Teams with three games: Atlanta, Boston, Buffalo Carolina, Chicago, Colorado, Columbus, Dallas, Los Angeles, Minnesota, Nashville, N.Y. Islanders, Ottawa, Philadelphia, Phoenix, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Toronto, Washington
Teams with two games: Anaheim, Edmonton Pittsburgh

Editors Note: Projections are for Feb. 9-15 games and all stats are through Thursday

This week's news and notes for each team:

Anaheim Ducks: Corey Perry took the team lead with 19 goals after his third two-goal effort in the last nine games Thursday against the Predators. Perry is one goal ahead of Ryan Getzlaf and two ahead of rookie winger Bobby Ryan, who has gone four games without a goal after connecting in five consecutive contests. Teemu Selanne (15), Chris Kunitz (14) and Rob Niedermayer (11) are other Ducks double-figure scorers ... Ducks goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere made his first appearance since Jan. 21 Thursday. Coach Randy Carlyle said he is going to be patient with Giguere and let him work out his personal issues after his father died in mid-December. Giguere is 1-6-2 in 10 appearances since his father passed away. It's probably a safer bet to start Jonas Hiller over Giguere heading into Week 19 ... Samuel Pahlsson is out at least two weeks with a viral infection ... Injured defenseman Francois Beauchemin, who has been out since Nov. 14 with a torn ACL, began light skating Jan. 28. It leaves the possibility of Beauchemin returning this season, but Fantasy owners don't need to worry because it could be very late in the year ... Anaheim plays just twice Week 19, but they face two teams in the bottom 10 for defense -- Calgary (2.98 GAA) and Atlanta (3.50).

Atlanta Thrashers: Rookie defenseman Zach Bogosian, who missed a big chunk of the early season with a broken leg, took a stick to the face Tuesday against the Rangers compliments of his own goalie -- Kari Lehtonen. But he remained in the game and dodged a serious injury ... Ilya Kovalchuk missed an empty-net goal Tuesday, but had a season-high nine scores in January. He led Atlanta with 13 points. Rich Peverley was second with 12 and Todd White was third with 10 ... Slava Kozlov had a team-worst minus-8 rating in January ... Eric Boulton had a team-high 40 penalty minutes last month.

Boston Bruins: The CT scan on Milan Lucic's foot came back clean and the rugged left winger should be a fine start heading into Week 19 ... Michael Ryder took a stick to the face late in Thursday's win against the Senators, but appears to be OK. He is also a low-risk start Week 19 ... Manny Fernandez, who has not played since Jan. 8 because of a back injury, has been deemed physically fit to play. Tim Thomas has started 12 of the last 13 games for Boston ... Defenseman Dennis Wideman has four goals and four assists during a seven-game point streak before it ended Thursday ... Blake Wheeler had his first goal in six games Thursday and just his second in 18 outings ... The Bruins have a tough slate of games Week 19. They face the Sharks, Devils and Predators. All three teams rank in the top 10 for defense and have GAAs 2.76 or better. Consider benching your Boston skaters.

Buffalo Sabres: The Sabres have begun to put back the pieces on defense. Teppo Numminen returned from a fractured jaw Wednesday against Toronto. Jaroslav Spacek returned from a hip injury Friday against the Canadiens. And Andrej Sekera appears ready to return from an ankle injury ... Jochen Hecht returned from a head injury Friday after missing two games ... It wasn't as good news for Paul Gaustad, who will miss several weeks with an upper-body injury sustained Wednesday ... Maxim Afinogenov skated on his own Thursday, but is still out indefinitely ... Thomas Vanek recorded the fifth hat trick of his career Wednesday, and it was his fourth straight natural hat trick (three straight goals in a game). He became the second player in NHL history to have four straight natural hat tricks, joining Cy Denneny ... Tim Connolly has eight goals and three assists in his last eight games ... Drew Stafford has five goals in his last five outings ... Buffalo is home for three games Week 19. They rank 19th in home GFA (2.76).

