Seager was one of five Texas batters to log multiple hits in the contest. He has hits in both games thus far after being limited to eight plate appearances during spring training due to a groin injury.

Seager, who missed most of the Cactus League with a groin injury, increased his activity from Sunday's spring debut. He went from two to three at-bats and three to six innings. Seager has been taking live batting practice since March 18, and the Rangers aren't ruling out the shortstop for Opening Day. He had a couple of injuries in 2023 and returned quickly from each. Seager only played in three games with Double-A Frisco during a rehab assignment after a hamstring strain and did not require a rehab assignment after a thumb sprain.
