Rough ending to a 2-4 trip through HOU and DET. Back to SD where the Rays visit for three games, beginning Friday.

AJ Cassavell@AJCassavell1D agoAmong Padres whose first five appearances with the club were all starts, Nick Pivetta's 1.20 ERA in those five starts is the best in franchise history. Joe Musgrove previously held that mark with a 1.24 ERA through five starts (including his no-hitter) in 2021.

The Padres recorded their seventh team shutout -- the first team since the '92 Braves with seven shutouts through 24 games.