Calgary Flames: Defenseman Jim Vandermeer has gone back on injured reserve because of lingering pain in his injured ankle. Vandermeer, who broke his ankle Nov. 9, returned to the lineup in mid-January, but only made a few appearances before bowing out again ... Michael Cammalleri had an outstanding January with a team-high 11 goals and 14 points. Jarome Iginla, who scored just once last month, and Daymond Langkow were second with 10 points in 11 games ... Defenseman Dion Phaneuf scored just twice on 41 shots in January ... Calgary has four games Week 19 with three away from home. The Flames are averaging just 2.52 goals per game on the road (20th).

Carolina Hurricanes: All-Star forward Eric Staal had to leave Thursday's game against the Sharks because of a lower-body injury, believed to be a tight hamstring. Coach Paul Maurice said it was a precautionary move. Staal isn't expected to go on IR and is just day-to-day. If he doesn't dress Saturday against the Coyotes, he remains an injury-risk start heading into Week 19 ... Scott Walker went on IR Thursday with an upper-body injury that has bothered him for some time ... Rod Brind'Amour has been bothered by a lower-body injury and was sent home from the team's current road trip. He might not play again until Thursday against the Panthers, so keep Brind'Amour reserved in Fantasy until further notice ... Goalie Cam Ward started 17 straight games before Michael Leighton was in net Thursday. Don't worry, Maurice just wanted to give Ward a day off. He is still his No. 1 netminder ... Matt Cullen has three goals and four assists during a four-game point streak ... No Carolina player managed 10 or more points in January. Cullen led the way with nine and Ray Whitney was second with eight points in 13 games ... Carolina has games against Florida, Columbus and Buffalo Week 19. All three teams have GAAs 2.78 or better. Consider benching your Carolina skaters.

Chicago Blackhawks: Despite coach Joel Quenneville officially naming Nikolai Khabibulin his starter, Khabibulin and his partner in the nets, Cristobal Huet, have both started 25 times this season. The Winter Classic is the only one in which both played. Quenneville admits that both Khabibulin and Huet deserve to play more. But since they seem to be splitting time, neither goalie is better than a No. 2 Fantasy option ... Brian Campbell leads NHL defenseman in assists (20) and points (24) on the road ... Brent Seabrook has appeared in 181 consecutive games, the longest streak among Blackhawks after Duncan Keith's streak of 273 ended in January ... Defenseman Aaron Johnson has been a healthy scratch for six straight games. The 26-year-old defenseman will be a free agent after the season ... Dave Bolland has three goals and four assists during a five-game point streak ... Defenseman Matt Walker, who is still without a goal, tallied three assists Thursday against the Flames. He had all of four in his previous 37 outings ... Andrew Ladd scored his first goal in 14 games Thursday ... Chicago takes on Atlanta, Dallas and St. Louis Week 19. All three teams rank in the bottom five for defense. Consider starting your Chicago skaters.

Colorado Avalanche: Cody McLeod picked up his 12th goal in 52 games Thursday against the Stars. He had all of four goals in 49 games last season. Only Milan Hejduk (20) and Ryan Smyth (16) have more goals. McLeod has stepped up in recent weeks for Colorado, with five goals and four assists in his last 11 games ... Hejduk reached the 20-goal plateau for the ninth straight season when he scored Thursday. He has five goals and an assist during a four-game point streak ... Marek Svatos has collected three goals in the past two games and five goals in seven games after scoring once in the previous 11 outings ... Tyler Arnason has collected three assists in two games since getting benched Jan. 31 against Anaheim. Arnason still can't buy a goal. He has one goal in his past 40 games and three goals in 50 games ... Defenseman Adam Foote (triceps) is practicing with the team, but still has no timetable for his return ... Paul Stastny (forearm) is doing some light skating and stick-handling. He could take part in non-contact drills within the week. However, he is not a recommended start heading into Week 19 ... Peter Budaj has won his last two starts and could be ready to wrangle the starting job back from Andrew Raycroft ... Colorado is on the road for three of their four games Week 19. They rank 28th in road GFA (2.13). Consider benching your Colorado skaters.

