be out for 3-to-6 months.
The strain is evidently of the Grade 2 or 3 variety, given that the White Sox are expecting a long-term stay on the shelf for Moncada. It's yet another injury for a player that has been plagued by chronic back and leg issues over the last two seasons. Lenyn Sosa and Braden Shewmake could be in line for more playing time in the infield while Moncada is sidelined.

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Playing through hip/groin issue
Moncada has been playing through some minor hip/groin soreness in recent days, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
It's worrisome, given that Moncada has dealt with chronic issues to his lower half over the last two seasons. For now, though, it appears he'll continue to play through it, and he's off to a solid start that includes a .270/.357/.405 slash line over his first 10 games.

Moncada was removed from Tuesday's game against the Guardians with a left adductor strain.
Moncada suffered the injury running out a grounder during the second inning and appeared to be in significant pain before being helped off the field. The 28-year-old was reported to be playing through minor groin/hip soreness of late, which seems likely to be the cause of Tuesday's injury.

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Will bat second this season
White Sox manager Pedro Grifol said earlier this month that Moncada will serve as the team's No. 2 hitter this season, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.
Moncada mostly hit fourth or fifth during his injury-shortened 2023 season but will slide up to the No. 2 spot to start the 2024 campaign. He'll be preceded by Andrew Benintendi and likely followed by Luis Robert, Eloy Jimenez and Andrew Vaughn. Moncada has battled through chronic back and leg problems the past two seasons but is fully healthy this spring and has slashed .348/.464/.435 during Cactus League play.
