The Rangers are going to be aggressive on the trade market now that Colby Lewis has been lost for the season, according to ESPN’s Buster Olney.

The team is looking for elite talent. CBSSports.com’s Jon Heyman has linked both Zack Greinke and Cole Hamels to the Rangers. Heyman also noted that Phillies pitcher Cliff Lee does not have the Rangers on his no-trade list.

The Rangers don’t necessarily have to worry, however, as they have strong pitching depth. The Rangers rotation will consist of Matt Harrison, Yu Darvish and Derek Holland. The fourth spot should be filled by Roy Oswalt, provided his back injury isn’t serious. The team has already called up prospect Martin Perez to fill in for Lewis, but also has Neftali Feliz, who is currently on a rehab assignment. And if they aren’t comfortable with either of those guys, the Rangers could choose to stretch out Alexi Ogando, who was very effective as a starter in 2011.