Columbus Blue Jackets: Columbus is in a very sticky situation with rookie goalie Steve Mason, who has mononucleosis. They are treating him as a day-to-day candidate. He will play when he feels right, but won't be active if he is feeling groggy. That doesn't help in Fantasy since it's like playing Russian roulette. Until Mason is 100 percent healthy, Fantasy owners have to consider him a risky start on a weekly basis ... Defenseman Rostislav Klesla (broken foot) returned from an 11-game absence Tuesday against the Blues. With foot, wrist and ankle injuries this season, Klesla missed 31 of the club's first 50 games ... Nikita Filatov was sent to Syracuse of the AHL Tuesday. He had been on IR with a lower-body injury ... Fedor Tyutin (29), Marc Methot (21) and Derek Dorsett (26) all had 20-plus penalty minutes in January.

Dallas Stars: The Stars assigned rookie goalie Tobias Stephan to the AHL Friday after he appeared in just seven games as Marty Turco's backup. It gives them a chance to get Stephan game action since Turco has been playing lights out lately. Brett Krahn will serve as Turco's backup for the time being ... The Stars might have a suitor for suspended forward Sean Avery. The Rangers are interested in obtaining Avery's services, if he can sneak through waivers ... Steve Ott has four goals and four assists during a six-game point streak. He is just two goals shy of tying his career-high (11) ... Jere Lehtinen is also riding a six-game point streak and has a point in 9 of 10 outings. He has four goals and six assists in that span ... Loui Eriksson has goals in three of his last four games. He is eighth in the NHL with 25 tallies ... Mike Ribeiro has managed a point in six of his last eight games. He has four goals and six assists in that span ... Dallas plays Vancouver, Chicago and Phoenix Week 19. They average 2.50 or fewer goals against each team. Consider benching your Dallas skaters.

Detroit Red Wings: Tomas Holmstrom is expected to miss 3-5 weeks following hernia surgery. Holmstrom played through a similar ailment during the 2007-08 Stanley Cup playoffs, but didn't want to have to endure the same pain this season. He might not return until March ... On a positive note, Henrik Zetterberg returned to the lineup Wednesday against the Coyotes after missing three games with back spasms. He was reunited on the top line with Pavel Datsyuk because of Holmstrom's injury and scored his 18th goal. If Zetterberg remains on Detroit's top line, it could be good things to come from the former All-Star, who just inked a 12-year extension ... Marian Hossa has totaled two goals in his last two games and leads Detroit with 28 tallies ... Detroit has games against Nashville, Minnesota, Colorado and Columbus Week 19. The only team they are averaging better than 2.50 goals against is Columbus.

Edmonton Oilers: It has not been a kind week for the Oilers. They had to place Lubomir Visnovsky on injured reserve because of a shoulder injury suffered Tuesday against the Oilers, and then lost Shawn Horcoff and Tom Gilbert to lower-body ailments Thursday against the Blues. If neither player is in uniform Saturday against Detroit, consider them injury-risk starts Week 19. Visnovsky definitely won't be back Week 19 and might be out for the season. Edmonton isn't ready to pull the trigger just yet, but coach Craig MacTavish said it is going to be a lengthy stay on IR ... Robert Nilsson has five points (one goal) in five games since returning from a concussion ... Dustin Penner is getting a chance to regain his spot on the top line after being demoted to fourth-line duty. Penner hasn't scored in six games and just five points (two goals) in his last 15 outings ... Edmonton has games against Montreal and Los Angeles Week 19. Both teams rank in the top 10 for defense. Consider benching your Edmonton skaters.

Florida Panthers: David Booth and Tomas Vokoun both returned from flu bouts Thursday. It appears safe to keep them active heading into Week 19 ... All-Star defenseman Jay Bouwmeester tallied his 12th goal Thursday against the Islanders. He has scored twice in his last four games ... Richard Zednik also has two scores in his last four appearances ... Stephen Weiss has two goals and six assists in his last five games. He has 27 assists and a plus-16 rating on the season ... Cory Stillman has one goal and five assists in his last five outings ... Florida is home for three of their four games Week 19. They rank 18th in home GFA (2.79). Also, they are averaging 3.00 goals or better against all four of their opponents -- Toronto, Carolina, N.Y. Rangers and Washington. Consider starting your Florida skaters.

