O'Koyea Dickson: Cut by Dodgers
Dickson (shoulder) was cut by the Dodgers on Monday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports. Dickson spent most of his time with Triple-A Oklahoma City last season, hitting .246/.328/.484 with 24 homers in 116 games. He saw time with the big club as a September callup, but failed to impress in his little playing time (1-for-7) before injuring his shoulder. He'll likely need to prove his shoulder is fully healthy before he's able to find a deal for next season.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' O'Koyea Dickson: Placed on 60-day disabled list
Dickson was placed on the 60-day disabled list Friday with a shoulder injury, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports. The Dodgers were in need of a 40-man roster spot, so they decided to remove Dickson from the list by adding him to the 60-day disabled list. It's not clear how long he will need to recover from his injury, so it remains to be seen if he will be ready for spring training.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' O'Koyea Dickson: Joins Dodgers on Friday
Dickson was called up by the Dodgers on Friday. Dickson is set to make his major-league debut in the near future after spending the entirety of this season with Triple-A Oklahoma City. During 116 games with the minor-league club, he's slashed .246/.328/.484 with 24 home runs and 76 RBI. Although it's unlikely that Dickson sees a lot of playing time, the Dodgers will want to see if he can perform at the big-league level.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' O'Koyea Dickson: .338/.393/.621 for Triple-A Oklahoma City
Dickson is batting .338/.393/.621 in 145 at-bats for Triple-A Oklahoma City. He's missed time with injuries, but when he's been in the lineup, Dickson has been obviously doing quite well. At 26, he's probably a Quad-A type guy right now, but he could get a cup of coffee this year.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers option catcher Barnes; re-assign Dickson, Arruebarrena
The Dodgers have optioned catcher Austin Barnes to Triple-A Oklahoma City, the team announced. Barnes hit .182 this spring with two hits in 11 at-bats. He also stole four bases. The team has also re-assigned infielders O'Koyea Dickson and Erisbel Arruebarrena to their minor league camp. Dickson hit .357 with two home runs and three RBI in 11 games this spring.
