Clayton Kershaw

Dodgers lefty Clayton Kershaw said Friday that he is still feeling weak and unable to eat, but is "pretty sure" he'll be able to make his next start on Tuesday.

Kershaw left Thursday's opener in San Diego after three innings because of illness.

"After I cam out I tried to go back to the hotel, but I couldn't get up," Kershaw told reporters (via MLB.com). "I threw up in the eighth inning and felt good enough to shower and get out of here. Last night was not much fun. I feel better now."

Kershaw said during warmups, he looked around the field at Petco Park to find a place "where I could throw up."

The 2011 National League Cy Young winner is scheduled to start the Dodgers' home-opener Tuesday against Kevin Correia and the Pirates.