Los Angeles Kings: Michal Handzus has scored in three straight games and has racked up six points in his last six outings. He has just 23 points (10 goals) on the season, but he has been the team's best player on their checking-line all season ... The second line of Jarrett Stoll, Kyle Calder and Dustin Brown has been clicking ever since coach Terry Murray put the trio together. In their last seven games, Calder has three goals and six assists; Brown has six goals and six assists; and Stoll has three goals and five assists ... Goalie Jonathan Quick has won five of his last six starts and currently has cemented the No. 1 job for Los Angeles while he has the hot hand ... Oscar Moller has missed the last 12 games with a broken clavicle, but is practicing with the team and close to playing ... Defenseman Tom Preissing, who has been in Murray's doghouse for quite some time, is battling a case of dizziness and has been ruled out indefinitely ... Denis Gauthier is eligible to return from his five-game suspension Feb. 14 against the Oilers. It's still best to keep him reserved Week 19 ... The Kings face Edmonton, Calgary and the N.Y. Islanders Week 19. All three teams rank in the bottom 10 for defense, so consider starting your Kings skaters.

Minnesota Wild: Injured forward Marian Gaborik has been rehabbing in Vail, Colo., following hip surgery and plans to start skating next week. That means the free agent-to-be will again become a focal point as the March 4 trade deadline approaches. Many believe that a contending team could take a flier in Gaborik and be willing to risk that the former 40-goal scorer will be healthy for the playoffs. The Wild are still hoping Gaborik will return for the final 12-13 games. Gaborik is still a ways off from returning, so continue to keep him stashed in Fantasy ... Forward Owen Nolan is back on the injured list, this time with muscle spasms. It’s not a serious injury, but Nolan has dressed for just 31 games this season ... Pierre-Marc Bouchard has three goals and six assists during a four-game point streak ... Mikko Koivu has three goals and six assists in his last six games. He tallied his 35th assist Wednesday against the Ducks, setting a new career-high.

Montreal Canadiens: Georges Laraque returned to the lineup Friday after missing more than a month with a back injury ... Mathieu Dandenault (arm) is close to coming off IR, but Montreal wants to ease him back into the mix ... Patrice Brisebois is day-to-day with a lower-body injury ... Guillaume Latendresse will be out at least six weeks with a shoulder injury ... Robert Lang could be out for the season following Achilles' surgery ... Coach Guy Carbonneau has reunited Andrei Kostitsyn, Tomas Plekanec and Alexei Kovalev in hopes they can jump start the offense. Carbonneau has been disappointed with their output after they were one of the Canadiens' most productive lines last season ... Christopher Higgins scored his second short-handed goal Tuesday against the Penguins. He has two goals in five games since returning from a shoulder injury ... Montreal has four road games Week 19. They rank 16th in road GFA (2.60).

Nashville Predators: Coach Barry Trotz has finally come out and has said rookie goalie Pekka Rinne is the team's starting goalie, replacing an inefficient Dan Ellis. Rinne had started the first five games since the All-Star break, winning four. Ellis started Friday against the Wild, but it was his first appearance since Jan. 17 ... First-line center Jason Arnott has scored goals in consecutive games. He has five goals in his last 13 outings. He did not score a goal in his previous 11 games ... Ryan Jones has one goal and two assists in five games since being recalled from Milwaukee of the AHL ... A few of the Predators' top enforcers are battling injury. Wade Belak is out of action with a shoulder injury and Jordin Tootoo is sidelined by a cut on his right hand. Both players are day-to-day ... Martin Erat was the only Predators player to total double-digit points (10) in January ... Nashville has homes games against Detroit, Boston and St. Louis Week 19. The Predators are second to last in the NHL in home GFA (2.46). Consider benching your Nashville skaters.

New Jersey Devils: The biggest news out of Devils' camp this week is the expected return of Martin Brodeur. The future Hall of Famer is targeting a home game Feb. 26 against the Avalanche as his possible return date from an elbow injury that has kept him sidelined since November ... Forward Jamie Langenbrunner has scored in four straight games, totaling seven goals and an assist in that span. Langebrunner was honored as the NHL's Player of the Week for Jan. 26-Feb. 1 and Player of the Month for January, when he had nine goals and eight assists in 14 games ... Zach Parise has four goals and five assists during a seven-game point streak ... Travis Zajac has seven assists during a four-game point streak ... Brendan Shanahan has been elevated from the fourth line to the third line. He now skates beside Brian Rolston and John Madden ... Unlike Nashville, New Jersey is home for all four of its games Week 19. The Devils are 10th in home GFA, averaging 3.20 goals. Consider starting your New Jersey skaters.

N.Y. Islanders: While the Islanders were able to get Joey MacDonald back from a groin injury this week, they are now without All-Star defenseman Mark Streit, who is out with a "painful" shoulder injury. Streit will play as long as he can deal with the pain, but if he isn't active Saturday against the Lightning, then he is an injury-risk start Week 19 ... As for the situation in net, it will be interesting to see what happens. Yann Danis has been very solid as of late and will likely share time with MacDonald until either player establishes himself in net ... Rookie Josh Bailey had his first multi-point game Jan. 29 against the Thrashers and now has two in his last four appearances after netting a goal and assist Thursday against the Florida ... Trent Hunter has three goals and one assist during a four-game point streak ... Kyle Okposo has five goals and one assist in his last six games.

N.Y. Rangers: Starting goalie Henrik Lundqvist is under the weather with the flu bug, but should return Week 19, so keep him active as a No. 1 Fantasy goalie ... The Rangers have moved Brandon Dubinsky to wing on the second line in hopes of getting his offensive game going. Recent AHL-call up Artem Anisimov has taken Dubinsky's second-line center role ... Scott Gomez was the only Rangers' skater to notch 10 points in 12 January games ... Marc Staal and Aaron Voros both had more than 20 penalty minutes last month ... The Rangers play New Jersey, Philadelphia, Washington and Florida Week 19. They are averaging 4.00 goals against the Devils and Flyers, and averaging 2.00 or fewer goals against the Capitals and Panthers.

Ottawa Senators: Ottawa is 0-1-1 in their first two games under interim coach Cory Clouston, who replaces the fired Craig Hartsburg. The Senators have scored just three goals in their first two games under their new coach ... Nick Foligno was a healthy scratch in his last game under Hartsburg, but is already making a lasting impression on his new skipper. Foligno had a goal and an assist Thursday against the Bruins .... Daniel Alfredsson has three goals and one assist in three February games ... Alexandre Picard is day-to-day with a hand injury. He is skating, but not practicing with the team ... Ottawa ranks dead last in the NHL in scoring, averaging 2.36 goals per game. They are also dead last in road GFA (2.08). It doesn't help they take the road for three games Week 19. Consider benching your Ottawa skaters in the upcoming period.

Philadelphia Flyers: While Braydon Coburn is set to return from a two-game absence because of the flu, Mike Richards and Scottie Upshall are still day-to-day trying to fend off the flu bug. They won't be high-risk starts for Week 19, however, since the flu shouldn’t keep them sidelined much longer ... Rookie defenseman Luca Sbisa has been returned to his junior team, Lethbridge (OHL). He had seven assists in 39 games for the Flyers. He could be recalled once his junior team finishes the playoffs, but should only be held onto in long-term keeper leagues ... Scott Hartnell has five goals and three assists in his last 13 games. He has at least one point in 10 of his last 11 home games ... Daniel Briere (groin) hopes to begin skating next week and is eyeing a Feb. 19 return ... Surprisingly, only Richards and Jeff Carter managed 10 or more points for the Flyers in January ... Enforcers Arron Asham and Riley Cote were up to no good last month. Cote totaled a team-high 47 penalty minutes, while Asham had 39. Both players got into five fights ... Philadelphia has games against the Senators, Rangers and Islanders Week 19. They are averaging 3.00 or more goals against each team. Consider starting your Philadelphia skaters.

Phoenix Coyotes: The Coyotes are expecting Steve Reinprecht and Derek Morris to return to the lineup Saturday against the Hurricanes. Reinprecht has missed three games because of a shoulder injury, while Morris has missed two games with an upper-body ailment ... Unfortunately, Peter Mueller is still recovering from a concussion and Phoenix doesn't have a return date yet ... Joel Perrault has scored twice in three games since his recall from the minors ... Defenseman Keith Yandle has three goals and five assists in his last nine games ... Daniel Carcillo is back in the NHL lead for penalty minutes with a whopping 153 ... Shane Doan was the only Coyotes' skater with 10 or more points in January.

Pittsburgh Penguins: Injured defenseman Sergei Gonchar, who has been out all season following shoulder surgery, has lost his non-contact jersey and participated in his first full practice Monday. Gonchar is hoping to return before March, but is hesitant to pinpoint a date. Gonchar hasn't suffered any setbacks, but added that he won't be 100 percent when he suits up. He will have to play through pain the rest of the season. He just hopes it's tolerable ... Luca Caputi made his NHL debut Tuesday against the Canadiens and became the second fastest player in Penguins history to score a goal in his NHL debut. Caputi scored 2:30 into the game on his first shift ... Miroslav Satan was in the lineup Wednesday against the Lightning despite coach Michel Therrien threatening to make him a healthy scratch. Satan has scored just five times in his last 30 games ... Injured forward Ruslan Fedotenko (hand) skated Wednesday, but Pittsburgh hasn't put a date on his return ... Evgeni Malkin has six goals and four assists during a six-game point streak ... Sidney Crosby has five goals and 14 assists in his last 12 games ... Petr Sykora has scored 13 of his 20 goals this season on the power play. His career-high in power-play scores is 15, which he has achieved three times.

San Jose Sharks: All-Star defenseman Dan Boyle returned to the lineup Thursday against the Hurricanes after missing three games with an upper-body injury. However, Boyle said he is not 100 percent, but just couldn't stand being out of the lineup ... While Boyle returned to the lineup, Douglas Murray exited it Thursday with an undisclosed ailment ... Ryane Clowe reached the 20-goal plateau for the first time in his career Thursday. He has one goal and four assists during a four-game point streak. He has nine points in his last six games ... Milan Michalek tied a career-high with three helpers Thursday. He has five goals and seven assists in his last eight games ... The Sharks' top-line of Devin Setoguchi, Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau has been in a funk lately. Over the last four games, the trio has totaled one goal and three assists ... San Jose is on an East Coast road trip Week 19 to face the Bruins, Penguins, Sabres and Devils. The Sharks rank eighth in road GFA (2.95). Consider starting your San Jose skaters.

St. Louis Blues: The Blues sent shockwaves through the NHL Friday when they put Manny Legace on waivers. The 36-year-old netminder will be sent to Peoria of the AHL Monday if he is not claimed over the weekend. His ineffective play in net called for the harsh move. Chris Mason will now take over the starting duties and Chris Holt will serve as his backup ... Jay McClement scored his second short-handed goal Thursday against the Oilers and has four goals in his last four games ... Both David Backes (leg) and T.J. Oshie (foot) were in the lineup Thursday. Unfortunately, Patrik Berglund sustained a lower-body injury against the Oilers and is day-to-day ... Injured center Andy McDonald, who has been out since November with a broken ankle, is back skating and getting close to making a return. Still, he is not a recommended start Week 19.

Tampa Bay Lightning: Starting goalie Mike Smith is dealing with a mysterious upper-body injury. He could be on the bench Saturday against the Islanders, but is not expected to start. Mike McKenna has pulled that duty. Since Tampa Bay is having a hard time diagnosing Smith's injury, consider him a less than safe start Week 19 ... Defenseman Andrej Meszaros is also on the day-to-day watch with an arm injury, and he is a risky start for the upcoming scoring period ... Tampa Bay is ready to part ways with slumping forward Jussi Jokinen. He was placed on waivers a second time Wednesday and could be placed in the minors if Tampa finds no takers. Jokinen, acquired from the Dallas at the trade deadline last season in the deal that sent Brad Richards to the Stars, had six goals in 16 games to start the season but has gone scoreless since Rick Tocchet assumed head coaching duties from Barry Melrose on Nov. 14 ... Gary Roberts returned to the lineup Wednesday against the Penguins after missing the previous 28 games with an elbow injury and 32 of the past 33 games ... David Koci had a team-high 48 penalty minutes in January ... Tampa Bay is home for games against the Thrashers, Maple Leafs and Capitals Week 19. They rank 23rd in home GFA (2.63). However, they are averaging 3.00 or more goals against each opponent, so you should consider starting your Lightning skaters.

Toronto Maple Leafs: Defenseman Tomas Kaberle is expected to miss up to four weeks with a broken right hand. He has 30 points (26 assists) in 49 games this season and the injury could damper his chances of being traded to a contender ... Jeremy Williams finally returned to the lineup Wednesday against the Sabres after missing 14 games with a shoulder injury ... Toronto continues to work goalie Justin Pogge into the mix, but Vesa Toskala is expected to see the majority of starts in net as Pogge bounces between the NHL and AHL ... Jason Blake had a team-high nine goals, seven assists and 16 points in January. Dominic Moore was the only other skater with 10-plus points (12) ... Mikhail Grabovski had a team-high 36 penalty minutes last month. He didn't even take a major penalty, but was hit with three game misconducts.

Vancouver Canucks: Defenseman Shane O'Brien lashed out at Vancouver management after being a healthy scratch for a second straight game Tuesday against the Hurricanes. He hasn't asked for a trade yet, but it could happen if the rocky relationship doesn’t get any better ... Pavol Demitra returned to the lineup Tuesday after missing three games with a groin injury. He asked to be reunited on a line with Mats Sundin and it seemed to have paid off. Demitra had a pair of assists, while Sundin had a goal and assist. Ryan Kesler was also moved to the second-scoring line and had one goal and two assists ... Roberto Luongo continues to struggle in net. He is 0-2-3 in five games since returning from a groin injury that kept him out almost two months. The All-Star goalie has an uncharacteristic .875 save percentage and 3.70 GAA in that span ... Defenseman Kevin Bieksa's power play goal Tuesday against Carolina was just his second goal in 24 games ... Mason Raymond has spent the last two games in the press box as a healthy scratch. He doesn't have a point in 10 games and doesn't have a goal in 12 outings ... Vancouver is up for four games Week 19 with three on the road. They average 2.75 goals away from home (13th).

Washington Capitals: There are very few people right now playing better hockey than Mike Green. He has scored in five straight games and has five goals and six assists in that span. He leads all NHL defenseman in goals (17) and points (44). Green has 21 points (nine goals) in his last 15 games ... Alex Ovechkin carved out another piece of history Thursday by notching his 200th goal in his 296th game. He is the fourth player in league history to score 200 goals in his first four seasons, joining Wayne Gretzky, Mike Bossy and Mario Lemieux. Ovechkin has six goals and three assists in his last five games ... Alexander Semin has managed a point in 10 of his last 11 games (six goals, five assists) ... It hasn't been all good news for Washington. Backup goalie Brent Johnson is set to have hip surgery Tuesday and will miss 6-8 weeks. Michal Neuvirth and Simeon Varlamov, once he overcomes a knee injury, will split backup duties behind Jose Theodore. It's also a possibility that Washington trades for a veteran backup ... Washington is on the road for three games Week 19, but they have had little trouble scoring away from home. They rank third in road GFA (3.00). They are also averaging 3.00 goals or better against all three of their Week 19 opponents -- Rangers, Lightning and Panthers. Consider starting your Washington skaters.
